They offer five daily prayers and have weekly gatherings. They also try to offer monthly events. I've been in this community for almost two years and I love it. Important note regarding Salatul Jummah. It is done at the Clarion Inn hotel in Leesburg. They do not pray at the masjid for Salatul Jummah. This is most likely due to parking and bathroom facilities. The masjid currently only has one bathroom and two sinks in the wudhu area. It is in the house next to the masjid. So come with wudhu to make it easy. They have plans to build a permanent masjid on the location as the land is very big and they own it.

Great Hindu temple with South Indian deities and delicious dosa!…read more In the center, there's a large statue of Sri Venkateswara or Tirupati Balaji, which is another form of Lord Vishnu worshipped in the South. There are a handful of deities that are more prevalent in the North like Ganesha, Hanuman, Durga, etc. Even though I'm North Indian, I enjoy coming to the temple and worshipping all the deities. There's a wonderful cafeteria downstairs with scrumptious masala dosas, warm tea, and some other apps. There's a great Deepavali annual celebration with fireworks and puja for a few days along with a special Thali and other types of food offered during the festivities. There are events at the temple which you can easily find online. The Thali is a bit different than a traditional Thali with a ginormous Puri, which is more like a Batura, the dhal/kitcheri was quite tasty. The channa chick peas were a bit undercooked and the rice had a spicy kick! While the Thali was fun to try, I'd stick to the Masala Dosas. The heated tile floor downstairs will keep your feet nice and warm. Don't forgot to bring socks for sanitation/hygiene in the bathrooms. My favorite local Hindu temple and always look forward to returning for some worship and dosa!

From discussing the event with co-workers, it is considered a great honor to receive the Lord's blessing with the great bhakti, Shradda and enjoy the feeling of being in Tirumala Tirupati (India). Devoted Hindu's and open minded patrons had an opportunity to participate in all sevas and obtain the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara. I've attended Gatway for 2 1/2 years both in person and remotely. Ed Allen, the main pastor is a very gifted speaker and has a terrific way of making scripture apply to daily life. He's enthusiastic, sincere in his faith, and understands he not perfect, but wants to always give his best to guiding his parish down the path to a Christ centered life. His sermons are always well done and are a highlight of the services. Music is contemporary and well performed! i would say that perhaps they could use some added variety by including some of the more traditional hymns. Also, would be great to have a choir that more parishioners could be part of and even a Children's Choir to occasionally mix up the music a bit. But the Gateway worship band (made up of a rotating group of parish musicians and singers) lead by Jordan and Grace is usually very strong. They have lots of activities, small groups, and actively support a number of very worthy missions around the world. Of course she was, she's not Catholic. Anglican is very close to Catholicism but it is NOT Catholic. I saw a review from a non-Catholic Christian complaining about the church receiving communion. If they knew about the Catholic church, they would understand we take communion very seriously. Please look into it. 2.) I saw a review claiming that the parish repeatedly requests donations. In my 8 years here, that has never been a problem, and I don't think anyone would target you specifically without reason. That is all the debunking I will do for today. Have a good day.

It is the Franciscans who walk the halls of the school and preside over Mass at the St. Joseph Parish. The comfort and grace of St. Francis is apparent in all they do and say. The Rosary is prayed each morning from 7:30 to 8 AM by the community before the 8 AM Mass. Unlike other Catholic churches which are moving away from having statuaries and altars to St. Joseph, Mother Mary, and the saints, Saint Joseph Parish encourages reflection and prayer to the all whom our Church possible. The Franciscan priests give wonderful homilies, making the Gospel accessible to all. It may not be a modern church or an aesthetic church (by modern standards), but parishioners are encouraged to pause, reflect, pray and discuss. In the memory of St. Francis of Assisi who reminded us that it is in giving that we receive, Saint Joseph Parish gives so much to those who attend, and encourages parishioners to share and give in return.

On the down side, the vibe is just not good here. After services, I went to coffee hour, and I'm a pretty gregarious person. That said, not one single person said hello, and I never did find anyone with whom to talk. Also, an important disclaimer: My visit was not recent, and the church has been in transition. Fingers crossed that things are looking up at the church.
