All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, but both of my wax treatments were not up to scratch and I came away with patchy legs and a wonky bikini line. Then I went for a restyle with the master stylist and came away an hour and a half later with barely any style at all. For at least half of the time in the hair salon I was waiting around and, though I was given a magazine and some water, the salon was not very busy at all to be sharing a stylist. Overall the treatments cost nearly £20 more than what was quoted to my partner when he had bought the vouchers for me, meaning I had to pay extra for my own birthday present! The worst was the handling of the situation. When I emailed to ask for my personal details to be removed, I hilighted the above as my reasoning and received a phone call from the manager, who happened to be my stylist. She accepted the wax was not good enough and offered for me to come and get them redone, but was so adamant that there was nothing wrong with the service she provided she spent the majority of the phone call being defensive and repeating the same points again and again despite my response. She didn't even comment on the misquoted price. My partner and I forked out three figures for a basic haircut and dodgy wax jobs. By the end of the long phone call, I felt so bullied down that I just didn't want to argue anymore. There's no way I could return with all the bad feeling left now. I have also found 5* reviews left by the management for their own business and all of their ratings are high on their website because customers can't leave a review.

I had a really pleasant stylist, she was friendly and chatty, she did ask the Holiday question which made her drop points in my estimation. I came out of their relieved with a nice fresh haircut, a £50 hole in my wallet, for the price of the haircut and cowed into submission by the warnings to use this special produce on my hair if using straighteners. The hair product I have to say has been great but the lasting power of the hairstyle was less fab, I was never again able to style it so it looked as good as it did leaving the salon and fell back to the trusty up-dos.

After my flatmate came back with a gorgeous cut from Therapy I had had enough and decided to visit Therapy the very day. They do not take same-day appointments so I was forced to wait for a couple of days, but it was every curl worth the wait! The hairdressers were friendly without being overbearing and transformed my unruly locks into loose, wavy curls I was for once proud to have on my head. The salon is right in the hubbub of the university area and is extremely busy. On the plus side they have great student discounts.

He received a phone call on his mobile during my treatment and disappeared for 45 minutes!
