My wife booked a hair and massage appointment with one of the employess. My wife turned up only to be told that there had been a mistake and she didn't work on the day in question. She had paid in advance and was refused a refund. I contacted the boss who wasn't interested, she even got her partner on the phone! Completely incompetent and not interested in customer service. read more

i bought a Living Social Deal and had my hair cut into layers last week. i didnt think the cut was that bad until i actually got home. after looking at it in the mirror, i felt like my hair had been hacked into. i went to another salon the next day and they were so horrified they wouldnt let me leave looking like it did! she said it was the worst hair cut they had seen in a long time. i had to have quite a lot of my hair cut off (i previously had very long hair) to recify the mistakes. she had only put layers on the left side and back of my hair and some were a good two inches shorter than the ones in the middle. the staff were very friendly in there but obviously the girl who did the actual cut needs more training on how to cut layers into hair. she also starightened my hair while it was still quite damp at the back. i did try and call the salon the next morning but got no reply. the only reason i havent asked for a refund was that i left the salon without complaining (at the time i wasnt fully aware of the bodge job) read more

I had a terrible experience with Adams and Co. Firstly, I bought a Living Social deal which offered full bikini waxing as one of the treatments. When I called to book myself in, they told me they were not qualified to do the full bikini (I wanted Brazilian), so it was going to be only a normal bikini waxing. I broke my toe, so I called to try and reschedule, but it was closed (as you would, on a Sunday) but there was no answer machine available to leave my message. As I was feeling better, I decided to go, but the address on google was wrong (that was my mistake really for not looking at their website, and as I only had the upper part of the voucher, where it doesn't show the address). After 40 min trying to find the place, I rang to say that I gave up, and I wasn't offered to reschedule the appointment, according to their 48 hours rescheduling policy. I Was fine with it being cancelled and me loosing my money, but when I was trying to explain about the lack of answer machine, the wrong directions online, etc, the lady on the was not nice and fought back everything I said. I told her I was just giving her feedback which could help improve their APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Had my hair cut by jo who is a self employed hairdresser at the salon. I had purchased my haircut on dealclouds. When I went in I was made to wait 45 minutes as there was a queue of 2 other people in front of me even though I arrived at my appointment time no apologies made. When she finally got around to cutting my hair she simply wet it and didnt condition it as per the deal. she then hacked in to my hair half interested in cutting it. when finished she didnt show me what the back look liked as other hair dressers do, when asked to see it she said the hand mirror had been misplaced so I couldnt see it. getting home I had a look at the back with a mirror immediately had to ring my old hairdresser to have it rectified. the bottom was uneven and the layers were half cut she had clearly missed the guideline..or it was deliberat..I would not go back to this hairdresser, half price offers are half done haircuts. My 5 year old kid does better haircuts on her barbie dolls!!! read more

It has been under its current ownership since 2009. Prior to this Laura the Salon Director worked at the salon under previous ownership. During the time that Laura has owned the business we have added new services and treatments

Welcome, I am extremely proud if Adams & Co and its team. We are committed to providing you with the latest hair and beauty treatments all under one roof. I started in the Hairdressing industry at just 13 as a Saturday girl - I fell in love with the busy salon environment and getting to meet new people. When I left school I began an apprenticeship and studied my NVQ level 2 & 3 at the City of Bristol College and Reflections Training Academy. In 2009, I got the opportunity to take over the salon from the previous owner - something that I was hugely excited and a tad nervous! Since owning the salon I have learnt many things about business and myself! We also modernised the salon space and built a beauty and tanning room. I have also done many extra courses and also spend a lot of time researching the latest trends/fashions and the things our clients really want from us. Hairdressing is my passion and I love making my clients feel great about themselves. I hope to see you soon!

This is the worst salon I have ever been to. The layout is odd and it feels unfinished, they have…read morebeen open a year so you would expect it to look better than this. It also looked dirty and the towel used for my manicure was filthy. I had shellac removal, pedicure, manicure, eyelash tint and eyebrow shape all these treatments took in total just over an hour which shows how badly they were done. There was no base coat or top coat used for the manicure or pedicure and I was told that nail varnish didn't need a base coat and she forgot to buy top coat and so had ran out!!! But the worst part was saved for the eyelash tint. I have had this done at 4 other salons and have never experienced stinging however not only did this sting really badly but the girl even told me it would sting, so she even knows she's doing it wrong or is so clueless she doesn't realise it shouldn't hurt!! This was a groupon deal but you are supposed to get the treatments cheaper than normal not receive sub standard treatments. It was expensive considering I could have done the manicure and pedicure better myself. Dont go here ALL other salons are better.

They have toning tables to help you keep fit, and offer massages, facials, skin care, slimming products, spray tans, waxing, manicures, piercing, and the list goes on... pop along or check out their website for a full list of what's available. Their prices are also very reasonable, and would be cheaper than anywhere in the city centre making it worth popping along to Fishponds. If you are after an aerobics gym that's women only, instead of being surrounded by men, then its also a great option as they have classes and gym equipment on the upper floor that you can have access to. I'd recommend the place and it's actually a great find, give it a go!

The bar was put in and was too long, which I advised of at the time. I was told that it was absolutely fine. When sitting flush against the outside of my nose (where it should be) it touched the inside of my nose, and it's natural position is sticking out of my nose by a few centimetres, which looks ridiculous. It has also caused two separate infections, with a lot of puss and blood coming out of the piercing). I have tried to get a resolution from the manager with no luck whatsoever, I recommend avoiding this place of you want a decent job done with your piercing (as you'd expect from a professional service).

Inside they continue with a glamour/boudoir theme with chandeliers, pink bows and flock wallpaper. I've had Natalie cut my hair here, and she was very nice and gentle handed. She listened carefully to what I wanted and double checked before cutting which was reassuring. Linda has cut my fringe here and she also did a great job. Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment. They also seem to be a favourite in the area to cut children's hair but don't worry if you have come here to relax - there is a firm notice on the door stating that children must be quiet and under control! It is certainly relaxing here, they keep the local radio on low. Aside from the hairdressers you can also get a massage and waxing of various hairy bits done here. The back rooms are split up into little modules for each of the treatments. Prices for haircuts are very good - I paid £16 for a wet cut and £2 for a quick fringe trim.

My one star is for the hair wash from a very lovely young lady! I have long straight hair and I asked for a trim, feathered at the bottom and my fringe layered into my face under my chin. The hairdresser didn't even straighten my parting which I had to point out. When asked for my fringe to be the same either side and layered into my face under my chin she could not do it and had to ask someone else to do it. They blamed me for not being clear about what I wanted!!! I had to point out I am not a hair dresser and have never struggled in the past when asking for this and also had to point out you could see they were VERY different lengths, I had to show them what I meant by showing them I wanted the same length both sides hence one side is not longer than the other. They then blamed the reason it was not the same either side on my hair!! Made me feel really bad for asking it to be the same both sides and were very rude. I bought this off living social, the first time I have used this site and am now requesting a full refund towards getting my hair fixed somewhere else. I honestly think my hair looked better when I went in than when I came out and was also made to feel really bad about it. Not good! read more

Absolutely awful!! Bought a deal off groupon for highlights and a cut Walked half an hour to get to the salon only to be told the manager was Ill so I couldn't have it done! No email or phone call in advance which would have allowed me to attempt to find somewhere else! Going on holiday 2 days after appointment leaving me no time to get it done (due to work).gutted!!! Had bikini wax done by young girl Leanne.absolute waste of time, ended up having to use hair removal cream wen I got home! Wen I asked for a refund for my hair I was told we have no money in the till and I'd have to go through groupon to get it. Was introduced to Adams & Co via a deal that was purchased for highlights and blowdry. I have been growing my hair for ages as I had a bad experience elsewhere and was very nervous to be trying a new salon but there really was no need. I was greeted at the reception desk immediately by Laura my stylist. We discussed what I wanted and I felt at ease. I had a macadamia repair mask put on my hair which was lovely with the massage aswell. I was so pleased with my hair I rebooked for 8 weeks time (something I never do!!!) I have been looking for a salon that I was happy with for a while now and I'm glad to say I've finally found it ! I have now had my hair cut by Laura several times and have been very pleased with the results. I find Laura takes the time to really listen to my requests as sometimes I find it difficult to explain myself. Also she is very friendly and easy to get along with always showing an interest rather than just going through the motions as I have found with a lot of hairdressers.The salon has a very relaxed atmosphere and all the staff are friendly. I can't praise this salon enough. I was greeted warmly on arrival by all members of staff and offered a drink within minutes. Laura the stylist didn't leave me waiting for long. I was consulted about what wanted and after deciding to go for a drastic change I was reassured that I'd made the right desicio. I was consulted throughout the whole process. I really couldn't have asked for a better haircut and colour for my hair! I didnwait to book another appoinment and booked in before leaving! Extremely unhappy with my hair cut not what I wanted or asked for nothing like the style I requested just a much shorter version of what I already had. Very disappointing, there is nothing I can do with it now. Staff were friendly; but I just wish they would listen to what the customer wants instead of what they think they want. Very confused as to where to get my hair cut in the future. It's too short to rectify at the moment. I can't wait for it to grow. Its also too short to style it, straighten it or anything. Amy was really friendly and by the time I was done it felt like i had been going there for years, i think i could've sat there all day chatting! I visited Adams & Co today and am really impressed by the standard of service I received. The salon is modern and funky in hot pink and the staff are really welcoming.
