I had a great week working out here!…read more I'm giving this gym 5 starts because as it a tourist it's often hard to find a fully equipped clean gym that allows for daily or weekly passes. The website suggests to sign up online, but I couldn't pay without a Austrian bank account. However, when I walked in it was a hassle free sign up, and the front desk staff are very lovely. Not all the staff spoke English but it didn't matter since it was very simple. They give you a pass, and each time I traded it for a entrance band and a lock. (So you don't need to bring your own lock - they also sell locks.) The gym itself has everything you need. It was never too busy (I went various times throughout the day.) There is a weightlifting area, cardio area with various treadmills, bikes, rowers, etc, and a functional open concept area. There are also 2 studios for classes. There are 2 squat racks, and conveniently also some Olympic lifting plates and pads. The gym is very clean, and make sure you bring a towel with you to cleanup your sweat. It also incredibly bright filled with natural light. I believe there is a sauna but I didn't use it while I was there.

The coach see you just as a wallet and don't give you any good advices, everybody look at you like a stranger, like something you doesn't want. The program for student is just crap and this is really expensive and more important...they chase you until you paid for one year (yes I said one year, but in my contract that's only 6 months, because they just want your money and after they do not care !) So my advice : NEVER in this sport place, you will lose your money not your weight !

The first floor space is pretty enclosed and seems to amplify any noise. I visited with my mother who is in her late 70s. We didn't know it, but because she was in a motorized wheelchair, she got reduced admission, and I got in free as her caretaker, great bonus! But it was ROUGH on the first floor. So many kids and I don't know why, but it seemed like all of them were screaming at once. We decided to jump ship and go straight to the top floor and work our way down and that was a great idea. It was actually a calm enough environment that we could enjoy ourselves. Plus, the views from the top floors of the city of Vienna are incredible. The building itself is really interesting architecture with a very abstract shape. It's not just an aquarium, although there are several floors and exhibits dedicated to marine life. They had all kinds of animals! There was an area on the top floor that was like a giant wraparound birdcage that you could walk through and 100s of parakeets were flying all around us. We saw a giant turtles, lemurs, all types of lizards, sharks, eels etc. My favorite exhibit was definitely a three floor area that was like a walk-in monkey exhibit. There were several types of monkeys and they ran all around you! You've got to be aware, though, if you try to stand under a monkey and take a selfie, it might pee on you- I actually saw it happen! I get that this is a great place to bring kids but dang these people seem like they had no boundaries and they were just all going crazy. That being said, I think it's worth a visit but my recommendation would be to visit on one of the earlier weekdays, not towards the weekend. Hopefully it wouldn't be as crowded.

The gym is set up so that the ground floor (American first floor) and first floor (American 2nd…read morefloor) both have weight and cardio machines, as well as some free weights. There's a small winding staircase to the second floor (American 3rd floor) that has the women's and men's locker rooms, which also have showers. There are no WCs or sinks in the locker rooms, only showers, which can be kind of a hassle, but there are toilets on each of the other floors of the gym. Pros: --open on Sundays and holidays (8:00-18:00) --location --new equipment --lots of cardio machines with video screens and iPod plug-ins for watching TV and movies (cable or from your iPod) --women's locker room has plastic bags for wet/dirty things, hair dryers, spray deodorant, and body lotion; and often also hair ties, hair spray, Q-tips, cotton pads, and other odds-and-ends for getting dressed and putting on make-up after a work out and/or shower --the showers seem pretty new and clean --they'll make you a "personal offer" for gym membership (monthly price) based on how often you're likely to go to the gym per week, etc --free trial day --free work out plan with a trainer (set goals, learn how to use the machines if you don't already know, etc) --there are always several people working there, and there's a "bar" with protein shakes and sports drinks, as well as bottled water and fruit for sale, etc. Cons: --opens relatively late every morning (8:00-22:00 M-F) --no air conditioning --limited number of free weights --no classes --no WC (or at least lavatory) in locker room --located on Mariahilfer Straße, so kind of a pain (although easy to get to by the U-3 U-Bahn at the Neubaugasse stop) --no monthly contract available - yearly only --gets really busy at rush hour, starting around 16:30, and is super busy by 18:00 --very minor con: that creepy logo with the caricature of the owners/managers (?) is everywhere in the gym (it's on their website if you want a closer look - my pictures don't show it very well). A pro & a con: ISC provides lockers with built-in locks (so you don't have to bring your own lock), and you get the key when you arrive/check-in with the locker number on it (and it's on a chain you can wear around your neck while you work out - see the picture). However, you can't choose which locker you want and, for me at least, some are located in better places than others (particularly in the women's locker room), such that I'd rather just bring my own lock and have my pick of the lockers. They do have smaller lockers available for rent (only €25/year!), but there's a pretty long waiting list to get one of those.

Deceit value for money. Cab get crowded but they are adding extra floor fir this purpose. Downside…read morereally that they do not have AC.

The mixed gym has a good number of machines although sometimes you have to wait for a treadmill or cross trainer during peak time. Changing rooms with lockers (bring your own lock or hire one at the front desk) and showers. Women's gym is accessible via women's changing room. It is quite small and could do with being a bit bigger so it could have more machines but on the whole it is ok. This Fitinn also has a solarium in it which you can include in your monthly subscription. Gym only membership is 19.90 a month and is definitely worth it in my opinion (if you pay extra you can also access any Fitinn in Vienna, again worth it if you work/live in different areas!)

They have tanning beds (solarium) which you can use for 1 Euro each time you need a little more golden bronze in your life. You can also use the lockers (so bring a lock, or you can rent one from the front desk) and you can use the showers at the price of 1 Euro per minute of showering (I believe). Also. You have to bring separate shoes. Let me explain this because I wasn't very clear on it and when I (unknowingly) wasn't abiding by the rules, the red-headed meanie working the front desk put my membership on hold to verify I had separate gym shoes. So when you walk around in regular shoes in Vienna you step in gross crap (dog feces, urine, etc), just nasty stuff. So this gym requires that you walk around in the gross outside wearing shoes #1 and when you come in (you can either sit at the table or go to the locker room) and put on shoes #2 and then you can use the machines. So. Just be clear on that. When I signed up, I thought they were telling me don't wear flip flops, wear gym shoes, but noooo they want different cleaner, specifically for the gym, gym shoes. Hope that helps someone out there avoid having the red-headed meanie put your account on hold.

The intention of placing that ugly prop to the entrance must be: to give a warm welcoming gesture to the customers but for my opinion it is a politically seen highly problematic prop. That is a gym, in Austria/Vienna, which is operated by Austrians, its not a restaurant own by Chinese people. There is indeed no meaning to place this ugly prop in the entrance. If they like to they could put there a traditional Austrian man prop wearing dirndl welcoming the gym guests! (I would even find that one problematic: which century are we living in please?) So: Why a Chinese man? Are we in China? Secondly I must say at the gym, fitness machines are not very good, I can tell since I am someone with an extremely busy travel schedule and have been working out in diverse studios on this planet in the recent years, so I think for this price the quality could be a bit better though... And some music in the dressing room wouldn't definitely harm. Lastly at the studio the trainers are quite friendly but there is a woman at the desk with red hair, who is extremely unfriendly, she even doesn't look in your eyes while talking, she never smiles. There are enough unfriendly people living in this city, indeed some more unfriendliness is not necessary at all especially at the gym where you pay for.

The customer relationship is appalling, considering the price segment and the self-proclaimed "exclusive/luxury" gym. Beware of everything that you discuss with the sales manager, Alexander Pazourek, you might be in for a lot of surprises after you sign the contract. The spinning courses are limited, and the only way to reserve a place is to come in more than 30 minutes early to put a towel on your bike. The schedule of the gym is for weekend days until 9, but you must go to lockers area 30 in advance, so 8 30 the latest. Instructors there are like overzealous policemen. They will come at 8 30 sharp to tell you that it's time to go to the locker. The only other time I was approached by an instructor was to ask me if I have a towel while I was running on the treadmill, and after showing it to her she just said "Oh, I did not see it because it was black". On the good side, go there if you want to make use of their 25m pool as it is big, clean and there are only few people.
