The staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming from the start. Fair warning: the drinks start flowing around 9am, so pace yourself and bring lots of sunscreen -- the sun + cocktails add up quickly. The booze selection is pretty generic, but plentiful, and the snacks along the way are appreciated. The fajita lunch was solid and hit the spot after a morning on the water. Shoutout to Ricky Ricardo, truly the hostess with the mostest -- high energy, fun, and kept the vibe going all day. Luis was also fantastic, constantly checking in and somehow remembering everyone's names, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. They even slowed the boat down so we could watch whales, which was a highlight, and having a photographer on board was a nice touch to capture the day. The music on the ride home was a little outdated, but honestly... it just turned into a dance party anyway -- especially once the tequila shots started making the rounds. All in all, a great excursion with a fun crowd, attentive staff, and memorable moments. Easy 4 stars and a solid choice if you're looking for a lively day trip while in Puerto Vallarta.

I agreed, but since the owner messaged me, I decided to confirm that the yacht pictured in the photos was the yacht I'd be going on. They responded, "rest assured, the yacht in the photos is the yacht you will be on". On the day of the event, we were given life jackets to get on a two story boat that had Chica Locca Tours written on it. I thought this boat would take us to another location where we would get on the yacht. Nope. We arrived at the secluded beach where there was no WiFi and no manager on site. I asked three different staff members about the yacht and was told: 1) there is no yacht, 2) the yacht is for a different tour, and 3) the yacht was undergoing maintenance. I asked to speak with the director, but he was no where to be found. They did provide drinks, food, and snacks. The water activities were included but no one was there to show you how to paddle board or kayak - just the equipment was available. The snorkel gear was placed in a large bin with no way to clean the items from other passengers using it. I was incredibly disappointed with this tour as I confirmed prior that a yacht would be available and I was leaving Mexico soon so I wanted to take some pictures of the tour for my clients. Upon arriving back to the pickup location, I went back to the office and asked to speak with the manager. The staff told me to write the same person on WhatsApp instead of talking to them. When I did that, the staff became incredibly rude so I decided to reach out to Viator since I purchased this tour not only as a client but also as an agent. Viator submitted my complaint and a request for a full refund. The tour operator denied my request with no further explanation. I then spent an hour with customer service, emailing records and screenshots of my text messages confirming a yacht should have been present. What I find incredibly disheartening is that after I submitted my complaint, the tour operator changed the name of the tour from Mega Yacht to Mega Catamaran and changed the photos that showed a yacht to the two story boat were were actually on. I provided this evidence to Viator who confirmed with their IT team that they did in fact update the tour listing when they denied my request for a refund, indicating that they did in fact lie and that move was purposely made to seem like they were in the right. WRONG. Needless to say, Viator processed my claim for a full refund and I will not be recommended this tour to any of my clients as it was not advertised correctly and they are now on my "not trustworthy" list. It's a shame because the staff were nice, incredibly friendly and attentive. But nonetheless, IT WAS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR, and had they told me it wasn't a yacht, I would have canceled the tour and went with another company. This is false advertising. I hope they learned their lesson.

They took good care of us and made sure to keep us safe on both. Luxury snorkeling was nice and we got to stop at the beach as well. Our tour guide, Manuel was knowledgeable and kind. Everyone else on the boat also took good care of us. We had a blast, saw lots of different fish, had snacks, drinks, and lunch. Loved that we stopped at the beach as well where we were able to take lots of pictures and ride the banana boat! Extreme adventures was also a very nice experience. Some were scarier than others but I still did them and had a great time. I'm glad I got to face some of my fears. The staff was friendly (Enrique, pauline, Erick, joya, Jorge, Katy, Alex, and hector) and they all took such good care of us. I never felt unsafe and knew I was in good hands. Please bring bug spray, there are lots of mosquitoes over there. And be aware if you want to ride the ATVs it's $50 extra non refundable insurance. We opted not to do that and still had fun and didn't feel like we missed much. If you want pictures, buy the picture packet when you book online because it's triple the price if you decide to get it on the spot.

With the boat tours they tell you exactly when to show up. The computers have all your details and if there's a problem or if you have questions, they help you and are very professional about it. They have different styles of boats depending on your trip but they all are clean and operated by professionals. I'm saying this a lot because when safety matters, you want to know that people are trained for their jobs. We had a highly skilled captain, very entertaining and informative tour guide and many helpful deckhands. We snorkeled (clean equipment), bird watched, saw many whales, sea turtles and went to a secluded beach. All food and drinks provided were tasty and abundant. We arrived back at port safely and highly enjoyed our excursion. If we had more time, we would have done more.

There are iguanas, parakeets, monkeys, a python, a lemur and a toucan. You can actually get pretty close to some of the animals you can hold the toucan and go into the monkey area, where you can feed them a little cup of banana purée. My 3-year-old absolutely LOVED seeing all the animals. One tip: if you order something from the menu, you don't have to pay the separate $5 entrance fee to see the animals. We were already going to get a refresher, so that worked out perfectly. Overall, we had a really good experience, but I definitely wouldn't drive an hour into the jungle if this is the only thing you have planned. I'd recommend having a few other activities or stops nearby to make the drive worth it. You also really don't need to spend more than 30 minutes to an hour here. The river water was extremely muddy when we went. Locals told us it was still safe to get in, but personally, I wouldn't risk it. Overall, really fun, especially with kids, and not a bad little stop if you're already in the area!

Something to be aware of--the seats on the boat aren't very comfortable and my back and hips hurt a lot by the time we were halfway across the bay. Taking the truck might be better for people who need a backrest and leg room.

I appreciated having the crew explain how to operate the ATV, safety advice, and how they followed along with the riders making sure we were all OK and taking photos & videos. The ATVs were well-maintained and in good working order. We had no breakdowns or operational issues among our tour group. We enjoyed the views and the stops along the way where we got to try making tortillas, and having a snack by the cool creek. We also stopped for a tequila tasting, which was informative and fun. The tour started at the Estigo facility in town and we were escorted out of town by the Estigo guides. It's a bit bumpy riding in town on cobblestone roads, but as soon as we were out of town it was smooth riding. We did a morning tour, so I struggled with sunlight in my eyes, which proved to be a bit concerning when rounding corners as we headed up the hills leaving town. I admit to white-knuckling the early part of the ride. Once we were in the foothills, I was able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I booked this tour on my own through the Estigo website, which made it a much better value than one of the cruise ship excursions. We also had a smaller group and just took a cab from the cruise port to Estigo's faculty. I definitely recommend Estigo if you are looking for a fun activity when visiting Puerto Vallarta!

(Marc had a number of repeat customers on every dive/snorkel excursion.) Marc and the crew were respectful to us all. They were precise with correct pronoun usage and helped everyone feel welcome. While Marc comes across as a jokester on land, as a dive master he was calm, patient, organized, and safety-focused. He made efficient decisions and clear instructions. The visibility in the water varied dive to dive and a few of us got separated from the group at various times. As Marc had done a safety briefing on the boat, each of us knew what to do and all remained well. When I got separated, I didn't panic, started my ascent, and Mark located me during my safety stop. (Other dive boats in the area had helped him locate me by my air bubble stream. Clearly a community that all looks out for others!) Marc and I returned to the group and the dive continued without issue. We even saw a massive turtle on our final dive!!! [Even with marginal visibility, other sightings included many octopuses, a baby jellyfish, sea urchins, sea snakes, sting rays, sea cucumber, eel, nudibranchs, lobster, starfish, fresh coral and soooooooo many fish.
