I can always count on AD Meyers to have the uniforms I need. Great people and great service.

I walked into this establishment and stood in front of the counter for over 10 minutes before a white gentleman walked in and suddenly a women in the back walked to the front counter and greeted him. She never looked in my direction and when she finished with him she walked to the back. I was picking up some items and was trying not to be late for work . Finally a man in the front glared at me and the women came from the back and asked the man to help me . All was completed in 45 minutes or more. I was late for work. It's not just me there is a problem in the customer service. I complained to management by email no response. read more

My boyfriend who's in the NYPD lost his hat on a Saturday. I was rushing to get him a new one from this store before they closed at 4pm. I called the store on my way there and spoke to someone who told me they're usually there for a few extra minutes. I arrived at this store at 4:05pm. A white man locked the door in my face and was so extremely rude to me. He literally turned the lock as I was standing there. Screamed at me through the door "I cannot help you" I tried to say I just need to quickly get a hat and he screamed again "I cannot help you" and walked away. So rude. Terrible service when I spoke to someone not even 30 minutes before this occurred. read more

Ordered a NYPD Dickie online from their website a month ago. I never received the order and finally called them. I thought maybe because of the pandemic they were behind. First the woman who answers the phone is not friendly at all. Bad customer service attitude. I informed her I never received my item she put me on hold, than came back asking for a tax #. I told her am a Sag/After actor. She put me on hold and than came back and said it was not sent out because you can't order it. She than claim they sent me an email. Which I checked they never did. They thought I would forget and they pocket my money. I told them I want my money refunded she said ok. I still haven't seen my refund. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. I SUGGEST SHOPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

This is my second or third time placing an online purchase from Meyers, they were fantastic!! It's difficult for me to get to any of the uniform stores, so the ability to order online in great. I ordered 5.11 pants, command sweaters, long sleeve , short sleeve shirts well as 3/4 jacket and a duty jacket over the past 3 months. The delivery is was extremely fast. There were a few minor issues like an incomplete order, but when I called the woman on the other end was friendly and attentive to my needs. The order was corrected promptly. Great customer service!!! read more

Horrible customer service. They messed up my order then tried to convince it was better. I also got charged a different price than my entire office. I think I'm completely done with this place. I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

1. The costumer service was really bad. I stood in the store waiting 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and help me. Then the woman who helped me was distracted because she was going back and forth chatting with a off duty cop the whole time until she actually helped me. why do you have to be so distracted? Then when she's helping me she leaves and bounces back to the cashier to deal with the off duty cop's order. If you need to help so much just switch with the cashier and ring up instead of keeping me waiting for even longer. when she comes back I asked if they had more emt patches, she didn't bother checking at first and just said no. 2. This store doesn't have anything. just like 10 columns of the same overpriced 5.11 NYPD pants and NYPD patched jackets. Every piece of uniform in the store is overpriced and for cops. I would NOT recommend coming here unless you're a cop and even then this store is bare bones. no other uniforms or patches except for cops. This store is 95% for cop stuff only so if you're EMS or anything else besides a cop don't even bother. Just shop online or try a different store 1000%. If you're a cop. whatever knock yourself out but they still have very limited clothing options read more

Ordered some tan 5.11 pants from their website. They were the only place i could find my size and desired color in stock after an exhaustive search. Web page said 6 in stock. I ordered and was charged for two. Two days later realized I hadn't received any shipping info. Called customer service. Was told they were out of stock and would be shipped in 30'days directly from the manufacturer. When I asked why the web page said six (6) in stock, the lady yelled at me and told me to "suck it up". Asked for refund since I could get them cheaper from the manufacturer when they came in stock, was told a refund May or May not be possible since the order was a manufacturer direct sale. the pants arrived almost 60 days later. I will never spend my money with these guys again. I know I was just a small personal order and not a NYPD contract, but that's no reason to treat a customer like a nuisance. They were jerks on the phone. Never again. read more

Order from them April took almost a month I had to call them the lady was apologetic so I tried again in May the 1st week didn't get my order till the second second week of June never again read more

Terrible customer service! Things are stressful enough with the entire COVID situation and the individuals here do not make it any better. Their policy's have changed due to this pandemic, which is understandable, but they do not disclose this at the time of purchase. You are not able to try items on so make sure you know your exact size when you walk in because if you purchase something and walk out and try to go right back in they will give you a hard time! The women are rude and treat you as if they're doing you a favor not as if you're a paying customer. Do not go here look for another place! read more

I can see custom service dont mean anything to the ladies that work at this store or they only cater to a certain type of people. I left because of the attitude and rudeness towards me from the workers because I am not a NYPD, eventhough she clearly see that I worke for the city and I was in my uniform jacket. This is just sad and sicken that I was discriminated against. read more

Where do i start they over charged federal officers for there new uniforms 75 dollars a pants when we first needed them and they was the only distributor now they gove you the same pants as a set of 3 for $120. Then they didnt accept any returns for any uniform even the pants even if they dont fit right. Now they accept returns because they are not the only distribution company and they have plenty of my people at my jobs complaining because they have clothes that don't fit even though they bought there right size. Now lets get to about 6 months average of people having there uniforms and there pants hems is coming apart, velcor straps for pockets falling apart, stitching is done shitty around zippers. I would highly recommend not to buy uniforms from them until they dont better making clothes quality and better return polices not change it when you find out you not the only distributor you make enough from federal employees actually from all law enforcement to treat us better then that or lose more money. read more

Store is located in a very busy commercial area so parking can be difficult. They sell pretty much everything you need for your uniform or just starting a new job and need. They offer specials on certain packages. It can get very crowded and the workers are very limited in here. They take cash or credit with a minimum of $10 (which I find wrong) The workers are not that pleasant you might have to go in there knowing and answering your own questions and knowing what you need and how you like it. They are pricey but when you really need it and its there you will just take it. They also sell accessories like ties, hats, belts, patches, boots, stickers, even little kid toys for the job. read more

I placed an order for a couple of items and paid for Priority shipping. You figure 3-4 days tops. It's been 6 days and still no sign of my items. I sent them a message because theres no way to track your order but I didnt receive a response. Getting a little pissed. Next time I shop elsewhere. read more

I'm new to the BOP and learned the hard way, wish I would have looked at Meyers reviews before purchasing uniforms. The facility I work at does not have pants to try on and female sizing is confusing. Yes, I was measured correctly and I'll tell you about sizes in a bit. First I tried Meyers "low rise" thinking I had a better shot fitting those. 2 of 3 pairs were wrong size, didn't even have a tag on inside of pants, it's like they guessed and sent them. The button/zip shirts are cheaply made, first one I took out of the bag, one of the buttons popped off when I was very carefully trying to unbutton it to try the shirt on. Trying to return/exchange is a joke. Between 4 total pants that don't fit, 4 button shirts that are so so quality, and 1 women polo, they got most of my uniform allowance and they could care less about the customer, they were paid. Women pant sizing, just to give an idea for anyone struggling, I'm a size 8-10 in jeans, but in the normal class B pants (not the low rise,) I'm a size 6. I'm 5 ft 6 and around 145-150 lbs. 32 length was perfect for me. The size 6 I did NOT purchase from Meyers, as I've learned my lesson and they'll never get my business again. I found Unitec and the return policy there is outstanding! With Unitec it does not matter if your pants have been hemmed or shirt embroidered, as long as you have not worn or washed them, they WILL exchange. They have a "promise to fit" guarantee. I've never ordered from Galls, so I'm not sure how they run their business. I'm in the middle of exchanging my "hemmed" pants with Unitec right now, they are very nice. Standard shipping, I ordered on a Monday and received them the following Monday going through tec. My advice, especially if you're new, stay away from Ad Meyers. They will gladly take your money and "guess" on pant sizes when they send them to you. read more

I've ordered through their website twice and have had a bad experience both times. First time ordered a short sleeve 5.11 shirt and it came with a button missing. Second order was for the new Blauer flex cargo pants, they sent the original Blauer cargos and when they re sent the correct pants they didn't hem them as requested. Will never buy anything from them again. read more

This is such a great place to deal with. The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and treats you with kid gloves. They have a large stock of NYPD uniforms and gear and take every measure to make sure you always have what you need! Will come back over and over again. read more

Worse company I've literally ever had to deal with. Having attempted to order uniforms through their BOP website you quickly realize that everything is grossly overpriced and of terrible quality. Having had to order my uniforms through them because of what looks like a union collusion with a federal contract you quickly realize it's almost laughable at not only how your treated but the time from order to shipment. I waited over 3 months for 2 Polo shirts. Upon arrival I noticed that the shirts I paid 43 dollars for could be purchased online for 11 dollars apiece. The mark-up on boots is outrageous! A pair of dinner boots you can buy anywhere for 80 bucks are 160 on their website! 5.11 products are marked up just the same! read more

Customer service is not good, the employees are so rude, they all act as though you are bothering them when you ask for something,in person and especially over the phone....Bad enough the place is over priced, the least they can do is treat the people that keep them in business nice, just be a little pleasant! read more

Customer service is really lacking at this place. Not to mention the astronomical price and markups they charge for any and all uniform items. Unfortunately, there are few options in the City for uniforms. read more

Mass transit is best because parking is ridiculous here. They have many uniform options here and hemming for slacks is included in the expensive price. Service is extremely slow and low quality. The wait for one pair of slacks to be hemmed exceeded 1/2 an hour. read more

I ordered my graduation uniform here and the experience was awful. This is a place where the customer service is nonexistent. The staffs there are just plain rude and treat customers like an idiot. I had personally experienced and endured their rudeness towards me. I am a calm person but still cannot tolerate their nonsensical treatment of me. First, they don't have a concept of time. I need the uniform inspected but they kept giving me letters and told me to show it to my supervisor instead of the uniform. At the end, they took almost two months to get my uniform ready, and gave the uniform to me two days before my picture day. Then, when I got my uniform, the dress pant was way too tight. They gave me 25 waist size even though my waist size has gone up to 28. I get it people gain weight, but they should know better and should have leave some room for growth when they first measured it. So, when I showed them that the pant is way too tight, I can't even put it on, I asked them to loosen up for me, they humiliated me by telling me to take off my basketball pant because they think my basketball pant is the reason that created the problem (I said it to my self: you made the pant 25 waist size, and my size has gone up to 28, why you telling me my under garment is the problem). I tolerated their dumbness and rudeness, took off my basketball pant, tried on the pant, and show them that the pant was still too tight. They then went ahead to loosen up the pant, but in the end, the waist of the pant still end up in the tighter side. They are just so unprofessional. Lastly, I have to emphasize that the items in their shop are way overpriced. I should have gone to the other vendor when one of my classmate told me to try the other vendor that has cheap price and high quality, but I was stupid enough to believe that this place may be better. In the end, after all my money spending here, I realized that this is just a crappy place. Warning: do not read and believe these 5 and 4 star reviews, these are fake reviews that simply tell lies since they appear as soon as I wrote this review. read more

I've been coming to this store for a really long time. I'm usually able to get whatever I need without any trouble. The store is well stocked, the employees are pleasant and the prices are decent. I usually come here in the afternoons, this particular day I decided to come in the morning. I walked up to the display case in search of a shield holder. Once I saw the one I wanted I pointed it out to the women behind the counter. She showed me every one except the one I wanted. So again I pointed to the one I wanted and again she showed me something else. I looked at her as if she had two heads. Another woman came from the back of the store and asked me if I needed help. I proceeded to show her what I wanted and I'll be damned if she didn't give me something else. I said to myself you have got to be freaking kidding me!!! Finally one of the guys came over and asked if he could help, I pointed to what I wanted and he got it with no problem. I don't know what was up with the female employees. Maybe their morning coffee hadn't kicked it yet, or their morning medications or whatever. I'll stick to coming here in the afternoons from now on.... read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I ordered my required work uniform pants and the size was so far off that the crotch hung between my knees and could pull them down my legs fully zipped and buttoned. I could not wear the pants and walk/run safely. I was told to send them back (at my shipping cost) only to be then told that all of the pants are cut the same and that I should get them tailored, at my expense! They cost $62 + shipping, and now I'm suppose to get them tailored! Not just the waist, but the hips, length, and front and back rise. They should have just sold me a roll of material and I could get them made myself. When I asked for a refund because they did not have the item I was refused. They don't give refunds even though they can't provide the items required. Terrible customer service. This was just the pants, now they lost all of my business. read more

Worst customer service ever! Over priced. Ordered a polo shirt and sleeves are super wide. Bad quality assurance! Contacted Customer Service and they said I will get a refund by the end of the day. I'd waited a whole week and still no refund. I contacted customer service and they replied with ," you ordered the wrong size and we will not refund you." I replied back with I'd ordered the right size and your polo are defective. They sent me a form to fill out and asked me to sent it back to them so they can see the polo and to determine if the product is defective and maybe I get a refund. If they decided not to refund I have to pay for the shipping cost again to get they crappy AD Meyer Polo back. The initial shipping was $10 and another $10 to ship it back to AD Meyers so they can see the product and another $10 if they decide not to refund so I can get the polo back; it'll be a total of $30 just for shipping. Worst Company Ever....Hope Karma will get them! read more

I had the worst Experience with AD Meyers. They are rude, and they don't care about your order. It took me 2 months to get my shirts. They did not call me or send me a email about my order. I had to call them.. when talking to them about my order they seem like they didn't care. I agree with JUST R. I think i had the same problem with the same people. Good luck to getting the right size clothing because it changes every time you order. Its sad how they are the primary source with no competition out there for them to marketing uniform. So I can see why they would act like that. They don't care... read more

Let me start by saying that there are only a handful of stores to choose from when buying nypd required uniforms and accessories.I went to Meyers in search of a jacket, purchased one for $175($195) with the taxes(even tho there were cheaper ones). Purchased the jacket over the weekend went back to work on Monday and was told that this was not the correct jacket. Put the jacket(never worn), tag and receipt back in the bag that it came in and took it back to the store on Tuesday prepared to do an exchange for the correct jacket and was surprise to find out that this was not an option(at least not for a couple days until the "manager/decision maker was in.Apparently he has to make the call of weather or not an exchange could or would be allowed. I was flabbergasted at this policy at the idea that retailers could be so bold face and show no regard for customers and their hard earned cash. Its not as if i was asking for my money back...the audacity of these people. Well let me say they will NEVER have to worry about me or my money...or any of my co-workers coming to this establishment again or even purchasing a pin or tie clip. Not gonna happen. Shame on you MEYERS. read more
