Ponds and vets…read more The Pine Grove Cemetery was established in the 1890's and is 50 acres of gentle and mostly level ground with fairly modest memorials. It has a few larger crypts and more elaborate gravestones but most tend to be small and simple. The cemetery has a small pond in the middle of the land and lots of very old looking trees. Many veterans, especially from World War 1, are buried here and the grounds are very well maintained. There are roads that wind through all parts of the cemetery and many flowers and special personal items are included with the memorials. A very pleasant cemetery to talk an easy walk through.

Its got a fair amount of history to it as well and it's home to many veterans from both world wars. The world war veteran graves are taken care of by the workers and every national holiday that celebrates their memory will see their graves receive a token of appreciation and respect ranging from a bouquet of flowers or some other symbol. I currently have my aunt, uncle, and grandparents buried there so when I pay the area a visit I see what goes on around there. If you are the type of person like myself that likes to take walks through cemeteries then you will be happy to know that this is the place to do it. It's peaceful and quiet (not all cemeteries are surprisingly!). There is a greenhouse / flower shop right nearby that is an ideal location for a visit if you're interested in buying something.

I wish I could score this awful place lower. My experience with this Funeral Home was by far one…read moreof the worst experiences I have ever had. I worked with a woman named Sharon, she has no clue how to speak to people let alone people grieving over a loved one passing away. Not to mention the fact it was difficult for her to answer any of my questions, she got up while I was speaking and walked out of the room. They were not a place I would trust with my family and certainly not someone that was called on my behalf. They took it upon themselves to take over without any authorization and when I mention that to Sharon she told me to file a claim with the state and it was not her problem. Needless to say I called several other homes in the area and they have had similar complaints about them. I was so grateful to the Funeral Home I went with 20 minutes away. All I can say is run far from this place and don't give yourself extra stress (especially when you're trying to cope with the grief) dealing with these people.
