I've suffered from incredibly bad seasonal allergies for 17 years. Every year I take every prescription available and I go on multiple doses of steroids to get my immune system under control (and I still suffered every May). This year, with COVID, there was an added danger of taking steroids and shutting down my immune system and I thought I was completely out of options. I have never tried acupuncture or any kind of eastern medicine before and I've been a skeptic by whole life. I figured I may as well try every available option though, and with a more open mind, I googled to see if acupuncture could work for allergies and saw it could. I called the owner, Galina, and I was in to see her that week. Before I went, I still went to my regular allergist and got a bottle of prednisone in anticipation of needing it. Before we even began, we went over my diet and lifestyle and I was told various things I should do to prepare for this allergy season. I began the acupuncture, and I also did a treatment called Gua Sha. This time last year, I had been on my third dose of steroids, I took three Allegra per day, and I had a regiment of nasal sprays and eye drops every morning and night. All my windows had to be shut for the month of May and I had to avoid all indoor activities. This year, after being at Acupuncture For All, my windows have been open all season, I can go hiking in the woods, and I haven't taken a single steroid. I can't stop telling friends about how amazing acupuncture has been for me. I have a full bottle of prednisone on my counter that I have no use for. I honestly can't believe I went to doctor after doctor for 17 years and no one could help me and just a couple of trips here and I feel cured. It's been amazing. I normally don't leave reviews but I had such a wonderful experience with acupuncture for all and Galina that I wanted to share my experiences with anyone who is interested to learn more. I have a unspecified auto immune disease, high blood pressure and I was diagnosed with PCOS at a very young age. I have spent years struggling to lose loose weight, restart my period, deal with my fatigue and massive inflammation issues. The worst part of my combination of diseases is that it is largely invisible and after dealing with the medical system from 17 years onwards, I realize that there isn't enough help or the right type of help for anyone with chronic illnesses. I started working with Galina four / five months back and she became almost my care coordinator. As we continued with acupuncture she helped connect me with various resources that have truly changed my life. Through her I found the first ever diet that actually helped my conditions and I just went to my first fertility appointment and I I am about to ovulate for the first time in many many many years naturally. I cannot speak more highly of Galina and the treatments I have received over the last 2 years. She is a true healer - she listens, is resourceful and creative in her approaches and determined to improve her patients' quality of life. I have been coming to Galina since December. My issues range from digestive ones, mood and depression, muscle tightness. I started going to Galina shortly after stopping hormonal birth control to help get my cycles normalized and, hopefully, to get pregnant. Galina has a wealth of knowledge not just about acupuncture but also about herbs, diet, and women's health and was able to really help me understand my body better. I do believe the acupuncture helped ease the side effects of going off hormonal birth control. While seeing Galina regularly I got pregnant, and continued to visit throughout my pregnancy which really helped with my back pain. I just need to take a moment to say how grateful I am I found Galina. I just got Bells Palsy, and soon as half my face began to droop and go numb, I called her. Even though it was nearly closing time, she agreed it was time-sensitive and stayed open late to treat me. It was the kindest a stranger has ever been to me, and today my Bell's palsy is at least 70 percent less noticeable. So I am the "lucky" owner of a body with three autoimmune diseases: Celiac Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Multiple Sclerosis. For the last seven months, I have been super ill with an autoimmune flare-up for Ulcerative Colitis. I was on disability from work for two months, and could barely eat, sleep, or move much from the fatigue of constant GI hell. A friend of mine recommended I try acupuncture as a compliment to the million different medications I am on. Acupuncture for All is in my neighborhood, was reasonably priced, and I thought I'd give it a few sessions for the hell of it. I have had 4 sessions with Galina now, and I can't explain the amount of difference it has made. I started feeling markedly better after the second session, and I genuinely feel like a new human now. I had hope that acupuncture might alleviate some of my symptoms, but I had no idea how big of a difference it actually could make. I can't emphasize enough how absolutely floored I am by how much better I really do feel. Galina is really attentive, spends a lot of time talking about your medical history, and specific concerns in great detail. Every visit is a brand new check-up, as symptoms and life stuff change, and it matters for different acupuncture points. She also recommended some Chinese herbs for me that seemed to help really quickly. But here's what I loved most about her recommendation: At no point did I feel pressured to engage in more services or products. Galina was really responsive to my concerns about money, and never ever pushes or forces any course of treatment or complimentary services. She simply talks to you about recommendations, and leaves it open to you if you want to try them. I feel like I have spent my whole life dealing with pushy doctors who force their opinions on what you "have" to be doing; seeing you as only symptoms and not as a person. Galina not only listens, but encourages you to check in with her about how you're feeling between appointments through text. She uses you as the guide, and tailors each appointment based on how you are doing in the present moment. The space is really relaxing, clean, and peaceful. It's almost like two hours of meditating. I know it sounds like I'm going overboard singing praises, and I swear Galina never solicited me for a review or anything like that. I just am so genuinely grateful to feel so close to back to normal after feeling sick and worthless for so long. I went from nearly immobile to being able to work out for the first time in seven months. It's really insane. I've been seeing Galina for 2 1/2 yrs for various reasons but I ended up seeing her on a weekly basis soon after I stopped taking the pill because I wanted to get pregnant. My body was so out of wack. I was dealing with acne,hair loss, mood swings, irregular periods and issues sleeping.Galina was able to really work with me and help me feel better. she also was able to look at my cycles and determine what type of Chinese herbs to prescribe to help get me pregnant .
