It is a pretty standard aquarium! Not the largest aquarium I've been to, but there's still stuff to be seen for sure. My favorites were the tunnel aquarium that arches overs the pathway and allows you to view fish swimming above your head (allowing me to capture a cute selfie with the ventral side of a ray). The jellyfish tanks were also a personal favorite, as they showcased the lovely jellies existing and thriving.
The aquarium is perfect for children (and me, but I am also basically a child), with eye-catching exhibits and tasteful yet humorous infographics covering the walls. Exhibits start with marine life and there is actually a single central path to follow in order to go through the whole aquarium, so the aquarium's smaller size actually works out under this strategy. You will eventually see everything this aquarium has to offer, so it just becomes a matter of how you want to spend your time in total, and in each specific section.
So, you start with marine life, which is of course the focus of an aquarium, but then you go further and reach freshwater exhibits set in the jungle. Here, you can see both a turtle pond and a tank with a gorgeous crocodile (which was a clear fan favorite). Passing the freshwater section will land you in the exhibit that is reminiscent of the southwestern desert where we see some terrestrial reptiles being represented. After this section, you will have arrived at the gift shop and restrooms. You will have to go through the whole aquarium if you want to view the gift store, but I guess this is a type of (capitalist) experience that allows you to feel complete and satisfied, as opposed to having to pick between and prioritize exhibits to properly use your time. read more
