This program has not only good reputation, but also amazing instructors. All the instructors were so great. They have so much experience teaching in this field and was able to share many teaching skills and theories. One of my favorite parts was that I had a chance to teach in an actual class. I had to observe a class, learn how to teach from a mentor, and also got to know students and help them to learn English. It was a fabulous experience and it helped me a lot to find a job in Korea, where I used all the stuff I have learned in my classes. I still get update emails about job openings from all over the world from ALI and SDSU. How nice !! Wish I can write everything I have done. I can just say it's the most amazing program ever.

I love San Diego weather and life because it was very relaxed. American Language Institute is in San Diego State University campus. So it's a good chance to improve your English because you can meet a lot of university students and native speakers. Also, ALI gave their students a lot of benefits, like city tours, baseball games, zoos, etc. You can really enjoy your time in San Diego. Also, we can use the gym on campus. Sign up and it's free for ALI students. I like this language school because i met a lot of international students, very nice and friendly teachers. I'm so happy I can be a part of ALI, but in the other hand, I think the class was a little bit early, everyday started at 8:00 am. So sometimes it's difficult to wake up. If it's possible to change at 9:00 am it's better for students. And the class finish at 1:00 pm, so we can have a lot of time to hang out with friends and enjoy beautiful beaches in San Diego. I would definitely recommend this language school to everyone who wants to study abroad and improve their English. Also, ALI has a lot of different programs you can choose, not only learn how to speak English, but also can get some special certificate about business. So I think it's very useful for me in the future. Thanks ALI gave us a really nice and good study environment. I appreciate it.

I've always been fascinated with public speaking, but darn scared of people... and speaking... which creates a difficult situation. I finally pushed myself to attend a Toastmasters meeting. And it was pretty cool. And then I went out and tried some other clubs. And... they were pretty cool too. And in April 2014 I went out to Career Builders Toastmasters. And it BLEW MY MIND. --- 3 things: Timely. Positive. Diverse. What stands out to me about Career Builders is its respect for time. I've been to many groups who don't take time into consideration - don't start on time, end on time, etc. I think timeliness shows a lot about a club's professionalism and the kind of environment they create for their members. Though it is a timely group, Career Builders does not suffer from any rigidity and remains energetic, positive and relationship-oriented. Many guests are impressed by the attitude of the members there. Everyone wants to be there?! The energy that is present at every meeting is really not something you see often anywhere else. As an ethic-minority, I am also sensitive to a group's diversity. I've seen that Career Builders creates a safe place for people of all kinds to practice their skills, gain confidence, and receive warm support. --- I've attended meetings and been a member of other Toastmasters clubs, and I can say with certainty that Career Builders performs among the top 5% in San Diego. I love this group. I love love love this group. Most weeks, I still feel like Career Builders is too good to be true. And in the end, you have to see it to believe it.

If you know anything about…read moremilitary life, you know the constant uprooting is a challenge--our children have experienced more school changes than we ever wanted, not by choice but by necessity. At this duty station, things were especially tough; we had to go through three different schools in our first year here. That all changed when my husband found this diamond in the rough. Before CCPAA, our kids attended a private school that felt cold, cliquish, and unwelcoming. Finding CCPAA was like finding a second family. From day one, we were welcomed warmly, and it has made all the difference. My children have been at CCPAA for a year and a half now, and they've loved every single moment. The teachers are passionate and truly engaged with the students, and the administration is always on top of everything. They create an environment that is not only academically enriching but also incredibly nurturing. What really stands out to us is the vibrant creative offerings--dance, music, jazz band, art, drama, and more. For our family, creativity is just as important as academics, and CCPAA allows our children to explore both. They're thriving, not just as students, but as artists, thinkers, and young individuals with diverse passions. The school's inclusive, diverse environment and sense of community have given our family stability, warmth, and a place to belong in the midst of the frequent changes that come with military life. We couldn't be more grateful for this incredible school.
