This is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a PMP certification. joe Dramassi is a great instructor, very knowledgeable, and cares about the subject matter, and it shows during his teaching of the course. He gave excellent tips for passing the course and it set me up for success, and I was able to pass the exam on the first attempt, with "above target" in all 3 of the test knowledge areas. Joe is a great instructor and the course is worthwhile. After course completion, I recommend everyone utilize PMA's online practice tests and do as many as they can before they take the actual exam. The questions are hard but don't get discouraged. Take the practice tests and review any areas of weakness. My only recommendation is for PMA to find a way to go through more practice questions during the 4-day course. We went through questions but going through the questions with the instructor to understand why you got a question wrong is invaluable. read more

I attended a virtual PMP Bootcamp course in November 2021 with John Dokos and was able to pass my PMP in Feb. 2022 with an above target on all segments. With John's guidance and his use of real-world experiences, I was able to take away what I needed to study and ultimately pass my exam. I couldn't be more satisfied with the PMP Exam Prep course I took virtually in April 2023 with instructor, John Dokos. John clearly knows his stuff, not just in terms of project management, but in terms of what you need to know in order to successfully pass the exam. Joe Drammissi was my instructor a month ago at PMA boot camp, and I passed my PMP exam on the first try last week. Prior to the course, my scores were 10-15% lower attempting to use self study and a web based training platform. Taking the 4 days to sit with Joe in a focused setting really made a difference. His delivery and approach were both insightful and fun. Joe brought real world experiences spanning several different industries and taught the latest coursework in accordance with the PMBOK guide, including the emerging focus areas in project management like the application of Agile and applying Emotional Intelligence. Couldn't have been happier with the result, and I'm now considering other courses like the green belt certification as I have unfinished business there from a previous life where attaining that would close another loose end in my career. Having a PMP is now the norm and the standard in project management. I recommend taking this course with Joe and staying current as the body of knowledge and difficulty of the exam continues to increase with time-- making now the best time to go get certified. I attended a March 2020 virtual class with John Dokos. The class was terrific and John was very engaging. I especially appreciated that he had some great real world examples to share when presenting some of the course material. Well, I had great intentions to take the PMP shortly after the course but unfortunately different circumstances arose which led me to postponing the exam until August of this year. These last few months I diligently studied the material I had received from the Project Management Academy as well as taking numerous practice PMP tests. I ended up passing the PMP last week Above Target in all Domains! I would highly recommend the PMA and John but my only additional comment would be to take the PMP much sooner than I did while the material is much more fresh in your mind. All the best! read more

I attended the October 2020 virtual PMA boot camp with John Dokos, and the course was extremely beneficial and helped me pass the PMP exam only 1.5 weeks later! The course materials helped narrow down the material to the most important aspects, and John was a fabulous instructor. I detest memorization, and John was able to explain the concepts and terminology in a way that helped me learn the material without spending excessive time memorizing things. I took the PMP Exam Prep course Feb 21-28 in San Diego. Joe Drammissi was an excellent instructor. In fact, I was happy to hear that he created the EnlightenedPM website which was a source for a lot of content I used while earning my college degree. This was the second time I took the class, however the first one was with a different teacher and I did not pass my exam. I thought John was a fantastic instructor with a wealth of project management experience in private industry. This is the best workshop/bootcamp available to prepare for the PMP exam. I took the workshop from 19-22 January 2015. Mr. Joe Drammissi was the instructor. I found his instruction and materials to be outstanding. Unfortunately, my work and life did not allow me to take my exam as planned soon after the workshop and I rescheduled to take the exam about four to five months after the workshop. Even though I rescheduled my exam to May, I prepared myself for the test by reviewing the PMA workshop materials + PMBOK as well as taking three full-length practice exams available on the PMA portal. I took the January PMP Bootcamp in San Diego with Joe Drammissi instructing. Joe Drammissi is one of the best instructors I have ever experienced. His knowledge of the material is amazing (he quotes pages numbers from the PMBOK), and he will definitely help you pass your PMP. I tried to read the PMBOK, but the Phone Book is a more-interesting read. Luckily, the PMA Guidebook and copious supplementary materials are on-point. As such, I only used the glossary section of the PMBOK. PMA is fortunate to have such a knowledgeable guy who can also teach; these two traits are not always found in the same person. I have experienced plenty of highly knowledgeable "instructors" who couldn't teach a fish how to swim. The schedule says the course runs for 10 hours a day, but with Joe running the course, the days moved quite quickly. I will definitely take future courses from PMA and Joe Drammissi. read more

I was able to re-listen to the course modules with on-demand videos several times, which was also a nice feature. PMA's PMP Bootcamp is worth every penny and every moment you'll spend. I attended Nov 13-16, 2017 course, by Joe Drammassi in San Diego. I tested and passed the test 5 days later. Joe addressed everything I encountered on the test asked in one way or another. The course is well structured and concepts easy to follow. Save yourself the time and pain in trying to do it all on your own... the "PMI way" is not as intuitive as one would believe, so PMA's insight is invaluable. I took the bootcamp with Joe the week of September 19th in Old Town. The location was very convenient, just off I-5, and had free parking. They don't serve lunch at the hotel, but they do have a microwave, so either bring your own food or be prepared to walk a couple of blocks into Old Town. The class prepared me with all the information I needed, including how to write up my PM experience in order to get that accepted by PMI. PMA recommended studying for 2-3 weeks and then sitting for the exam. I studied the class materials and PMBOK for 3 full weeks and took the exam and passed. This class prepares you for all you need to know to pass and get your PMP, and the online sample questions and tests are very helpful. read more

We covered a massive amount of information in four days and Joe did a great job at keeping the pace going while injecting tons of tips on prepping for the exam as well as connections to real world scenarios. The web portal and notebook that PMA provided with the class was excellent and I know the combination is a big part of why I passed the exam in January. Make no mistake, you must invest a lot of time on your own after boot camp to study the material but that said there was nothing on the exam that I was surprised about. I took the PMP Bootcamp with Joe Drammissi on April 18th-21st in Old Town San Diego. I highly recommend it! I had been dreading preparing for the exam but the course and study materials made it as painless as possible. The course was three days of lecture and then the 4th day consisted of a full length practice exam and review. The study materials alone are worth the price of admission. I found the online videos that are provided to PMA students extremely helpful. They allowed me review all of the PMP topics in detail. Watching them was much faster than reading the entire PMBOK. Also provided are several study cheat sheets that put the concepts in context, and list the necessary formulas and definitions. read more
