I purchased tickets for I thought a children's play but it happened to be a local dance school recital. The website did not have a good description. Parking is free on the weekends in the garage across the street.

It's definitely (or used to be) an Alachua County public schools field trip staple! While it's a place of nostalgia and great memories, it's also a favorite venue. Upon returning for a graduation, it all came rushing back. Seating is comfy, it's quiet spacious, and there's not a bad view in the building. Great theatre in good ol' Gainesville!

They also have some showings on Thursdays from time to time. Friday the showing is at 8pm, Sat 6pm, and Mon 8pm. A couple years ago the theater had a successful crowd funding effort for a digital projector. The screen in the theater is nice, but the audio is a little muffled. It would be nice if they kickstarted an audio upgrade. Since the theater is a single screen you'll have to make due with a limited selection that tends to be on the family friendly side. They do cycle movies fairly quickly to make up for being a single screen theater. The theater itself is well kept and a pleasure to visit. You can tell that the people running the place care about their business. The concessions are well priced and steeply cheaper than the Regal theaters in this area of Florida. Even if you're not from the area it's worth a visit to experience a well run family operated theater.

I decided to mix it up and go to high springs from Gainesville to check this place out. This place…read morehas a lot of history and local feel so the rating is mostly based on what they are trying to do. Its a one theater set up and they dont have a lot of show times. Its cash only but super cheap. $5 for a ticket and you can popcorn and a pop for $6 (no refills). Thr quality of the picture is perfectally fine and they dont make it really loud like other places. A good amount of thr chairs are beat up but you have a lot of leg room. The main kicker is the AC isnt great so its pretty warm inside. To start off the movie the owner comes out and gibes you a financial update on the theater and addresses the cell phone issues which has a real small town feel to it. If you are looking to mix up the normal routinr i recommend making the trip for a cheap date night and then swinging by great outdoors for a drink or dinner.

How it worked this year was admission was free and each food ticket was $2. Some places would require more than one ticked while other places a ticket would get you a lot. There were a lot of different options from smoothies and desserts to savory options like tacos, sandwiches and even ribs. There were also non-food booths doing giveaways and handing out coupons. Would definitely go again next year.

The food fest was held at Celebration Pointe which was an excellent location for it, and the weather was perfect. This was a great way for me and my buddies to get our weekend started early. We arrived at 4:50 p.m. to secure a good parking space, and we had a great time meandering around to the different canopy stations. The DJ was fantastic and the live music was very good. I bought $10 worth of tickets which gave me 5 tickets. I spent one ticket on all the food offerings I had. I had a delicious brisket slider from 4 Rivers two separate times, a box of two Krispy Kreme donuts (my favorite donuts), a Ahi Tuna Sashimi mini plate from Bone Fish that tasted great, and a very fine comfort food mini plate from Texas Road House complete with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and pot roast with gravy. One of the best CM's in the world, Matt L., treated me to delicious savory meatball and pasta mini plate from Pomodoro's halfway through the experience. I was completely full by the time we left the food fest to go to see our 7PM blockbuster movie. We enjoyed ourselves; it was a nice 4.5 star event. We pre-registered online and still had to stand in line to receive tickets. Moments later the friendly Texas Roadhouse manager directed us to another line that made more sense having pre-ordered our tickets. The cashiers at ticket distribution tables we presented to initially should have given us the correct information when they saw us with the appropriate barcodes and receipts.

I almost forgot to mention the show with the scary dinosaurs in it. It was unexpected and funny.

This ballpark hosts the Florida Gators baseball team, and it opened about 2 years ago. This ballpark has an amazing 360 design view from the 3rd level which also serves as the floor for the press box and club seating. However on the 2nd level/concourse, that's where the main seating area is. There's more than enough seating and also there's berm seating for spectators who have the thrill to catch an out ball or even a homer! If you can get a chance to walk around, you'll be able to see the history of Gator baseball and the team's accolades. The concession stand has great food options ranging from the classic ballpark eats like hotdogs, peanuts, and popcorn to chicken caesar salad wraps, fried key lime cheesecake with a raspberry sauce, and a watermelon cooler. Also, the bathrooms are very clean which are amazing at a sporting event. My only issue is the parking, parking can be very tough especially if there's a tough competitor for the week/weekend, so I advise to get there early. I have been to several games this season, and I definitely enjoy the atmosphere and hanging out with the Gator fans.
