They do this all while knowing that there is little to no chance that families will get their children into their program. I added my child to their waitlist when he was 1.5 years old and I realize now he will not get in before he enters kindergarten next year. Thank goodness the BC government banned waitlist fees so that money hungry companies like CEFA can no longer make money this way. They really should be required to give back money to families who paid this fee when they do not get in within a suitable timeframe.
