Good job cleaning up my car after a long New England winter! Each car wash operates differently. This one has a prewash option - a guy would use a hose and a mop to do a quick wash on the hard-to-reach spot by the machine, like the area around the rear license plate. Then you would go through the conveyor for the usual cleaning. Then a guy would towel-dry the wet spots missed by the touchless dryer at the end. Overall, I am pretty happy with the results. Since we are selling one of our cars in March, which has not been washed since last August, I wanted to get its exterior as clean as possible - a challenge in the winter. Well, at least 1/2 of my truck looked clean. Not good guys. Paid for "the works" but attendant only prewashed left side of car (no front, rear or right), truck was in and out of too-short tunnel WAY too quickly to do any good, and towel-off maybe reached a third of truck, and that third was smudgy. Didn't seem like whole operation was even trying. read more

Went through this wash in the winter - Came out the other side and my car was still smeared with road salt. Asked the staff what happened and they were very nice but told me in the winter when the wash is crowded the cars don't get cleaned well. They offered to let me go through again but warned that I would have the same result. That was several years ago and I've never been back. I suspect they just reuse the dirty water. read more

Do NOT bring your car to this car wash!!! I cannot express this strongly enough. They used to be the best in the area. What happened!?!?? I just had my car washed. It was worse than when I went in!! This is not an exaggeration. I had to hand wash my car with wet towels at home. It was a mess. Instead of rinsing my car it seemed to spray a white mess on it with a 'bit' of rinsing at the very end. Go a bit further to Primrose in Westford. You will be thankful you did. read more

I thought, how could every car wash nearby have such low ratings? Surely everyone who had a good experience just didn't think to leave a review? Well this one may just be bad. I got the special, which was only $18. Everything seemed fine, the people were nice. First disappointment - the towel dry feature does me absolutely no good if you're using towels soaking in dirty water. My side mirror and car are now covered in dirty water spots. Second one - I got out of my car once I was home and discovered a new scrape over my driver side front tire. I can't say with certainty that it happened at the car wash, but I'm a generally anxious human being and think I would have noticed it before since I have a lease that I worry about ruining. Overpriced, a tad sloppy, detailing doesn't get the details, just the surface, but it's in Acton and walking distance from my dentist and Trader Joes, so I use it. I went to this place today and paid for the ultimate wash for $21.00. When he came back with my change he advised me that he may not get all of the caterpillar crop off my car. I was surprised by that comment. I thought the birds hit my car in 3 or so places but caterpillars? I'll just say I wouldn't want to run into a caterpillar that can crap like that! Once I came out of the car wash I noticed pollen strips right under my roof racks. And yes some of the teradactal caterpillar crap still on the sides of the car. OK I was warned about caterpillar crap but when I mentioned that the was a thick layer of pollen under the roof racks. Well the excuses started rolling. Of course it was probably caterpillar crap so tough sh*t. He never came over to see the car. I told him it's clearly a layer of pollen. His response, as he's holding a brush that would have easily worked, was "ya there's been a lot of pollen lately". It was one of those did he really say that? moments. Then he told me that he couldn't get rid of that. I'll never go back there again, and I take pride in my car so he's lost some very regular business. STAY AWAY! I wish I had read the other reviews before I went here. I asked for a complete detail, was quoted 185, even though It usually costs 215 by the owner. I used to pay 150, but it was convenient. I went to get the car that afternoon and the wax was streaked with swirlmarks, the rims were still dirty, the glass was spotted, and they armoralled the brake and gas pedals, so my foot kept slipping off. Also, the guy who quoted me was gone, and the new kid charged me 215, and told me the price had gone up. read more

I went through this car wash yesterday. I got the $18 package. My wheels were not clean or shiny -The person spraying before you go into the car wash only sprayed my front left wheel with cleaner--- My truck wheel bays were not clean-- my mirrors were not folded in before I went through and it dislodged my left blinker light that sits in the mirror casing. I am not sure that my truck was even rinsed, it seemed like the machine just sprayed sealer on it. The people hand drying spent less than 30 seconds and didn't wipe my whole windshield. My truck was not very dirty to begin with so I feel this was a big waste of time and money. read more

To start, the wash wasn't worth the money. Bugs still on bumper and window. I was really pissed to see it also scratched both my left wheels. When I went back to show them they ignored me for 20 min. Update: After the owner offered to give me credit and did nothing. I found out that a few weeks later they covered the left bumpers to prevent future scratches. Didn't help me though. read more

My car goes in dirty, and comes out a little less dirty. This place does not do a very good job compared to other carwashes, and charges more. They towel your car off at the end, but given that there's still dirt on the car, they're just scratching up your paint job. Shame, it's a convenient location for me but I avoid it unless I'm really desperate. read more

After visiting this place may I say this was the worst experience ever. My first impression was awful! The guy who sells you the packages was smoking and was blowing those toxic fumes in my face and in my car. He was hitting my car with this brush he uses to remove excess dirt before it goes into the actual car wash. The rest of the staff was friendly but probably will never go back! read more

Not a great wash, especially for the price. My windshield didn't even get cleaned, which means that the guy who towel dried my car (back to front ) definitely was scrubbing the grime that didn't come off into the paint. No better than a $5 wash at the gas station, but 3x the price. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I took my 4Runner there to check it out, got the $15 Deluxe package (which includes undercarriage; this being winter it won't stay clean long anyway) and I forgot to lower my antenna (and the attendant didn't remind me), which got bent. I did straighten it out, and it seems as good as new, and they had a very good attitude about it, i.e. were sympathetic (but didn't offer to pay for the damage, fine, my own fault mostly) and gave me a credit for a Supreme (top of the line) wash. Great! About a week later I decided to use the credit, and took my BMW, which was pretty dirty for such a nice car. Well, they didn't do a very good job. For one thing, the brushes didn't work for very long at all, just a minute or so, two at the most, altogether (their operations were noticeably few and short), so it's no wonder I guess that the car still looked dusty and dingy, even wet, there were still dirty water drips coming out of everywhere they could come out of, and the wheels (which get dirty from brake dust), the cleaning of which is included in that package, look like they just took a quick stab at them (it seemed like just 5-10 seconds each), dirt moved around a bit but mostly still there! This BMW is almost brand new, and the brake dust relatively fresh (they were spotless last summer), in fact it almost wipes off with a finger, yet they did a poor job of it (they actually look worse now than before). Those dirty details are what we pay $23 for a "Supreme" car wash to fix, and this place implies that it will (a decent job is assumed, in any case, especially for the most expensive wash they offer), but any 10 yo could have done a better job. I was doing a MUCH better job myself last summer, with a bucket of hot water, car wash detergent, a sponge and a hose, in just 10 minutes. The dirt came off easily! I thought I had found my regular car wash, but maybe not. read more

I've visited this car wash a few times since moving to the area and by far it's the best car wash I've ever been to! The staff is friendly especially the young black gentlemen in the back that dry's off the cars. He really brightened my day when he Thanked me for coming to Acton Car Wash and for my business.
