Very good first impression. I've seen only a couple of chiropractors in my life but from my experience this is the nicest chiropractor office by far. It's very clean, comfortable and smells nice. The front desk staff were friendly and Dr. Mike was a pleasure to deal with. My first appointment here involved a consultation, adjustment, deep tissue laser therapy and a 15 minute hydro message. Looking forward to my next visit to review my x-rays. If you're looking for a great Chiropractor experience and maybe interested in laser therapy, I recommend this place. I know many are skeptical and hesitant about chiropractic care and it's mostly due to previous bad or negative experiences. I can tell you from all of my experiences (good and bad) over the last 20 years of my life Dr. Hanopole's office is top notch! Earlier last year I suffered from a pretty significant Achilles tendon/foot injury. Diagnosed as a severe case of Achilles adhesions. After months of continuing to train with the injury (and make it ultimately worse) I also developed a severe case of plantar fasciitis as well. A podiatrist, of course, gave me a surgery option because that was the "best medicine" but I chose to seek out alternative methods instead of jumping in front of a knife. I went to various chiropractors and physical therapists and tried all different types of physical and movement based therapies to avoid surgery. From ART (Active Release Technique) Graston, acupuncture, etc. I feel like I've tried it all. The therapies did help to an extent to improve my injury to about 70% but none of them healed me or got me back to the place where I was before. Thankfully I joined a new CrossFit gym where many of the members came to Active Life Chiropractic and introduced me to Priscilla the Laser Tech. I told her about my injury and she told me to come in for a consult. What did I have to lose? I met Dr. H who told me about the deep muscle laser therapy and was very confidant that I wouldn't be his first unsuccessful patient. Fast forward 4-5 months later and I'm back to my regular workout schedule and have even started running again. It took about 8-10 laser treatments on my "bad" foot/leg and about 2 treatments on my opposite foot. The Deep tissue laser therapy has seriously been a life saver and I wish I would have known about it sooner. I could have saved myself so much time, pain and ultimately money. This therapy is great for anyone with recurring muscle and joint injuries or issues with scaring in muscles and tendons. I have continued to receive follow-up treatments to ensure that the issue doesn't recur and the adhesion I had before is now barely visible and I can finally walk normally again! Their office is centrally located in Plantation off University Drive and Sunrise Boulevard. The actual office itself it so calm and relaxing and all of their staff is beyond amazing and friendly as well. They do get very busy, for obvious reasons so I highly recommend making an appointment in advance. Today I will talk about my husband experience at this magical place. But first things first. He was diagnosed with protrusions in between his L3, L4, and L5. Those discs in his spine are almost herniated and the pain he has been feeling is far from fun! The great problem is that the protrusion in the discs cause a huge inflammation in his sciatica nerve, and unfortunately this is not the worst, the pain was so bad that his periformis muscle (located deep in the butt) got overwhelmed so his posture were getting all deformed. At first I advise him to visit our family doctor, and in the first attempt to make the pain go away was through pain killers. Basically two months ago when the pain reached the worst ever, he started taking medication. The pain was not getting any better, only aggravating ever time the medication lost it effect. The doctor than advise him to go to a specialist, so, after a week in pain and into strong painkillers, he went to the orthopedist. There they took an X-ray and we had already made MRI, the doctor there said that he couldn't do anything but the only solution would be my husband take a steroid spinal injection (epidural). Immediately he called a colleague which he told us to be the best and most experienced he knew. Well, when someone you love is feeling pain you and the person agree to do anything... we went to the clinic, another specialist with bunch of good reviews... ok, we wait for hours until finally they call him in. I got to tell you, this method is no fun, my husband got out of there worst than he arrived. The procedure were extremely painful and the pain aggravated even more, he was after that day in bed for a week, taking more painkillers because of the procedure followed for anti-inflammatory. He was not able to work for 15 days, not even walk. When we went back for the return, they charged us again only to hear that he would might need one more shot! As we decided that he didn't want to take another, we felt ridiculously misunderstood. They only offer injections but not even a slightly information about his injure, what is the best treatment.. nothing but given shots... It was in this setting that my husband found an add online from active life. The laser treatment that could help him feel less pain. It has been a month, and he has improved a lot, from that 100%pain state, he is now getting better. Since the begging of the laser treatment, after 3 sessions he was able to start having pilates sessions with physical therapy, (which I consider the treatment best friend), the second week with the treatment he was able to work with less pain, and than the third he was driving normally again. Today is his last session in our pack, but is not the end line for him. We totally recognize that his injury is more than just a sprain. So in order to heal 100% he will need more than the average number of sessions. However, he is willing to do it, you know why? Because here in this place we got to know people that are seriously engaged in healing people, the staff here are made of real careful people. The environment is relaxing and even I have decided to get a fixing myself. Dr. Robert and Dr. Michel are really taking special care of Lincoln,( my husband) and me. I met many other people while waiting him at the clinic, and every case we see that people are happy and coming back because everyone here care about their injuries. I am glad we were blessed with their care. I only have to thanks the whole team and the doctors, and continue with his treatment until he is 100%. Dr. Hanapole is great. Came in with 9 months of sever plantar fasciitis and numbness on the top of my foot. Having PT and PRP and cortisone injections with very little results. He started treatments right away and diagnosed that the numbness was coming from a pinched nerve in the hip area.( who would have thought!) I have been receiving laser treatments for both and in 5 weeks I'm at 80% healed. Unbelievable results!
