I've had an issue with my achilles for some time now and Dr. Kuzel and his staff have been amazing in my recovery. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating that it's actually a pleasure to come in for follow up appointments. He's done a wonderful job in hiring people who have the perfect mix of professionalism, bedside manner and people skills. I had an emergency that happened on a day when they were in surgery most of the day. Rather then send me away or reschedule me, they stayed until almost 7pm to take care of me. I can't tell you how far that goes with me. You just don't see that anymore. And to top it off, they were all pleasant and genuinely concerned with my issue. Hopefully I'll never have to go back once my issue is resolved but if I or anyone I know needs their services, theyll be the ones I turn to.

I'm actually amazed at the fact that I'm the first "Yelper" to offer a review of Dr. Kuzel's…read moreservices, but--as the five stars attest--more than happy to testify as to the brilliance of his practice. The short end of the backstory: I'm thirty-five years old and have suffered from various knee and ankle ailments for the better part of my adult years. I was advised to take up a cardio regimen to battle migraines last year by my GP, and decided that I'd make a go at doing some fun-running as a means to keep my motivation up: things started off well, but--as always--hit the wall within a year and a handful of 5K events, as my Achilles began to burn with pain every time I took a step. No amount of rest or downtime seemed to do anything to improve the injury, so I opted to hop-step down the street to Dr. Kuzel's practice, as it's within the neighborhood. Now, the middle bit: I've had diagnoses on my feet before, and they usually come down to a poorly-healed broken bone from my teenage years and genetically lame ankles. I've worn orthotics since 2002, and--even with that--have just managed to basically "break even" in terms of my overall movement and footprint. I told Dr. Kuzel all of this during our first meeting, and he sat there as rapt as if I were recounting my adventures in the China Sea, or something: not a fakey "nod and hmm"-type response, but real, serious listening. Shortly thereafter, the man went right to work. He ran a sonogram (!) of each foot, broke down the inflammation that he was seeing, and noted--just by touch and sight--that my feet bend way too far inward whenever I take a step. This was all new information to me, as previous podiatrists had focused on the old damage and ankle area, rather than the movement of the foot itself: with that in mind, Dr. Kuzel suggested that I get a new pair of orthotics that would encourage a "lockstep" motion, and even offered to have new casts made of my old, busted-up pair for more casual purposes (and for free, I might add). Now, a month and a half later, I'm pulling between fifteen and seventeen miles a week, and doing so without ANY pain. I'd dust off the chestnut about reclaiming my teenage stride, but facts maintain that I probably never ran THAT far (At least intentionally) as a kid, and certainly not in any time in the last fifteen years. I've got three 5Ks lined up for August and feel like I might actually push for a 10K or two before the weather drops in October. I was just hoping to regain a basic half-speed jog with Dr. Kuzel's help, but he's managed to basically put a new set of tires on me. The man knows his feet, and I mean that in the most gracious and respectful way possible. Five stars, easy.

My husband had surgery at the gateway surgery center, it was very unprofessional and I was not…read moreallowed to go back with him, or sit with him before surgery. He said when he got back there no one greated him and Dr. Boggs was chatting it up with the staff, came over and made a mark on his foot and left. My husband's pain tolerance is difficult as he's been on pain medication for ongoing issues, and was prescribed the lowest dose of medication possible. We addressed this with the anestesiologist, and the nurse at the surgery center who completely agreed that the medication would not work for pain and to speak with Dr. Boggs staff about this. He spoke with Nickki, who was extremely rude, unsimpathetic, and he told her the medication was not working, she said to double up the dose, ice it and see if that works. She made him feel like he's a drug seeker, She didn't care, and on the sheet of paper they gave us it said to call the doctor directly if your medication doesnt work. Thats what he did!!!! I called back and advised that hes in excrusiating pain and ice, and elevating it and the medication is not working, and he's been doubling up on his dose, she said well who told you to do double the dose, really you just told my husband to do that. So long story short they are not going to do anything, and I said well this is a waste of time, and I guess hes just going to suffer and be in pain and ended the call. She called back, spoke to my husband and said I thought we were on the same page? Really???!!! No not at all, your not helping. You make him feel like a criminal, and drug seeker and doctors are clearly scared to prescribe pain medication, but it's for a surgery. We are very unpleased with WWMG, and Dr. Boggs staff, and if we couldd go else where mid treatment we would. It's hard enough to see my husband in misery, and awful pain, and then to see him hurt by making him feel like he's a criminal and drug seeker. We will never do business with Dr. Boggs, or WWMG again. Very dissappointing that you leave your patients in agony! I've called my insurance company to make them aware of the complaint as well, and the BBB. Beware, if your having surgery and have a pain contract, you will be left in misery and be made to feel like a drug seeker and criminal.

I had seen Dr. BOGGS online and wanted to see him but he wasn't seeing new patients (with my insurance) either. I ended up going to my shoulder surgeon begging for her to try something or at least give me direction after reading my xrays and MRI's. She gave me an injection in my foot and referred me to Dr. Boggs. I was able to get in because he was part of my existing surgeons. His staff has been great, on the phone setting up appointments, checking me in, the ladies that work in the back with him (T and Nyckki---she's the super rock star!!!), from check ups to xrays they are the best. Super efficient, helpful, and personable. Dr. Boggs did a few injections to determine his plan of action, and we eventually agreed on surgery. He and his staff were able to schedule me ASAP, and I had foot surgery in May. They have been great getting all my appointments scheduled and keeping me on track for recovery. I appreciate Dr. Boggs's honesty, and realistic expectations, goals, etc. He definitely knows what he's doing and is quick to put me at ease. His surgical skills are outstanding and without question was the most recommended. I had no difficulty at all post op. My surgery was done at Proliance Surgical Center and their staff are the best (not surprised) and Dr. Christal's support staff at the Proliance Orthopedic Center in Edmonds were responsive, friendly and very efficient (again, not surprised). Another very important issue is the thoroughness with which Dr. Christal prepares his patients for surgery. He builds into the process the conscientious attention to detail and in particular his instructions regarding limiting the chance of infection by starting "decolonization" five days before surgery and setting PT goals early were appreciated. His pain management is stellar and I recovered with lightening speed. [My physical therapy was handled by Evergreen Home Health, so see also their yelp review.] I would recommend Dr. Christal to anyone seeking knee surgery. He is by far the best surgeon I've ever had... and he's also a genuinely nice guy who obviously cares about the welfare of his patients. (Feel free to contact me through Yelp)

The PA-C seen referred me to Edmonds Orthopedic Center (affiliated with Proliance Surgeons), located also at the Swedish Edmonds medical campus. My initial evaluation was with Michael Lee, MD on 2/23/26 where it was determined a MRI was needed to make a definitive diagnosis. This was completed at an affiliate site, North Puget Sound MRI in Mountlake Terrace on 3/6/26. My MRI results and next steps were addressed again with another appointment with Dr. Lee on 3/12/26. The MRI brought to light my current situation and potential future issues to be made aware of. I also received a cortisone steroid shot to help reduce discomfort and inflammation at this visit. My recovery is still ongoing, just thankful no physical therapy and/or surgical intervention are needed at this time. Yes, one has to deal with the wait (blame the insurance and medical care system in the US). Overall, I have been pleased with the professional care provided without the hassles of having to see similar organizations in downtown Seattle. It is much more accessible as a Shoreline resident to be seen at northend sites in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. My interactions via phone, online, and onsite have been favorable. Pro tips: Understand that time is needed to have referrals reviewed and approved by one's insurance coverage, especially if there were any policy changes. This does affect scheduling and copays. Exercise your patience, do your due diligence to follow up, ask questions and for clarity to advocate for the best outcome for your care. Give yourself extra time to locate parking, whether on the adjacent street, main parking lot, or parking garage whether you are dropped off or driving yourself. It does get congested and not fun with limited mobility and inclement weather. The common areas like lobby, elevators, and waiting areas are busy so be proactive to wear a mask and/or use hand sanitizer. Complete any online check-in requests prior to your actual onsite appointment. This will streamline your check-in process. Copays can be paid ahead or at the check-in counter. Good luck and hope you have as good an outcome like what I experienced!

I would give Dr Joy 5 stars alone, but unfortunately the professionalism (or lack thereof) of Renee…read more& Dr Copple(?) is causing me to give a very low rating. In short this practice terminated care with me because I wanted to explore what I perceived to be an overcharge for their services. (Btw I am very adept at finances & insurance claims / billing to begin with, so I figured we could have an "adult" conversation if I could talk to Dr Copple because I was told he does the insurance billing. For example: "I see I was charged X amt on X date & that amt happens to be the amt I was over charged - can you help me understand why there is a discrepancy?"). (I am adding Dr Copple with a question mark because I actually never got to speak with him about my concerns, as Renee was seemingly being used as the middle person). My concern was that I had been over charged (not just over billed) by approx $25 and because I rarely visit their office I wanted to try to talk about the billing via phone. I left a msg about this issue about 2 months ago but never heard from anyone. So a few days ago I called their office & spoke with Renee who immediately became escalated & rattled by my mention of a question about my charges from their clinic. I tried to let her know multiple times this would be a complicated thing to sort out via phone with her & requested to leave a message for Copple, (because I was told he does the insurance billing & this was an insurance billing issue). Eventually, after repeated calm requests of my own, she heard me & said she would take a message. Only a short time later Renee called me back, letting me know that Dr Copple would not be calling me but that she was told to send me the amount I believe I was overcharged & they would be immediately "terminating my care." I was dumbfounded to say the least. I expressed confusion & she said it was because they were having more and more insurance disputes. (This sounds more like an insurance/provider problem than a patient/provider problem in my opinion, but OK). I tried to explain to her that it could be something easy to figure out if Copple would talk to me, but she said "didn't want to argue." I hadn't felt as though it was an argument to begin with but could tell she was completely uncomfortable talking about money or asking Dr Copple again to call me about the billing, even though I would assume that is part of her job? Anyways, this was a completely unprofessional reaction to my request to sort out the billing and I would have gladly allowed the charge to stand, if someone was able to explain to me how it wasn't an overcharge.

In long 7 months ago, my lovely bride suffered a serious stroke and has lots of atrophy and inflammation in her affected arm and leg, because they don't move as much as they did before the incident. Month before last, we wanted to re-establish her with massage care, and left ESR a message. Waited a week. No response. Tried again. No response. Tried the online form to book an appointment. Still no response. Left one more VM while I started looking for somewhere else we could take her. A week later, they finally called back. 4th time's the charm, right? They sounded organized enough on the phone that I was ready to give them one last shot. They couldn't quite fully explain the difference between their specialists, but they got close enough that I just picked one. Still have to wait yet another week to get seen, and now we're well over a month into this process. They did a lot of intake work over the phone with me, and said it'd be nice (didn't sound required) if I could bring a paper copy of one form with me. Totally my fault--I couldn't find it. Certainly was my issue. But we couldn't be seen. At this point, even if the care in back is solid, there's such a long-standing pattern of obstacles, sloppiness, and indifference that it wouldn't have seemed wise to proceed, even if they let us.
