As far as Edward Johns as a company, they are consistently listed high for investor satisfaction and recently were 6th on Fortune's best places to work, so they must be doing something right. You never see them in the news for the wrong reasons. The meetings are never rushed and Marsha, the office manager, is well on the ball by confirming appointments a couple of days in advance, making sure paperwork is ready to sign, and promptly sending out documents that need my attention. Six months no access to my online statements 2. The entire staff goes home at 6.00 PM 3. No credit card staff on weekend, if your card is blocked by chance 4. Extremely poor service. They hang up the call and not polite 5. When you call credit card services it says 'we don't recognize number you are calling from and goes in circles' Product review : in scale of 1-5, 5 being best 1. Last Year I…read morewas a 1099 Tax return, give it a 6/10 was there 30min but charged for an hour, John was not thorough. Assumed it was me not asking the right questions and gave them a second chance this year. I was a 1099 Independent Contractor with a Small business LLC that has been open for 3 months. Day of the appointment, again, there for 30 min, John said I would owe 11K in taxes and recommend an LLC to not have to pay those taxes, I was confused because I indeed already had an LLC , and clearly someone missed all my paperwork I input on their organizer. John took a look at my LLC and said "Nevermind, I'm gonna have to redo all this" I left Extremely confused. I called twice and all they could say was " We will let you know if we need anything from you" WHAT!?! WEEKS LATER I get an email stating taxes are done. I was charged 600 for personal, again, charged for an hour that I was not there for, then, 1,300 for business taxes, AND 800 for someone to go through my quickbooks. I had requested 1 HOUR of Quickbooks Organizing. No acknowledgment to the mess up and almost putting me 11K in Debt! No Communication to what is going on. My FIRST time filing for my 3 Month old Business and The Worst Experience I could've had. I Paid My Bill, and I Won't Fight over 3K because I have other this to worry about, but definitely want to help anyone out there looking to file your taxes. Don't come here, There is better out there, Period.
