There was a period where they stopped classes because of some issue in the rink & that was a bummer for her, but they are back to it. She loves it. I didn't interact with any staff, so I can't speak on that. Please dress for winter when you go though. I couldn't feel my feet, hands, or nose by the time I left there, and I was wearing a jean jacket and leggings. I know better for next time. There's not much parking available on the side of the building, but there's plenty in the front. It's just a short walk to get to the entrance. I recommend this place for ice skating lessons. My daughter loves her instructor.

We were immediately impressed with the staff, the fittingly eerie ambience of the lobby & waiting area, the creativity of the stories that set up the experience, and then - most importantly, the quality of the escape room itself. It was so much fun we became instant fans and have been back to many a Red Vein Escape in different family combinations: our whole family, boys day, parents w girls, etc. It is always a positive experience. The faves I've personally done since are Hunt for the Richmond Vampyr and Christmas Krampus. Now for obvious reasons, 2020 presented a challenge to operations, but the staff quickly rose to the occasion; they adapted to state mandates by incorporating face masks into part of their creepy "on brand" presentation. If you're looking for a great date, or a way to make a fun memory with friends or family, you could do worse than Red Vein Escape. YES kid friendly - if your kids are cool like mine ;-)

11/6/19 Shenandoah Log Flume  is my favorite water ride as a…read morekid; as well, as now. These kind of log rides no matter what name they are give are always fun and enjoyable   most people who don't like rollercoasters would enjoy these kinds of rides. As a kid on two separate occasions I found a toys of some sort that someone else dropped or forgotten in the boat.  I don't remember what the second toy was, but the first item I found on this ride was a switchblade knife made of plastic. I picked it up and cleaned it up with some napkins I had. I did a more thorough cleaning later on that day. I even found money in the boat too. It wasn't much, but $5 to $10 bucks was a lit to a kid back then. This ride is not a high level thrill ride. It is a laid back ride with two hills in it. One in the beginning to start the motion without the ocean. The second hill is at the end after the bend.  The rest of the trip is past a house, through the woods without grandma's house we go.   There is little to no chance of getting some water on you...except your backside when sit down in the boat. This ride us located in the woods just like my favorite rollercoaster  named The Grizzle...oh, for the record, it's not truly hidden in the woods anymore, but I will explain this later on. Shenandoah Log Flume  is a softcore ride for children who are becoming teens and teens who are becoming adults. Needless to say, this ride can help break you in... of course, I have seen people abandon ship at the top of the second hill. I have done it once just to see where the staff members go, when it's time for the changing of the guards. I had to abandon ship when the ride malfunctioned too. This was a disappointment, because I like this ride.  Shenandoah Log Flume is not the longest log ride I have been on, but is still fun. Splash Mountain (At Walt Disney World), Saw Mill Log Flume(At Six Flags Great Adventure), Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (At Universal Studios) and Coal Cracker (At Hershey Park) are four fantastic log rides.There are other log rides out there, but you get the point.   A lady I know..wait,...no,....woman I know named Jasmine would have a blast on these rides. Why, because they are relaxing and the water rides are scenic.  Lady Jasmine of Canada would appreciate it. I look forwards to riding another one of these fantastic rides.

Lovely little museum and visitor center at the back of Crump Park…read more Inside the visitir center shows the history of Gabriel's Rebellion and the Sheppard Family of Henrico The visitor center is open daily, the Meadow Farmhouse is open by appointment only. There are live animals outside the Farmhouse.....not for petting or feeding! Henrico Parks and Recs offers lectures on VA and Henrico history and often meets here. We love walking through the park and often go to the lectures.

I love history and this area of Glen Allen is steeped with Virgina history! It opened in 1981,…read moregifted to Henrico County by the namesake park, the Crump family. The museum of Meadow Farm here behind Crump Park is a lovely example of rural farm life in circa 1860. It's well-preserved and has distinct architectural significance of middle class living in that time period. The outbuildings are also well-maintained and the grounds are nicely manicured. At times there are festivals here where folks dress in period costumes and demonstrate candle making, basket weaving, etc. and a blacksmith quarters. There are also animals dwelling in the barns and pastures of this natural living farm. They have many activities and historic events, including a history of "Gabriel's Rebellion". There is usually a big July 4th celebration and other calendar events. This is a wonderful family park as there's lots of trails, picnic areas, a lake and other amenities. Don't miss touring this beautiful park!

This used to be Hurler and made the conversion to Twisted Timbers. I rode Hurler at Carowinds, but…read moreit was pretty rough and glad they did the conversion. It does have a connection to Mystical Timbers. They were only running 1 train at the time and the line did move slow, but was it worth it yes of course. It is different as you go up the hill and then do a twist when going down which is neat. There is a lot of air time in there so you thighs will take a beating for sure. I rode this 3 times there as the line was pretty slow. Seats were assigned so I rode mainly in the middle. Theming was cool

I would recommend going early in the day as to skip the line. Great theming made it feel like a more intense Disney ride. 10/10 would ride again!

You should ride this as soon as u can…read more The intensity is of the road. I blacked out once and the g-force more intimidates the ride. The 270 degree turn is where that happens. The airtime hill gives mild floater as well. The switchbacks after the fill give crazy whip. But the trim on the airtime cuts it. Then there are two more switchbacks and then hits the brakes. Also, I like the soft straps, don't judge me. I'm sad it lost the Dale Earnhardt theme, but that doesn't matter. It's still a amazing ride that I would totally recommend for Coaster Enthusiasts.

I rode this at night time and you will get soaked on the ride even though there is no water falls…read more I remember it was a one and done for me as I got wet. A fun ride especially at night since you do not know what is going on. The problem also is they make you get off the ride and go back in line which the line can be a trek to get there.

11/6/19 The White Water Canyon…read more.. Back in the 80's and my early 90's, I truly enjoyed going on this ride. Back then it seemed the words "you will get wet on this ride" rang true...no, in reality...YOU WOULD GET SOAKED ON THIS RIDE!  There was no question about it. The lines for this ride varied Some times you did not have a line or much of a line. Other times the line was up the wazoo. You could spent 60 minutes to three hours just to get on this ride. Yes, the ride was very popular. Especially when the day was very hot, you would be cooled off. I remember going on this ride and not wearing a bathing suit at times. The feeling of walking around in the wet clothes, but especially the wet underwear feeling wasn't good. Back in the days, swim wear was the best way to go. My last few times I went on this ride,  I remember  going down the rapids getting blasted by water guns from the other coin machines,  hitting waves of rapids, brushing up against the small waterfall and the middle water fall. If you happened  to make it past that point, there were the water geysers to contend with in two sections of the ride.   Finally, if you were lucky enough to get only partially wet like Emily Cantini and David Tropoja, you would not be so lucky when you reached the saw mill. Right at the end of the ride you would start hearing a roaring noise.  That would not be the sound of one hand clapping.  The sound would be hearing is the two large walls of water pouring out the sides of the shed.  The use to be a sign that said No Chance. These walls of water were design to get your ass wet. 99% of the time water would pour all over you and your friends or temporary seat buddy.  The wet sloshy sounds your shoes will make could be heard as you leave the ride would be heard and felt.  The last two times I went on this ride, I had a different experience.  Knowing I was going to get wet on this ride, I wore  wetsuit  to King's Dominion.  I remember it being a very hot day, but suprisingly the line for the White Water Canyon wasn't very long.   Although I did have to wait about 30 minutes to get on the ride, the trees gave off a nice kind of shade. Getting wet was part of the plan and I wasn't disappointed until the end. I was looking forwards to the twin waterfalls, but it didn't happen.  It didn't happen the second time I went there either.  I don't know why King's Dominion stopped the twin Falls in the mill section, because it was the most interesting part of the ride. People would do what they could to get their partner, friends and strangers soaked.  Every once and a while, one person including myself has made it through No Chance waterfalls section. If someone out there knows why King's Dominion has turned off the Saw Mill Waterfalls, I would love to know.  Still, this ride is a four star in my opinion.  It could easily be five stars if they fixed that Twin Falls section, but I don't see this happening anytime soon.
