Buyer beware! First I will state yes, I should have been more educated and I chose to make this…read morepurchase based on the information I was given. The estate sale had several old books I was interested in. Two had no price tag on them and when I asked what the price was Randall looked on Ebay and said he couldn't sell them to me without his "book specialist" appraising them. On Ebay they appeared to be worth $400-$800. The next day I was sent an offer and I made an offer back. They took a week to respond and in the meantime I did the best I could to research old books. The next week I met him again and he came up with the best price he could based on the "expert". Well I went and had the books appraised by real rare book appraisers. I paid $15 each for 2 seperate books that were worth $2 and $5 (thats fine). The "super rare books" I paid $175 for based on their "expert" those books were valued at $20 and $10. Yes their job is to get the most they can for their clients, but it should not be at the expense of the people coming to the sales! Anyone going to their estate sales should be careful. Also to be fair I did make an offer for a chair, I later changed my mind on when I noticed it was broke which upset them. While I was in the other room my uncle asked them to come down a little on the price and told him he might be able to fix it for me and they did. I did not ask my uncle to ask them for a lower price. He wanted to come because there was some art he saw online he wanted to look at. I say that because when I complained to Randall about the books (probably to harshly) he accused me of bringing my uncle to play tricks on him to lower the price of the chair.

Would never use this company. Simple example, the picture…read moreattached is of a school desk at an estate sale for 295. As with everything they price it is out of touch with reality. Would never use them for any estate sale or to appraise anything.

Team Louie was an absolute gift to our family in terms of allowing us to get rid of all of my mom's…read morethings in a way that honored her, honored the house and honored the items. We've recently had to relocate my mom out to California so we can provide care for her. The hardest part about the move was getting my mom to downsize her things. We didn't expect the process to be so emotional for my mom but it was, and Team Louie had the empathy and understanding to truly help her let go of the things. Team Louie came highly recommended from our realtor as the best estate sale company for our needs that also included getting the house ready to list. I also had the opportunity to talk extensively with Donna the owner of Team Louie, and I knew she understood exactly what we were going through with my mother and her condition.  An estate sale was definitely the way to go for our situation since my mom will be downsizing to a much smaller place and my siblings and I do not feel any connection to the things in the home. My mom had an extensive antique collection as well that required a company with knowledge about how to appropriately price the items. Donna, Bob and the rest of the Team Louie staff were a joy to work with from start to finish. My mom made the decision to work with Team Louie because Bob had expertise in the antiques that my mom collected and they both used to go to the antique markets and even recognized one another! His expertise in collectibles meant everything to us. The other reason we chose Team Louie is they work with a non-profit Freedom Treasures that employs developmentally disabled individuals to run a retail store for the items that do not sell in the estate sale. My father would have appreciated empowering people with disabilities since he worked extensively in universal design and the da Vinci awards affiliated with the national multiple sclerosis society, which had as its heart a focus on empowering individuals with disabilities. The feedback I received from friends attending the sale was that everything was extremely well organized and that Team Louie had top-notch professionals running the sale. The other services they provided included throwing out the trash from the house in dumpsters and cleaning up the house from top to bottom both before and after the estate sale to get the house ready to list. They were very responsive before, during and after the sale, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. My sister and I live far away and having a trustworthy service provider to help us manage it all from afar has made the difficult process of downsizing so much easier. We are so grateful to Team Louie.

Since last February I've been waiting to no avail. His great clients obviously buy 10 cents on a dollar of worth. I can't begin to tell you how ripped off and sad I am. Example $700 lamp ?? Connie did a wonderful job in handling all aspects of our estate sale…read more Our house of 50 years (imagine how much stuff was in there!) sold very quickly. Connie got the sale organized within two weeks, spending much time getting almost everything in the house displayed for sale and priced (we took very few things to our much smaller condo). Over 1,000 people visited the sale over a three-day period of time. Almost as important to us as the sale, was the fact that she arranged for what didn't sell to be donated. What couldn't be donated, she arranged to be removed from the house. Finally, she arranged for a husband-and-wife team to clean the house for the new owners. It looked great when we turned the keys over. We moved because we are getting up in age. We could have never vacated the house and left it in such good condition without Connie and her team. Thank you, Connie!!
