They use high pressure sales tactics and you can expect to pay: $400 for their standard springs each and $500 for their green springs which are the same thing just painted green. Your can expect their manager mike to get on the phone with their technician when you give pushback and they'll try to close the sale. Their technicians need to have an average of $1000 per service call to keep their job. Not only do they not have your best interest in mind but any money you spend with them will be offloaded to a private equity firm in another state.

The day starts with finalizing a shopping and errands list. Open garage door drive out, close…read moregarage door and BANG! I looked myself over thinking I may have been shot. Then it dawned on me the garage door spring just broke. Add looking for garage door repair to the list. I called a few reliable friends and checked Yelp (of course). Discount Garage Door was the best choice apparently. Called them and was impressed with the receptionist/dispatcher. She told me that a tech would be available 24 hours later. When does that ever happen? Jay shows up on time with a smile. (When does that ever happen?) He took one look at my busted spring and said,"Yep, broken spring." He then explained that the builder had used the wrong spring for our door, which is common because they like to save money wherever they can. Jay then quoted a price below what I expected and that the job would be done correctly in 40 minutes. It actually took him 38 minutes. Bottom line, better service at a fair price done correctly and promptly.

He came when he said he would and kept me up to date on the phone. He gave me just the right amount of information and was upfront with me about the issue; best part: he did not try to sell me a bunch of stuff I did not need!! He fixed the problem quickly and with ease. I can tell he is a nice guy trying to make an honest living to support his family. The company is locally owned and I like that. The owner's dad also has a garage door company, so it's a trade that's been in the family a while. I feel like companies like that this one are hard to come by these days. I highly recommend Tulsa Garage Door Doctor.

I called and scheduled a service call not once, but twice. And even after I called and complained…read moreafter I was stood up the first time, again, NO CALL NO SHOW. They have no excuse for the 1st missed appt, but the 2nd one they evidently scheduled for the wrong day. Go figure! By the way, the company claimed they are not a call center; but turns out you set the appt with a CSR that's in their "centralized" location, which in turn, sets the appt with the local technician. At any rate, I'm not setting up another appt with these clowns. My tenant is annoyed; and they've made me look like I'm the one that's dropped the ball. I've asked around and a family member referred me to a smaller, privately owned company in the area.
