However, we were still having issues that indicated otherwise. While I fought with my home warranty, our AC completely gave out and would not turn back on. I called Artic Air at 8 am on Monday 7/17/2023, and a tech was at our house at 3pm that same day and our AC was working and running beautifully (despite being 20 years old) by 5pm. This tech was very nice, worked efficiently, and fixed our AC when our house thermostat said 87 degrees inside. The tech diagnosed the issue as shortages in the wiring. He fixed those, installed my new thermostat, and went ahead and cleaned the unit for a reasonable price. I really wish I could remember his name but I 100% recommend this company!

However, a recent interaction with the crew at Heart has prompted me to finally write this. Below is the kind of service you can expect from Heart. Last year I had issues with a 20+ year old HVAC system. The diagnostic work on the old system and following quote on a new system went better than any other company I have used for that kind of service in the past. The final analysis made it clear that it was time for a whole new system, and Heart accommodated us right away. All of the individuals we dealt with were professional and knowledgeable. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, I returned home late on a Saturday night to find that the new system is suddenly not working. First thing in the morning on a Sunday I call Heart to let them know what is going on with the system. Within an hour, on a Sunday morning they had a technician at my house troubleshooting the system. Very impressive! The technician determined there was a refrigerant leak and advised me that they would be out in a few days to trace the leak and figure out what component had failed. The day came to find the failed component and they located it in the outside compressor. The technicians advised that the refrigerant leak was so bad that we were out of refrigerant again already and serviced the unit for free once again. Heart then pulled some kind of warranty work magic and had a whole new outside compressor first thing the next day, and the best part of this is that for all of the service calls and parts involved getting my system up and running it cost me ZERO out of pocket. Absolutely amazing experience. All if this to say that Heart not only takes care of new customers but they stand behind the work that they do and do an incredible job taking care of their customers.

I have now gone through my entire savings account to fix this problem. In the end, after three "repairs" that only worked for a week or less, the verdict was.... "spend 10-15k and replace your entire system. And if you think you can replace it with mini-splits, two mini splits are the same price." How does the cost of two mini splits add up to over 10-15k when you see the cost of the one sized for my house at less than 1300 for ONE? Why does the installation cost $3700 per EACH for the LOW quality machine? Then the "good news" ..... "we will take $500 off the price because you've nearly spent 2 thousand so far." It doesnt matter that I spent nearly 6 months to save to get that 2k, they think I have 10k in my back pocket. I try to get a loan, and learn that if I take a loan to pay them 10-15k, then for the next 10+ years I have to pay about $300 a month for this air conditioner. Basically trapped in my house until death to pay for air conditioning. This will take every extra penny I have every month. Great choice... hell or hell. The worst part? Had I not used this company, I could have bought two window air conditioning units for under $1,000!!!. Tough lesson to learn at age 67. Next summer is going to be painful. Don't confuse showing up quickly as doing a good job like I did. If your repair bill is going to be over $1,000, decline and buy window units or you will never have peace of mind that you will be cool anymore.

Now I'm just trying to pay them. Yes, trying. My balance was to be adjusted bc we had to do some repairs ourselves. I can't get a balance despite calls. The worked needing done was above the toilet and in the shower so --- the bright idea of the day ---- the worker decided to stand on top of it in his work boots.... And DID NOT TAKE 2 MINUTES TO COVER THE SEAT... so it got ALL SCRATCHED UP! Lastly, they did NOT CLEAN UP ANYTHING AND LEFT A MESS - water on the toilet seat - not wiped off.... Debris everywhere and big holes in the wall in the bathroom and in the hallway outside my unit 338. No consideration for the human being in the unit and their time and how they were going to clean up a huge mess and replace a brand new item! I would recommend checking elsewhere! The marks and wetness are difficult to see but I marked all the black chips and marks that won't come off just because something couldn't be lied over it .

According to the plumber that repaired my tank, Leak-Tek had used the wrong wire nuts and the wires were loose and arcing. Not only did this keep my tank from working, this could have led to a fire that could have destroyed my home. In addition, the same parts that were replaced by Leak-Tek had to be replaced again. Upon inspection by the plumber, the parts Leak-Tek installed were not OE parts even though it was a warranty repair. I have not had any problems since the legitimate plumbing professional serviced my tank. Be careful with who you choose to do repairs in your home.
