Upon the completion of the project, I eagerly gave Tom and ACT Landscaping a very good review. I was happy overall with the finished project and Tom's communication skills. Unfortunately, I am going to have to revise my review due to his lack of communication AFTER the project was completed and my review was already submitted. During the project, Tom was always reachable and he responded timely to my concerns whether it was through text, email or phone. After the project was completed, it became almost impossible to get him to respond and take action to solve an unexpected erosion issue. The warranty clearly states that they will repair any patio as a result of normal wear and tear for a period of one year. After only four months, one corner of the patio eroded to expose the edging and stakes. The first time, Tom sent someone out to add dirt to the area. A few days later after a rainstorm, the area eroded again. I emailed Tom and asked for a more permanent solution to the erosion issue, and he replied that he was going to take care of it. I waited a good three weeks and there was no response. I emailed him again, and he said he was busy with another project and would come out the following week. I waited another two weeks and then called him directly. There was no response so I left a voice message. I waited for him to call me back, but he didn't. A couple days later, I left another voice message. Now, it's been two months, and he hasn't called, emailed or texted me. There is now snow on the ground. At this point, I don't know if it is worth it to pursue this any further. It is a waste of my time and resources to try to get a response from this company. This project cost me thousands of dollars. Clearly, they are only responsive when they need the rest of the payment. Once the job is done, they feel they have no more reason to address concerns. After this experience, I will definitely not recommend ACT Landscaping to anyone. read more

This company is an absolute JOKE! I am with another company in the twin cities and was called out to a very nice older lady's home last week to look at a retaining wall that had to be rebuilt. Upon arrival the work looked to be at least 20 years old, but turns out was just installed by Act landscaping 2 MONTHS AGO!. I couldn't believe what i saw.. The installation was the absolute worst i have ever seen.. She mentioned that they were very easy to get ahold of during the project but once he got his money he has since Dis appeared. She has tried to call them for the past 2 months to get them back over to fix or give the money back, no answer. I even tried calling a few times and no response.. It makes me sick that there are companies out there that will do this to someone.. She is taking them to court now and will have to go through this renovation again.. At least this time around a company that ACTUALLY knows what they are doing will get the project done correctly. Please do a little research before you hire this abomination of a company.. read more

Amazing work!!! Just had Tom and his crew complete a new sidewalk and skirt in front of our almost collapsing garage!!! They were prompt and very tidy with the whole project. Did the prep work in one afternoon and showed up at 7am the following morning to meet the cement truck. Project finished by 10:30am the following day! Great communication and follow-up. 5 stars...would definitely hire them in the future! read more
