Located in the center of town, close to Figueretas beach, closer to the street side (away from the promenade) is a quaint cafe of bold bright colors, picnic benches for patio dining, and beachy adornments. The inside of the cafe has a lit case of desserts and cold bottled beverages. It was one of the only cafes we walked by where the menu seemed really appetizing and different from most of the surrounding restaurants. Right away I noticed the thought put into the decorum. Unfortunately, as I've discovered, most restaurants do not have air conditioning, and so my food choices for the good part of the week (as well as the thought.... will my bikini look okay if I eat this), were mostly garden related with maybe with a protein. No bread tummy for me on this trip. Save the carbs for the cocktails!
The La Saborita salad was the perfect choice, refreshing to my stomach, and to hold me over while we were planning on dancing the night away later. The salad, for 6 euros, was bountiful. Buttery lettuce, fresh and crisp, apple slices, walnuts, and chunks of blue cheese. They have many options on their menu, and to my knowledge that they had recently undergone a menu transformation. Please do not forget to check out this out of the out of the ordinary cafe on your trip to Ibiza, if you happen to skip off the boardwalk and walk a couple blocks! Family friendly, but also really tasty food! read more
