He also placed multisized rocks along the walkway. The outcome was an awesome and beautiful landscape that replaced NO steps, just walking in the grass from garage to pole barn. In 2019, we again hired Marty to evaluate our old landscape around the remainder of the house, which involved the north, south and west side around the house. The new landscaping had to tie in with the front of our ranch home, primarily blending in with the blossoming plants and bushes that had been replaced only a few years back. Marty and I visited a nursery and a personal residence, one that he helped design and install which resulted in a beautiful landscape that had abundant color and various bushes. After our visit, we were able to select different plants and a tree that would blend in with the rosetta stone landscape. The result is beautiful landscape, blending various plants and bushes, a weeping tree with new bedlines full of new mulch and compost. Not only did Marty design and plant the new landscape, he had to remove the old overgrown bushes and bring in additional dirt and fertilizer for the new. That was a monstrous task and he approched it without hesitatiion! In summary, we are very happy with Marty Strobel and would hire him again in a heart beat! He is a very hard worker, shows up when he says he will, has great design ideas, uses quality materials, and keeps his customer up-to-date on his progress. This guys were absolutely amazing. They cut down A HUUUGE tree...can't recall if it was an oak…read moreor maple--work was done in Oct. of 2018--then another full tree, and "trimmed" two others. I say "trimmed" bcuz the "leads"--as they're properly called in Forestry (I did not know this)--were as large as MOST TREES. The guys worked their butts off: Started around 8:30-9 on a Saturday am and ended up finishing around 7p on Sunday night. Now here's the kicker: When they were done with all the cutting/loading of wood/brush--and I mean they took EV. RY. SINGLE STICK--the owner went around with a leaf blower and basically cleaned my entire yard. We had an old pile of decrepit wood that they took as well. And oh, btw: they ground every stump, INCLUDING A BONUS ONE FR A TREE THAT I'D CUT DOWN PREVIOUSLY. I'm sure with the state of the world, their prices have climbed commensurate with inflation, but at the time, they did allllll the work I'd mentioned for $4500. I was thoroughly impressed & astounded. I BELIEVE "the son" has taken over the business now, but my lord, was I ever impressed with this company.
