Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had with…read moreCraig Caffarello at Your Place Realty. First of all, he was honest with me about what I needed to do to my home in order for it to sell at the price I wanted. (Nothing major, but things that made a big difference!) He knew the market like the back of his hand. No other realtor that I interviewed gave me the facts, figures and current market trends like he did. He knew the price I wanted to get for my house, told me what I needed to do, and told me what he would do in order to get my price. And guess what!! I got my price!! Actually, $4000 more!! It gets better! When buying my new home, he skillfully negotiated for me and didn't give up! I now am settled in my new house and so grateful to Craig. I will be passing his name along to anyone and everyone I meet!! Thank you!!

My whole move was planned around this reservation. They promptly rented my truck to someone else. When I called to let them know I was coming, I spoke with Craig (I believe that was his name). He advised me that he has no trucks available! I advised him of my confirmation that included his business as the pick up location. HE RENTED OUT MY RESERVED TRUCK! This snake then turned it around on me. He became extremely condescending and rude. He insinuated that I do not know how to read. He made NO attempt to help me with my problem then hung up on me (really?). I called him back immediately and he refused to answer the phone(really?). Come on Craig, man up and answer the phone. Are you 12? I am surprised these people are still in business to be honest, Craig is obviously incompetent and a coward. He certainly doesn't believe in treating his customers with respect and is incapable of problem solving. If you are considering doing business with these people. Don't ... RUN as fast as you can! There are plenty of other businesses in the area that provide truck rentals and other real estate services. No need to deal with an incompetent business like this one. I want to personally thank Craig and Your Place Realty for single handedly cancelling my entire move that I have been planning for a month and a half. The actual cost of the truck (about 250-300) is NOTHING compared to the thousands I am going to have to pay to reschedule my entire move, pay extra rent and fees, etc, etc. Also, add the days I will miss at work because of these people. THANKS! Like I said....RUN, as fast as you can. These people do not honor their commitments.

They will absolutely scheme to make sure they get the most money while you're left with a hot mess you won't even find out about until something goes completely sideways. Let's take a look at all of the lovely accolades they said about the house in the listing, shall we? "All updated vinyl windows"? LOL, windows are trimmed on the exterior with painted OSB plywood -- not even a thought to proper flashing, bottom frames are completely rotted out inside. "Updated appliances"? Fridge started leaking refrigerant within a year & turns out the serial number was scratched out (a lemon), wall vent was hooked up to a light switch, stove side looks like it was dropped from 6 feet in the air. "Granite countertops"? Scrap piece that they attempted to fit on the old cabinets that had a gap at the back you could throw a plate down in some spots & where there was backsplash it looked like they used school glue to attach it so it fell off. "Updated copper plumbing"? Sure, but instead of, idk, putting it in the wall where the PREVIOUS PIPES ALREADY WERE, they ran it through the floor and left the cast iron just hanging from the wall in the basement. "Huge full fenced in back yard"? Fence fell down within a year and a half, we thought we had at least a bit of time. A wasp infestation, invasive trees and weeds everywhere. Otherwise -- Electrical? A joke. Exposed wires in the attic. Bathtub? Such a nice alcove cast iron tub -- painted with WALL PAINT TO LOOK NICE. I would have rather they had just let it be the way that it was. I shudder to think what kind of atrocities I will find behind the tile in the bathroom at this point in the "updated main bath". I honestly hope that this is a fluke but I know they probably have done this to many other people and that infuriates me. Hope they're enjoying all the money they made off me now because where they'll eventually wind up, it won't be nice!

She is such a positive and realistic person which is really helpful in keeping your head out of the clouds while shopping for a home. Natalie is a great listener too. My wife and I have her the list of things we wanted from a home and we viewed the house we eventually bought on the first day of house hunting. We went out on two separate days just to make sure we weren't missing out on something even more too good to be true. We wanted our first home to be our long term home and I don't know that we would have been able to achieve that with another realtor. Natalie was helpful, always available, easy to talk to and funny too. We couldn't have asked for better help and are recommending her to anyone who is in the market. Thanks again Natalie, Daniel

After contacting Carla H. in error and letting her know we were looking for the listing agent we…read morereceived a very unprofessional, scathing email about not using the sellers listing agent to buy a home. Accused us of not knowing what we were doing, warning us that this is not the way to purchase a home and that now the listing agent was going to (gasp!) receive ALL of the commission! and that she pays! to be a contact on Realtor.com and he doesn't so how can he be reliable? Absolutely not what we would expect from a professional. Do not assume what we know or do not know about purchasing a home you arrogant bully. Never, ever will we recommend her to anyone! What an absolute unprofessional bully! Email copy follows below. You decide! Response to our email from Ms. Hill: Hello Mike, I've had a very busy day and just now sat down to my computer to catch up with "all" my email messages from today while I was out. I did get your message about wanting the listing agent. I just want to make sure you understand a few things regarding this decision. The listing agent is already contracted to work for the seller, that happens when the seller signs a listing agreement with that agent to sell the home. This is also when the commission the seller agrees to pay the listing agent and the buyer's agent is set through that listing agreement contract. Somehow there is some myth out there that working with the listing agent is the best way to purchase a home. I ask you if the listing agent is already working for the seller, then how can you, as a buyer, get exclusive representation using the listing agent when purchasing a home? When you are making the largest most expensive purchase in your lifetime wouldn't you want your own representation? In listing homes myself, I develop a strong relationship with the seller's when I work with them and many times it is more like a friendship through the listing/marketing process. So why do you believe your going to get the best deal/representation or whatever it is you are trying to accomplish by going through the listing agent? They are already obligated to work for the seller by the contract they already signed. Now you, the buyer comes along and wants to buy this house. If the seller agrees, then that listing agent will be allowed to show that home to buyer's. According to the law, you must be informed that this is a listing of that listing agent also. So all parties must agree by signing a form called a dual agency form. This form discloses dual agency between the buyer and seller and their relationship with the listing/selling agent (this must be done at the first showing according to the law). What you are doing is giving both commission's to the listing agent and in the process you are not getting the best representation you can possibly get for all that money. I realize you will likely not call me back to help you with this process of your home purchase, I am hoping to help you by educating you about the process. I am sure the listing agent is going to be delighted when you call to look at their listing because it means they don't have to share either commission and they get both commissions. On another note, when you go through Realtor.com to inquire about a home...unless that listing agent is dedicated to their own business enough to pay Realtor.com to receive their own leads, then your inquiry about that home is going to go to someone like me. By the way, I do pay Realtor.com to send the buyer's who inquire about my listings to me. Not only that, but I also pay Realtor.com to send the buyer leads to me from listing's where the listing agent does not pay Realtor.com to receive their own leads on their own listings. Obviously the agent on this home does not pay Realtor.com to receive their own buyer leads and that is why your inquiry came to me. I have been selling Real Estate for over 25 years and I am fully dedicated to my business. It is not my hobby job and I try to do it Top Notch all the way. If you are inclined to call me or respond to this message and allow me to represent you, it would be my pleasure, however I don't expect that to happen. In the end, I wish you the best of luck and I sincerely hope your home buying experience is nothing but the best. I am concerned that you are going to have a less than hoped for experience though by the way you are going about it. Nonetheless, Good Luck and thank you for allowing me this time. Respectfully, Carla S. Hill, GRI, CRS, ABR, SFR, Broker Consultant Kettley & Company Realtor's 720 Bridge Street Yorkville, IL. 60560
