Don't bother calling the meat department. They hire anyone with a pulse. I called to asked about beef brisket. The person went to check tells me they have some. I get there and it's corned beef brisket. Apparently they don't know the difference between beef brisket and corned beef brisket. Edit: this store has some really high prices on the items . I like this acme. It is special to me. I have gone there since I was young and it is always nicely stocked. They even have my fave cold brew frozen yogurt. I wish they had mango loco monster, but I can always open up the variety pack and scan the mango locos out of it. Sometimes the staff is mean, but I give them a break because people probably arnt very nice to them too, and you don't go to a grocery store to get fine dining customer service. If you have a problem with the staff literally use self checkout and you have to interact with 0 people. read more

Prices here are pretty high compared to other grocery stores. The bathrooms and self checkout registers are gross and need a heavy duty clean. The only good things about this acme is it never gets crowded (understandably) and staff are nice. read more

Behind I brought $200 dollar gift card and the manager or anyone in charge would not return my call after I also left messages about the card was used already and I needed them to help so I could get it back my money n I don't drive so I just lost was scammed for my hard earned money so Im done with ACME really no stars at all !! read more

I tried to order a cake. I called several times no one answered at the bakery! I called customer service, and the manager went to bakery & never returned to the call. We are loyal Acme Phoenixville customers. Every Friday we go through the flyer and select sale items to include on our shopping list. These items are stored in the Acme App on my wife's phone.  At check out we diligently enter the phone number on the key pad but on at least five or six occasions the sale price has not been credited.  Each time we went to Cindy (last name unknown) at customer service.  Most recently, Sat April 9th she accused us of trying to scam the store saying she couldn't just hand out money and questioning whether we actually had an account saying maybe we entered the landline or wrong cell phone number all with a sneer.  I felt we were being accused of either theft, lying or being too stupid to do it correctly.  This has happed with three different cashiers.  With Tom, the cashier we usually try to go to  it has never happened.  On one occasion the cashier cancelled the sale and rescanned everything.  This is incredibly annoying.  I don't know what the problem is, maybe a problem with the terminals or inadequate cashier training.  All we know is the the items are put into the app on my wife' phone and the correct phone number entered.  We have easy access to Giant and Wegmans and just as easily can shop there.  It is annoying in the extreme and upsetting first that it happens and second to have Cindy roll her eyes, sneer and suggest that we are trying to scam the store or just plain to stupid to do it correctly. That is hardly effective customer service rather is is customer alienation. Actually we like the store my initial bad review was directed to one person not the whole store. read more

When you only staff one cashier for a Sunday who can't ring more than 3 items a minute you have a problem. Lines are long and there's no sense of urgency in the building from anyone. I'm consistently trying to give it another chance due to this locations proximity to my house but they typically let me down. If it's not the rude staff at shelf check out, there's always this one cashier who likes to talk down to me. read more

I've been shopping here for years. I always liked it because it was not too big and the aisles aren't cluttered with too many non-grocery items. I know where to find things. They have re-done the store and the selection is much better. Prices and specials are good. read more

I don't know if it's just an acme thing, but they just seem cluttered and old. More isn't always more. I prefer some open space. It makes it look clean and organized. There was so much "stuff" being marketed, that I really didn't see anything. This store probably has the worst customer service helpdesk. We were waiting over 10 mins to return an item because there was no one at the customer service desk. A lot of store executives tried to find him but in vain. Well, he does return after 10-15 mins and doesn't even apologize for the delay. This is the second time it's happened to us at the customer service desk and it's frustrating ! Even Walmart has way better customer service than this store. read more

I have bought a signature farm peanuts in the shell, one pound for 2.99. had to throw the bag the minute I taste just a few..very low quality. I love that Acme has tried to up their game in terms of ascetics and wine/beer selections but I have an an issue almost time I shop there now that has made me extremely frustrated with management. A cashier named Tom, who is such a kind man, is constantly swamped at the register with a giant line. His co workers stand around and notice he is overwhelmed but do nothing to help. I will say there is also another employee who deserves credit for being super helpful to Tom when he's in need of help and he's generally helpful to customers with a great attitude. I'm not sure his name but he was a cool guy. Tom and this mystery man deserve recognition than they're given considering the influx of customers they are interacting with while still keeping a positive attitude. I wouldn't even give them one star. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Hands down the worst pharmacy and pharma-techs. Theyre Rude and racist and way to judgemental on your medications. The liqueur store is good but for groceries they are over priced and slow checkout. Often times dares almost past expiration. read more

This store is dismal, it is poorly stocked, poorly lit and poorly staffed. This store is usually empty. Because they are not busy the products on the shelves are often out of date. The best reason NOT to shop here is the prices, they simply cannot compete with any other market in price, variety or service. read more

I don't like disorganized grocery stores, and this location is perfect for me. It has a good location off a busy road and traffic to get in is not bad. The cashiers are helpful, especially the ones working the self check out. My fab part is the produce section. Everything appears freshly stocked and ripe! I hate seeing moldy, squishy fruit and veggies so this place def passed the great produce test. The isles are neat and organized. There's also a wine in spirits in the back! I docked one star because I have been there when there are long lines and it was pretty painful. But overall I liked this store, thanks mr. manager! read more

Their prices are way higher than Giant giant has more of a selection better produce section, and just a cleaner and brighter atmosphere.

This place is dirty and the rest of the items are expired. This place is not worth the dirt it sits on.
