The great thing that I immediately noticed was that they didn't have wine, not sure why as this location is not in PA but maybe DE has some weird alcohol laws as well. Trade Joes has an awesome frozen foods section. Their Indian frozen foods are packed with flavor and are a great price. The service is always amazing and friendly. Trader Joe's is one of those places that changes what they carry often. So if there is something you like, stock up. This is a smaller location but they pack a lot into the small location. The parking lot is pretty full.

They don't answer the phone, and I had to get out of my car just to check in (on more than one occasion). When I got home, I found multiple issues with my order. A bag of Sun Chips was already torn open, and my Dave's Killer Bagels pack only had 4 bagels instead of the usual 5. On top of this, they substituted two packs of flatbread with crackers despite my order clearly stating no substitutions. It took three separate phone calls just to get these issues resolved and to receive credits. Overall, a very frustrating experience. The Elverson PA store is MUCH better, never had an issue there.

Exploring Exton when I moved here brought me to ALDI. My co-worker always raves about this place…read moreso I decided to stop by one evening. They're supposedly the same company as Trader Joe's which we all know offers fresh groceries as affordable pricings. ALDI is similar in that everything is very inexpensive. Don't expect to see many name branded items here. They are mostly generic items and still quality in my opinion. They have some organic produce too which are affordable and fresh. ALDI is a good place to find staple everyday stuff. More specialty items you'll have to search and wait around for. Their stocked items change regularly so you'll never know what you find here. One thing I learned is that they don't provide free bags. Reusable bags are available for purchase at $0.10 each. They're very sturdy and well worth the $0.10. You need a quarter to release the shopping cart outside (which will be returned to you when you return your cart). They have a long counter near the checkout for patrons to place their purchased items in their own bags (that is if you brought your own which i highly recommend). I've been here a few times to buy my milk, eggs, produce and juice. Sometimes I'll have find good deals on kitchen ware, snacks and seasonal stuff. the cashiers are always pretty fast and nice. yay for ALDIs! My only dislike is you can ONLY pay with CASH or DEBIT, no credit cards which means no credit card rewards, points, etc!!!! oh, remember to grab a circular for next weeks specials on your way out!!!

NEW HOURS from NOVEMBER 2021…read more 9 -- 7 Sunday 9 -- 8 the rest of the week Pretty good selection, they seem to have extensive fish and meat as well though I have only purchased packaged goods and some other groceries. Easy store to navigate, and is not crammed. Lots of smaller or end displays with changing stock, keeps it interesting. Fast checkout! My only issue with this store is that they are VERY LAX ON PRICE DISPLAY. I know I'm shouting, maybe Gigante will hear me (this listing is unclaimed). Happily the cashiers are friendly and help scan things, but this is a pain....just about half of my items last time had NO PRICE labels on item or the shelf! Stopped me from more spontaneous purchases so maybe not a bad thing, but annoying nonetheless.

Live from your friendly neighborhood Stage 5 Grocery Stalker: The new Lidl in Exton is open, and…read moreit's beautiful! Like a weirdo, I've been driving by the storefront every time I've been in Exton recently to check if it was open yet. I wish I could blame this excitement on being cooped up due to COVID, but in reality guys...I just love new grocery stores. Opening details have been suspiciously limited online so I've had to rely on good ol' fashioned drive-by's. Shoutout to my local plant swap group where I finally learned that - yes! - they're open at last. The store itself is very big for its category - I believe larger than the other Lidl's in the area and definitely bigger than the nearby Exton Aldi. It's super bright and welcoming. Even full of many other excited opening-week shoppers tonight, there was room to maneuver around and find what I was looking for. One thing I love about Lidl is their fresh bakery. In non-COVID times everything is available by the piece: one pretzel roll, one croissant, etc. Right now for disease prevention everything is bundled into packages so you can't pick & mix as easily, but the prices are great so even buying multiple of one product is still a good deal. My usual go-to is either the pretzels or pretzel buns, but this time I picked up some tasty quark donut holes which were soft and fresh. I didn't really come in with a list today, so more just wondered around the aisles and got a lay of the land. For some reason I was amused by the mini door freezers above the usual fish/meat sliding freezers. They make the store look more...organized? Futuristic? I don't know, but they're fun. Also fun: if you're used to other Lidl stores or shopping at Aldi, this won't be a surprise to you, but they have a decent rotating stock of home goods and clothing in the middle of the store as well. If you are usually more of a Giant/Acme kinda gal, you may be surprised to find small kitchen appliances, women's leggings, and men's boat shoes next to your salmon. It's always fun to see what random things pop up that you usually don't need but will be tempted by anyway. All employees were super friendly and welcoming, and everyone was wearing a mask. Of course the store is brand new but still worth mentioning that it looked sparkling clean. No quarters required for carts, and they have the smaller "half carts" which I appreciate because they're much easier to maneuver around the store. Overall a great first impression from this new Lidl and I'm definitely looking forward to shopping here more!
