Tickets are available to the last two shows this weekend (25-26Jul)- go purchase asap! ​My daughter loves the movie, so I've seen it well over 100 times--plus the Broadway production! Since we love musical performances, we knew the moment we ran into YAT at the YMCA health fair that we were definitely going to attend. ​The kids did such a wonderful job! The singing, dancing, and acting were incredible...I was honestly amazed at the sheer amount of talent on stage. During a few songs, I actually shed tears of pure happiness. It was also so cool that they did a meet/greet afterwards. My daughter ran right up to young Anna and hugged her. A huge thank you to the actress for showing my daughter so much love and taking a picture with her--she was so happy! ​The venue had a decent sized foyer that comfortably accommodated concessions, raffle display tables, and a crowd of roughly 100 people (maybe more). I loved seeing all the themed snacks, stickers, gift baskets, and souvenirs. Prices to support the theater were very reasonable, and using Venmo for payment was super easy. ​I 100% recommend following YAT for upcoming show dates! It is the perfect way to support the local community and enjoy a fun family night out:)

I walked past this store front in Grossmont Center and immediately registered him as soon as I got home. The price for the four-day camp is very reasonable, considering the cost of regular childcare and that the kids are there from 9AM-4PM. My son always ended the day enthusiastic about what he had learned, and excited to come back the next day. The showcase they put on at the end of the week for family and friends is impressive, especially since they only have a short period of time to teach both songs and choreography. My son's solo brought proud tears to my eyes! He said he can't wait to come back for the next one in the spring.

(Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! I have only been here almost a dozen times but each time we leave feeling better than we entered. Want to know why? Because we laughed so hard and shed some tears in the process. We were fortunate enough to have seen the Christmas show with Jeff's daughter. It was such a wonderful show with her pianist and saxophonist accompanying her and multiple costume changes. We also enjoyed seeing her father perform. I must say I look for the shows where it's mainly Jeff Hobson performing because he is so funny, so talented, and he has such incredible timing with quick wit that it literally tickles my brain. Arrive an hour prior to the show and enjoy the entertainment in the lobby. You can order something to drink from the bar. Just make sure you've made dinner plans before or after the show as there's no food available. You will be treated to either musical talent or magical talent prior to the main show in the auditorium. Choose the front row if you REALLY want to participate. Great for celebrating special occassions.

When I heard they would be at Marvyn's, I made sure to secure tickets. The theater is nicely laid out and makes for an intimate experience. They have entertainment before the start of the show and an amazing bar. I believe this show was sold out. In the seating area they have hilarious sayings on the screen over the stage. Wish I could remember them. Photography is forbidden in the theater. Anyhow, they are true entertainment professionals and know how to work the room. There were several things they did that we had our mind boggled. But we're the types who don't want to find out and rather like keeping the mystery intact. Amazing really doesn't begin to describe their show. We were beyond impressed. They kind and gracious to do a meet & greet after the show. It was a most enjoyable and magical evening!

You can't get better than this with a community theater / production and you can't beat the price. Many of the musical shows are composed in house (like Wizard of Oz) and are unique to this theater which I didn't know - impressive. I was expecting the same songs as you would expect with such a well known musical, but it was all different and just as enjoyable. There was a few times they added Christian element to the story, but it was subtle and not in your face. The singing talent in the cast was pretty good as was the sound system. There is probably not a bad seat in the place as we sat near the back and had no issues. They have boosters for the kids as well.
