If you want city luxuries book a place with city luxuries. Saw the review about the water. Almost any place in the country in Ohio will have water with sulfur and iron. At the buck or so for gallon jugs of water at Kroger et al, a simple solution is obvious. No you won't stink after showering. It's hard water, so you will have use more soap and shampoo. Use the jugs for drinking, coffee, and our dogs. There are grocery stores nearby, but if you need special dietary items bring them with you. Small town groceries will not have the selection of the giant supermarkets. Off and on have been coming here about 12 years. Probably will another 12.

The bed was warm and clean and comfortable and the shower was clean and hot with pleanty of fresh towels. We stayed for two nights and the maid came in and cleaned up and restocked our towels and made our beds in between which is amazing most places do it every two days! It was nice to have a made bed again!! The free hot breakfast was delicious and the hotel has pleanty of parking and is near tons of shopping and fast food and a Wal Mart. I loved my stay here and I will definitely be back next time I am in Wapakoneta.

It had a regular bedroom/bathroom setup with plenty of space and then a whole other room with a living room and, electric fireplace, and a hot tub. The whole thing felt a little dated, but in a fun way. There was also balconies but they overlook the indoor pool so no access to fresh air. Check in was fast, they have a restaurant and bar downstairs, hot breakfast options, and an ice cream machine in the lobby. There was plenty of space around the pool and some game tables as well. I didn't go in but I also saw an arcade and a workout center. For the rate, this definitely fit the bill and some.

My boyfriend has the IHG credit card and because of that is a Platinum member, and we used his points to book a standard King room. I believe they upgraded us to a King room with a small kitcheonette and sitting space. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right next to the highway and you could hear cars, but it was more of a white noise. IHG has apparently been working on upgrading its hotels, and you can tell - the room had a Keurig and a few other amenities. The Dove body wash and toiletries were also really nice. I was most impressed by the hotel breakfast today - variety of hot items like sausage and room temp items like cereal etc. They had a make your own pancakes machine too, and a fridge full of yogurt, mini water bottles, milk and chocolate milk, etc. They also had to-go boxes, which I've never seen before at a hotel breakfast, presumably if you wanted to eat in your room or take it on the road with you. Only negative things I can say was that the bathtub was small (I prefer baths to showers) and you can definitely hear the highway noises at night, but it wasn't super loud.

I was being recruited for a position in a company in the area and I was interviewing/checking out the company/checking out the area. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed. I ultimately took the job. I had to immediately book the hotel again. I therefore stayed here again from Jan 10 2020 for over a month while waiting to first get possession of the home I bought and during the time my floors were getting redone. Stayed in a suite, with two queen beds and a living rook that had a fold out sofa bed. Hard living with two other people in such a small enclosed space. The hotel does offer suites with kitchen, alas they are few and hard to come by. I spent the time in one without one and had to eat out all the time. My stats were pleasant, considering all the above. The hotel breakfast room is large and comfortable. The hotel has an indoor heated pool which is a big plus! The staff also is the friendliest hotel staff I have ever dealt with. I would talk to them all the time. We would ask how we were all doing, where we were in our move. These are genuinely warm people and the best part of staying at this hotel. There are some weaknesses. The breakfast is unappetizing, and I usually avoided it.. even though it was included in my stay. It didn't taste bad... just didn't have taste... it was bland. The coffee is weak. The suites can also definitely be a little larger and they need updating. Some of the furniture seems to have seen much better days. Still, I did enjoy my stay here and was thankful that I was able to find a hotel for such a long stay in such short notice.

While I'm absolutely positive the reason for this horrendous room will inevitably be blamed on Covid, it strikes me as odd that I should be charged full price for their lack of staff or care. If you can, roll on to the next town for a place to sleep.
