Bad feelings about this place. The Heroin situation was ongoing and disturbing at all hours for a few months! Yet they did not notice?? Once informed, they did not care. Seriously? People come and go here with children! When I called them twice to alert them and discuss solutions, there was no offer of help, they wanted to wash their hands of it--they were rude and hung up. Shameful! One day recently, when officers were outside arresting druggies and trying to take care of the issue, the folks at Mama's Hip would not cooperate or even open the door to talk to the police outside when I asked for help. Needles and drugs were stashed in their bushes. Can you not show the police? Really?? Luckily, we were able to get rid of the drug element finally... but it seems that these folks want all the benefits of my trendy, artsy Highlands neighborhood without any of the responsibility. Drugs are an ugly part of our society, but if you ignore it and refuse any positive action and let others take it on as you just stand by--then, you are a part of the problem. Especially at your place of business-- that focuses on babies!?! This is wrong on so many levels. Truly. I would never take children here based on this interaction and observation. I cannot say how the services are.

They also provide a lot of classes like sign language, yoga, etc for moms and babies. They're reasonably priced and pretty awesome. They host new mom groups that are totally free and provide a great way to get out of the house and meet other moms.

Molly was an amazing doula to work with! She really got to know my desires for my 2nd delivery…read moreexperience, my needs, as well my prior delivery experience. I had a C-section (questionable whether it was necessary) with my first, and wished I had an advocate to make sure I was more well-informed in making decisions, and especially to have extra physical & emotional support. I felt her calm & positive energy would transfer well to helping me throughout the delivery. I wanted a natural delivery this time for several reasons. She had assisted several VBAC deliveries in the past. Molly gave us so much knowledge & coached my husband in assisting me throughout the birthing process. She used constant pain management techniques (massage, counter pressure, etc), and various birthing position recommendations when things became difficult or I wasn't progressing. She also helped me stay focused & relax between contractions. I had intense back labor too, so she worked extremely hard to help me manage the pain. After 21 hours of natural labor, she helped me make a difficult decisions to have an epidural which could've slowed my laboring progress. However, she communicated with the nurses and advocated for me to receive the help I needed to progress, while keeping baby safe of course, and avoid the OR. After 32 hours, plus 2 hours of pushing (which she also offered great emotional & physical support through out), we met our sweet baby girl. I am so grateful we had her honest, compassionate support. We had to make some difficult decisions & were so grateful for her input & support, especially when we had to make the next best choice for the delivery of our baby. She kept in touch with me often throughout my pregnancy, and after delivery, making sure I was doing okay and answering any questions (this was on top of our meetings prior to the birth, and after). She also provided breastfeeding help whenever I needed it. She even managed to take some beautiful photos of labor & delivery as she was able to. They are priceless, and I'm so glad she took them.

With my first child I knew nothing about birth doulas. Molly attended my second and third…read moredeliveries and I can't say enough about the difference that support made for me and my husband. I will always recommend her to anyone I know who is pregnant.

I am a therapist/counselor and when I have a client that needs domestic violence or anger assessments or even court-ordered parenting classes, I am glad to have someone with those skills to refer these clients to. She works with a population of clients that often are angry and don't want services, but Kim is one of the most gentle souls that I know, and she is able to handle them well by her warm and encouraging manner. She is very ethical in her practice and treats her clients with utmost respect. Hats off to this woman and her agency that provides a needed service to the community.

She got very embarrassing by getting off topic bragging about her niece who posed for Playboy when I was counseling alone with her. I was very uncomfortable!!! When I confided in Kim that I had incest with my sister when she was only 12 till she was 16 and messed up her life, Kim just said, "It happens", and offered no other help for my recovery as a predator. I was very disappointed!!! If you take records there for her to copy, it took 2 years for me to get mine back. Instead of copy my records she confiscated them! I even called the Winchester police for advice. Kim is a mess. She calls herself a Christian while she practices Mormonism.
