Abby relates very well to young adults, my daughter said she covered a lot of information, explained it very well and kept the pace right at what she could integrate (given our short timeframe.) She was familiar with both SAT & ACT testing formats and gave her valuable tips which assisted her in raising her ACT score 3 points which put my daughter in scholarship range. I would recommend Abby to any student or parent needing assistance-particulary our experience with math. THANK YOU Abby!

As a tutor, I not only prepare students to reach their academic goals, but also serve as a mentor, helping them to discover their own ability to learn, persevere, and grow. I also provide strategies for academic success beyond high school, focusing on study habits, organization, and personal goal setting. Lessons with me are comprehensive, interactive, and fun. I understand that different learners need different modes of teaching; therefore, I tailor my lessons to students' specific needs. I am experienced in teaching for different modes of learning and learning disabilities. Lastly, I work with the student and their family, keeping parents informed (via weekly email updates) on their child's goals, progress, and homework, as well as our plan for upcoming lessons.

I'm so grateful I finally made the decision because it's made an even bigger difference than I thought possible! NWRC's team is consistent, conscientious, and detailed. They got to know my son (both through their extensive testing, and also by working so closely with him one on one) and due to their, and his, hard work he finally broke through a number of issues he'd be struggling with when it came to reading. He now reads above grade level and is able to experience more success in other areas of his education as a result of finally having strong reading skills. If you're on the fence, just go ahead and enroll. You absolutely will not regret it.

If your first thought is "it's too expensive"- you are not alone. Did we love spending this much money? No- but the quality of instruction at NW reading clinic is really top notch. No amount "regular tutors" were going to help our daughters achievements in the way that Northwest Reading clinic was able to. She progressed significantly in the Time that she worked with Northwest Reading clinic, and we will be doing another few months this summer again to help her further progress. If your child has challenges in reading, run, don't walk, to their website now and get your child evaluated. You will be glad you did. (and our daughter loved both of her tutors Tutors!!!)

Terrible college coaching assistance, basically a giant waste of time. This place basically just…read moretries to lower parents' expectations by saying any top tier college is a "reach" or "lottery," and then doesn't provide any actual effective strategies to game the system. Why would parents drop 10 grand on a service that basically only amounts to hand holding through the admissions process? From the beginning we were told our son should be "realistic" in his expectations, and that it was a waste of time to apply to schools like UCLA or UMich. Well he got into both after we fired these useless grifters. Any kids that get in to the top schools were probably going to get in anyway. I'm paying extra money to give my kid an unfair advantage. It's not like we were looking for Rick Singer, but c'mon.

Not to boast, but my high school teachers were pleased with my writing. University admission officers are not evaluating a class of 30's essays, but faceless pools of applicants numbering in the thousands. Writing in such a way that catches those readers attention is Jodi's bread and butter. On a personal note, she listened to what I wanted from my college experience and gave me every piece of advice I needed in order to gain admittance (with fantastic scholarships to boot!). As any senior applying to multiple colleges will find, you lose yourself in writing dozens of essays explaining how much you love their institution. When I narrowed it down to my Top 2, the choice was clear, but I couldn't see it. Jodi led me through a visualization exercise that clarified the months of work I had done; I confidently made my final choice and could not have been happier with my college experience. College isn't cheap, but it is a crucial investment in your future. College Admission Coach is not cheap either, but it is worth every penny in order to make sure you're presenting your best self to the college of your dreams (and earning valuable scholarships in the process).
