The corridos playing in the background gives this place a locals only vibe. Loved the service and friendly staff. A quick Yelp review led us to Lee's Discount Liquor, which I was initially skeptical about because some places that have "discount" in their name have far from what you would expect to be discount prices...thankfully that was not the case here! Entering the store we were greeted by a friendly employee who inquired if we needed assistance. Being that Hennessy is not my usual drink of choice, I did not know what to expect price wise; sensing my uncertainty, the employee proceeded to show me two options. One was a 750ml bottle discounted to $39.99 and the other was a larger 1.75l bottle that was on sale for $74.99 (normally a whopping $119.99). Since we were headed to a party, I opted for the larger of the two (I must add that the employee was very patient as I contemplated the two). Lee's Discount Liquor truly lives up to it's name, I will definitely make a return visit whenever I'm in North Las Vegas!

I had just sold my old car at CarMax located down the road and my dad requested that we stop by Total Wine & More before I took him home. I decided to go inside with him because I was curious what they had here. He had his eye on a specific type of white wine and thanks to someone here that helped him out, he ended up clearing out all of its' inventory, buying at least six bottles of this specific brand. It was a Riesling white wine but I don't remember the full name of it. He and my mom now have plenty of wine to go through over the next couple of months lol. Here, I thought to myself, I should buy myself a bottle of wine as well. At my dad's suggestion and since I'm a big fan of Chardonnay and other types of white wine, I picked up a Nobilis white wine straight out of Portugal. When I traveled to Europe a couple of years ago, I did a lot of white wine tastings and this is pretty much how my white wine palate peaked. I've yet to visit Portugal, though. I haven't opened this bottle yet, but I already know that I'll like it. Although I don't really frequent Total Wine & More, they have a wide variety of wine and alcohol choices to choose from.

Last night I went to open a bottle of Tres Generation tequila and noticed it did not have the plastic seal on it. Checked the rest of the tequila bottles I had bought and found another bottle without the seal. Went to the store today to exchange them for bottles with the seal. The shift manager wouldn't do anything because I have no receipt. I told her I have the credit card I used to buy the items and asked her to swipe the card so she could see everything I've bought. She stated "Oh, we can't do that our system is from the 80's." So she called her boss who wouldn't do an exchange or anything for me, and from the phone call I could tell her boss kept harping on about no receipt. To which I said its not like I'm trying to get any money or anything like that and if you could swipe my credit card like damn near every other place I shop, you'd see my previous purchases. I will NOT ever step in that store again. I will be taking my business somewhere else!
