If I could give them zero stars I would…read more This business sent 4 dresses, including a made-to-order bridesmaid's dress for my 14yo daughter and 3 other irreplaceable dresses to be worn at my son's wedding (3 weeks away), out their door with another client. This was grossly negligent, and, given their sign stating they will not release items without a yellow slip (which I believe has an item count on it), mind-boggling. How hard is it to cross-check what you grab against the yellow slip the client presents? They sent 5 extra pieces with someone, apparently without noticing or really checking that person's order. Mistake or utter incompetence? I would argue the latter. Rather than apologize to me and my daughter, they became argumentative stating "mistakes happen." In my panic, I explained there would be no way to replace what they sent away. They acted as if I was out of line to be concerned. They did call 2 clients they suspected may have had them, but they refused to pass along my number and request that the people who may have them notify me if they found them. Of note, I did not ask for the name or phone number of these people given their right to privacy. If it were me who had taken home someone else's wedding attire, I would have been happy to ease their mind and would have done so immediately. At the site of my daughter crying, thinking she would not be able to be in my son's wedding (the dress took over 8 weeks to be made and get to us), the male owner barked at her to STOP CRYING . Who does that? She was understandably upset at the idea she would be left out of one of the most important days for our family. Feeling without options and, frankly, not believing they actually knew what happened to my things, I called the police and requested a non-emergency intervention. Unfortunately, there was little the police could do but say I would have to wait to see if they turned up. US Cleaners was callous, rude and refused to accept responsibility or make a real effort to allay our concerns. It felt to me they could not have cared less about the stress they induced. On a bright note, the people who got my clothes brought them back this morning and I have them in my possession. I am sorry to them for the inconvenience US Cleaners caused them.
