I visited the store on…read moreFebruary 22nd to purchase two storm doors and was informed that a installer would need to come to my home for quote. During this visit, I was told that I could get 20% off if I applied for a Lowes credit card. The installer came to my house on the following Tuesday but informed me that he did not measure storm doors and gave me an approximate installation cost of $199.00. I returned to the store on Thursday February 26 to finalize the purchase and apply for the credit card. But the new associate told me that previous Associate had sent the wrong installer for a quote, and they needed to come out again. Also, the new Associate told me that the previous information about the discount was incorrect-it only applied to the first $100,00 of the purchase. This was not explained to me initially. I had to make multiple trips from Bowie to Decatur and rearrange my schedule for the installer come back measure again. I also had trouble with communication, as I didn't hear back from the installer until the following week and I had to take another day off for the remeasurement. I returned back to Lowes in Decatur last Tuesday March 10th, tried to address these issues with the store manager and I was greeted by two managers. She took my information and I was promised a call that never came. Ultimately, I decide to cancel my purchase and went to Home Depot instead. This experience has been quite inconvenient and frustrating, and I hope Lowe's improve their customer experience moving forward from this review.

This is almost always our experience at this McCoys. We prefer to purchase with Marlow Lumber and TH Rogers where the customer service is always outstanding. The only reason we went to McCoys was because the items we needed were not available and we needed them quickly.

Day's Ace deserves the best review I can ever write…read more It's hard for me to accurately capture a more positive business than the people behind the scenes: all of the many employees in getting valuable components for the home and even the work environment; in the truly beginnings, the store was located in close quarters to the Flagship Kroger grocery store, located at Carroll Blvd., and usually the friendly staff tended to a feline, who roamed around the store. It's since moved to the other extreme end of the large parking lot, near the Denton Movie Tavern; the friendliness must have been "Baked in," because going to Day's Ace is like going back into the good old days, when physical problems around the home could easily be resolved by making a quick run to Denton Center.
