My husband and I booked a round trip ticket last night to Blackhawk as a parents night out. The way to black hawk was fine, on time and no issues. Driver told us exactly where pick up was in front of the Isle hotel lobby (we even saw another bus picking up there as we were getting dropped off). Fast forward to 11:10pm, we head back to the pick up location for the 11:25 bus...no show... the valet guy said it was probably canceled, but shouldn't we have received some sort of communication about that?! So we decide to not make a big deal of it, grab some food and wait for the 12:25am bus...we show up at 12:15, and wait and wait as we watch 2 ramblin buses stop, one of the Ramblin drivers even said that the Ace bus was coming right behind. Well we FINALLY see the Ace bus at 12:40am, and instead of heading right at the light towards the Isle, they take a quick left and disappear. We head in to the lobby where the staff tells us that if they turned left that means they were full and won't pick up anymore. WOW okay cool so instead of having the curtesy of letting your customers know that it's full, you just drive the other way to avoid us and keep us waiting in freezing cold temperatures. NOT TO MENTION MY HUSBAND AND I HAD A BABYSITTER WAITING FOR US AS HOME. We ended up getting lucky with a lyft, paid a fortune, and got home at 2am, almost 2 hours later than we told our sitter. We're just fortunate we didn't get stranded in Black Hawk before the winter storm. You bet I will 100% continue to try to get a hold of this company (oh yeah I tried calling at least 50 times, no answer obviously) and get every single penny of my money back. Hands down the worst shuttle company ever. The bus has to swap drivers for safety purposes. Consistently they don't have a driver to swap so the passengers are stuck sitting in Golden waiting to go home. As I type this I've been waiting for over 20 minutes waiting for a new driver with a bus full of people who just want to go home. Not to mention they promised to add wifi to the busses over a year ago...I've never experienced any form wifi on any bus. read more

This was a complete clusterf**k. Do not book from this company. It is a waste of money. We chartered 4 buses for a 200 person group to drive from Denver all the way to east Lansing for a conference at Michigan State University. On the trip there, we had few problems besides the actual buses themselves. The seats are smaller than airline seats, and not as comfortable. No cup holders. Few outlets. Many of the handles and arm rests were missing completely, and on arm rest broke on the way there. Two of the buses air conditioning didn't even work. Besides tailgating and terrible parking, we survived without any harm. On our return trip, things went downhill. In the middle of Iowa, one of our drivers took the wrong exit. Then stopped on the ramp, and decided to back up back towards the interstate. There was a semi coming, so he cut to the right to move to the shoulder and backed the whole bus into a ditch and got it stuck. After the state troopers helped the bus out, we continued on our journey. Once we arrived in Denver, the bus in the lead took a wrong exit and led us around downtown, even though we provided them with an address before we booked the whole trip. The drivers behind the leader were supposed to have radios, but they had not been equipped. Our 19 hour trip turned into over 24 hours on the road. This company has proven to be unprofessional, unsafe, and incompetent. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. IT MAY BE CHEAP BUT IT IS NOT WORTH IT. read more

The rude driver dropped us off in Black Hawk but did not say where the pick up location would be which led to us walking all around the city trying to find the return bus. I'm guessing they don't get many tourists because the driver was certainly not trying to make a great first impression. If you can't drive yourself, my recommendation is that you take a Lyft. Yes, you'll pay five times more for a round trip but it'll be worth it to miss the Ace experience. read more

I could write an entire essay on this business, but I'll keep it short and spare you the time. Let's say you're stranded in Blackhawk and and you need a ride back to Denver. The bus is supposed to show up at 9 p.m. At 9:30, a bus finally pulls up and everyone gets on board, and where do they drop us off at? Arvada. Then we are stranded again and Uber and Lyft are both booked. The bus driver was completely rude about it too, just saying "yeah this is the last stop, I'm done for the night." You can only imagine my frustration at this. I will never give another dollar to this company. I'd rather walk from Blackhawk to Denver in freezing temperatures than ever give a penny to this scam artist company. read more

A friend and I were outside at the bus stop in Blackhawk waiting when our bus blows right by us! Doesn't stop. Very unprofessional company. I called the office and the receptionist said "he was a new driver." Oh, it's okay then. I hope this company does go out of business as it has threatened to do. When the bus doesn't come, I get 2 hours to post negative reviews- so here's one: if you can avoid this company, do so. Instead of organizing another bus, about a dozen people were left stranded downtown on the side of the street. In the snow. No shelter, no apologies, just a full fare charge. read more

There is no communication between drives and dispatch. As an employee that works in Black Hawk a little courtesy would be nice to inform our employers that we are going to be late. Don't usually complain but their service has gone down in last serval years. Buses are always running late and drives don't show up to their shifts & affects the route. I am the head coach for the Evergreen High School Cougars football team. We were attending camp in Gunnison and needed a bus to take 54 players and a couple coaches out to Western State. We contacted numerous bus companies and Ace Express had the best pricing for the 4 day trip we were doing. The rides there and back were excellent. The drivers were professional and we had no issues going there or back. We stopped once on the way there at a McDonald's to feed the team and once on the way back in FairPlay to get some milk shakes after a long hard camp and the drivers were very helpful in getting us in and out of the locations very easily. I would highly recommend Ace Express if you are taking a trip like this. The buses were new, the drivers great, and they were easy to do business with. read more

It great that if you take the wrong bus youll get to the garage where you convienently inconvince dozens of passanagers who had their stuff figured out! Im saying its crap that we had to take a detour to go get some idiot that cost us lots of time very unprofessional in my opionon. Have used this bus numerous times from Bear Valley to Blackhawk. No more! Usually leaves Bear Valley on time....but, a couple times the bus had to stop at their maintenance shop and transfer everyone to another bus due to a mechanical issue. Last Saturday night the return bus from Blackhawk did not show up...then we heard by word of mouth that the bus had broken down and would not be coming. No replacement bus was sent and the next bus to Bear Valley was a 2 hour wait. I requested a refund via their contact info., but never heard a word back. No apology, nothing. This company is obviously run "on a shoestring" budget and customer service is the last priority. Try Ramblin bus service instead of Ace. read more

Well first off it was nearly impossible to find their Thornton pick up point without calling their customer service line which had someone who I asked a question to and cold transfered me to a very rude representative who at least gave me the right information. Then when we left it takes us to another stop point where we have to transfer busses. Busses are obnoxious with the squeaking sounds inside. Then on our ride home on the last bus was not bad but the driver kept driving between the lanes and when you are on a road that only has 2 lanes and a 100 ft drop that is so unacceptable. The driver did that the whole way back then when we arrived at the same point where we transferred before we got off expecting to transfer to another shuttle but there was no shuttle. Just barely stopped the driver from leaving. And when I asked him if there was another shuttle he picked up a very rude tone of voice with me and waved for me to get back on. I had never ridden with this service before so how would I understand there schedule when it does not clearly state anything on their online schedule. If there is another service to get you to black hawk or central city use them instead. I don't understand how this was the first company to appear on google and I will only use this company in the future if I have no other choice. read more

When the bus had the Bear Valley route, it was the only bus to ride if you lived in Centennial. Now it's discontinued again! When are the folks who live south ever getting a break! Although I had issues with a driver & swore I'd never ride again, when it's snowing I use it. The issue with the driver was I had my preprinted ticket & paid $20 he was refusing to let me on as I apparently did not push a button for the scan to print, although the Ace logo was on the ticket,that it was paid for thru my credit card & even had a confirmation number! So an arguement ensued & he pointed the camera @ me & told me he was recording me. I told him I don't care. Call the police if you want. Well I ended up paying another $25. So now the trip cost me $45. I immediately called the "person in charge" but I got lucky. He refunded my $20 & actually sent me one free ticket! So, OK, I'll ride again if it snows,well forget that! Now there's NO Bear Valley bus! I guess whoever lives in the south suburbs is just out of luck! read more

Terrible, the can be late, and they don't notify anyone, and if you call yo ask, they have no idea where the bus is, and all they say is 10 more mins. When in fact u can wait another additional hour or more for the bus. And if you get in the bus and is shift change, it can take an additional hour to get back to the base, 4:00am and they stop to change driver, and turn all the lights on for no reason, instead of letting the passenger sleep so they don't have to notice the shift change, in which you will take a trio to their main office and sometimes the drivers can talk and talk like the passengers doenst matter to them. They should fine a more effective way to change shifts than to make the passengers suffer for it. Another day as we waited for the bus, they keep telling us that the bus was arriving in 10 mins, which actually took 35 mins, and the bus didn't leave until the next 25 mins. Unreliable service, the buses can breakdown and you have to switch bus or wait to be rescue by the next bus, unaceptable. read more
