They will not offer any specific information about what type of interest rates they apply so be sure to ask. I've paid off two loans with them and never had a problem with the interest rates. However, beware of this rule of 78 interest rate they choose to use, apparently when you have higher loan amounts. This rule seems to be mainly used by crooked lenders because it totally benefits them to make a larger profit. They will not tell you about this rule until you realize that your payments aren't reducing some of your principle. This rule of 78 allows them to take the interest first, as opposed to how simple interest rates operate. Had this particular rule been explained, I would've passed on it. This is a tactic they use so ask and get their response in writing. I'm going to be completely transparent about my experience so that others won't fall victim to this scheme. The two people I've dealt with at this particular location: Morgan and Michael, are very dishonest, misleading, deceptive and operate with no sense of integrity or ethics. Their credibility had been compromised when I learned they weren't fully truthful when originating my loan. Morgan tried to make me enroll into automatic withdrawals by telling me it was required for the amount of money I borrowed. I said, if it were required, as you say, why does the form I'm reading say, I can opt out? No reply from her. As a branch manager, Michael failed to explain this rule of 78 prior to my signing as his manager said should've been done. Speaking from experience, please avoid this place. I borrowed $11,000.00 and they have me owing them $25,000.00. RIDICULOUS!!! To payoff, it will be $12,600 and that's exactly what I'm going to do next week once they remove these hideous insurance fees lying Morgan told me I needed - (life insurance for the loan, property insurance for collateral and THEIR full coverage auto insurance). If you have your own insurances, it will suffice. This is about $3,000 additional they charged me that will be reduced. When I spoke to Brittany, the regional manager, she explicitly said that those insurance services were optional except full coverage which I already have on all of our vehicles. PLEASE, PLEASE stay away from this company. They are not here to benefit you, they are designed to keep you in financial distress and bondage. I will absolutely never do business with them again. Before you do business with any lender, ASK THEM IF THEY APPLY THE RULE OF 78 or SIMPLE INTEREST. I'll come back and post the payoff and show you how they do business.
