Was going to purchase a new 2026 Silverardo that cost $38,000 with $4000 rebates and $10,000 cash down from my hip pocket. The MSRP on the truck was around $44,000. So, this truck was one of the least expensive that you can buy. Have been on a federal government job for 25 plus years, make three figures, lived in the same house with a mortgage for 16 years, no bankruptcy, no tax liens, no charge offs etc. They come back with a rate of 5% which is too high but the rub was that they wanted proof of income. Have financed four vehicle loans in my life and NEVER provided proof of income. I told to stick their loan up their arse. I am not some bog.

I called Orion FCU and sat on hold for 21 minutes the first time and 16 minutes the second time, all for her to say she can't access my account "call back in 20 minutes." It's Friday, they close in 40 minutes. So if it isn't fixed, then what? This is really sad. No text, no social media post, nothing to let individuals know if there is an issue. I am closing this account on Monday when they open and I am recommending to everyone to do the same.
