We tried to switch our home and auto with the help of Heather Winters only to find out she is a liar and thief. We provided everything she ask for and after weeks of going back and forth she tells us they cannot cover our home because it is a modular / manufactured home. I do think that's discrimination but just figured we would go somewhere else that actually wanted the business. She couldn't even be professional enough to call, instead she sends an email with some BS. Then I get an email saying they would refund the full amount. Now she says no refund. This crook took our money and provided no services whatsoever. I will file a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance and speak with our attorney. I hope everyone avoids this lazy woman and this crooked company.

I went with Linder somewhere around 4 years ago and recently changed. First of all, the comments…read moreabout Rachael are true. She's great. I'll describe the rest of my experience and the reason for the one star rating. I had been with State Farm for probably 20 years but they kept getting worse and worse and I finally decided to make a change. Geoff Linder was recommended to me and he placed me with Erie. I had two claims with Erie, one with an uninsured motorist who caused an accident and then fled the scene when my wife was driving. The other was where my wife scratched the car on our mailbox lid. Erie was great to work with and let me take my car where I wanted to get it repaired. A couple of months ago, I got a call from Rachael saying the agency had decided not to carry Erie any longer. I told her that I really liked Erie and would probably like to stay with Erie but of course I'd be glad to consider a quote from Linder. I contacted Mark Peacock, who is an independent agent who carries Erie for a quote. Mark told me that Erie considered to policy as belonging to the agent not the insured and that I would have to get Geoff Linder to transfer the policy to carry my discounts and my rate lock over. I didn't think that would be a problem since Linder had decided not to carry Erie any longer per Rachael. Geoff and I talked and he refused to transfer the policy. He also told me that Erie had canceled all of their policies, which was true I'm sure, but I thought kind of a deceptive way to put it. I'm sure Erie did cancel all their policies after Linder decided not to carry them any longer. At any rate Erie has agreed to write my policy through Peacock when my policy through Linder ends so it's obvious that they didn't make a blanket decision to cancel all the policies for something the insured did. It's going to cost me money though ONLY because Linder wouldn't transfer my policy. So, I'm being penalized for a decision Linder agency made. Mark Peacock limited the damage a little bit by making a few smart moves, such as pointing out that I only needed rental car coverage on our road trip car since I have 4 cars anyway. He also did a nice job of explaining my coverage to me, which I never really got from Linder.

Moreover they also give you incentives for the years you have been with the insurance company, good driving records, and usage of device gadgets through the insurance company that could decrease your bundle price. I have even purchased my life insurance through them so I am a one stop shop. It's actually really nice to be able to have all of these perks available within one insurance company.
