Triton Roofing & Restoration - Just one of the many roofing shingles left in my attic

Recently, I went into my attic to take down some boxes and found large pieces of shingles throughout my attic. I called the company and was told to take pictures and sign some form before they would take care of that. I complied on Feb 9th and yet I still have not been able to get the issue resolved. The ownerm Chris Malone and the Project Mgr Ryan Marlow have ignored my calls. I spoke with someone on the 21st who said he was the Director and he said he would call back and yet he has not. This is UNSAT!! Chris was willing to talk to me when he was trying to get my business and now he is ghosting me.

If you decide to use Triton roofing that is up to you. I can only tell you my experience (which was…read moreless than stellar). This is quite long but you need details for context. Our salesman, we'll just use his initials KH, gave us a lengthy sales pitch & quote. My wife mentioned that we had a roof replaced on another house not long ago and the contractor overestimated the shingles and charged us for them but then took the shingles when the job was complete KH assured us, we would be "credited" for any extra shingles. We were able to negotiate the price a bit since we had a few previous quotes and felt comfortable with the price and product so signed the contract. I will say that KH did mention that the first two sheets of plywood would be included but anything above that would be at a charge. That is the only additional charges that were discussed. The installation was uneventful and I was able to observe the entire thing since it was done in one day. There were a few minor issues with the ridge vent, a torn shingle, and such but they were able to come back quickly and fix it. So, the roof itself isn't my issue, it's the way that they try to add additional costs. I got a call from KH and he said they used 5 sheets of plywood and I would need to pay for the additional 3 sheets. I told him I watched the entire installation and there is no way they used 5. He went on to tell me he had receipts and photos to prove it and sent me a photo of my roof that shows a different colored sheet of plywood on the front that he claimed was new. I was taking pictures myself during the installation and was able to show him where that odd colored piece of plywood was already there when they were tearing off my old roof. Eventually I was able to talk to the crew that was on site and verified that I actually only used a total of 3 sheets not 5. KH never did show me the receipt he said he had. Now it's time to pay the balance of the contract and KH informs me that we owe for "double felt" removal. He showed me a picture of my roof and we did have double felt under the shingles but it was NEVER disclosed that this may be a charge. However, now that he wasn't getting the additional money for the plywood, suddenly this is the first I'm hearing about this charge. What choice did I have now? Of course, I'm getting a bit upset because I feel he is trying to pull extra money from me when this roof is already costing me a small fortune (insurance is not paying for this). He said I am trying to take money out of his pocket since he works on commission. He works on commission? Maybe that explains everything. We had seven bundles of shingles left over so, we told KH that they were on the side of the house and someone could come pick them up and the credit should more than cover the cost of the felt removal. He said he would send someone out to get them. I told him I would pay the final invoice once the shingles were picked up and the final total was reached. After I got the final bill, the total had not changed. Several exchanges with the office staff and finally the owner got me a "consolation" of $100 off. No apology for their salesman trying to run up my bill only a statement saying that they don't buy back shingles and he shouldn't have told me that. In fact, they didn't offer anything until I proved that he said that by sending the owner text showing where he did. Again, this is just my experience, yours may be better. My assumption is that they are used to dealing with people paying through insurance so they can pad the bill and the owner either doesn't know or doesn't care. I mean we're talking about $100 on a $23,000 roof. I was not looking for a free ride just to pay what was on my bill and not extra's that I did not get. Honesty goes a long way with me.

Our new favorite…read more Coming from a larger international city with a huge selection of asian mega-grocery stores, we've been pretty disappointed by the options in this area. We've tried a couple of the local shops over the years and were mostly turned off. But recently, when we got a hankering for some homemade curries, marinades, stir fries, and such, we went on the hunt for something better and finally stumbled on Dinosaur. They aren't really "supermarket" huge, but far larger then the shops we've tried in the area. Plenty of shelf staples from a variety of cuisines, at decent prices. And a good selection of meats and produce that you won't find in the Winn-Dixies, Publixes, or Whole Foods in the area, and you can't simply order shipped from Amazon. As a "foody tourist" in a shop like this, I'm not entirely self sufficient. I can tell my galangal from my ginger, and my choy sum from my bok choy, but I still get lost trying to find or identify some things. The shopkeeper there keeps busy managing her store, and I don't expect her to play "tour guide," but she does try to be helpful and work past the language barrier when I come up with questions. The place is clean and pretty well organized considering the wide variety of foods and countries that are represented. A gold mine of exotic foods we can't find anywhere else.

After many times of simply forgetting or being lazy we decided to take a trip over to St.Augustine Road. From the outside, the place is huge. I really wasn't fond of the one-way in, one-way out parking lot as I initially missed the first entrance, but once I got in and parked on the other side of the building, I was excited to see what treasures I could find. Once you walk in you can see that it isn't as big as how it looked on the outside, but they have TONS of stuff. On this particular day, they had 40% red tags so I got to searchin'. My boyfriend kinda wondered around the perimeter of the store, but I think he's particular about his clothing so he was done looking way before I was and kinda followed me around. I spent most of my time searching the women's tops, all organized by color but walked away with nothing. I'll check this place out again some day since they get new stuff all the time.

Then why work there. Also asked if the could donate any toiletries to my church for a program for the homeless and he was a complete and utterly unprofessional person. I avoid this place because it's corporate greed at it's best.

As for Dollar Tree specifically, I was impressed here too! This is a rare DT store to have an entire organization rack/shelving unit devoted to tee shirts! Every other DT store I've visited--many--have all the shirts jumbled in one big bin, or sometimes on hangers, but disorganized in both cases. This DT not only had colors and sizes sorted by compartment, but they were neatly folded and wow, it was great! It saves shoppers so much time not having to dig, and also if you only have one hand because you're carrying other purchases. They were well-stocked all over the store; no boxes out or "reorganization" mess in the aisles. Great variety and availability of all the staples, and lots of fun novelties. Not every DT has a clearance section, and many stores only put broken items (that ought to be throw out) in clearance, but this store had a bunch of overstock items there, perfectly good condition. I grabbed some plastic plates for my preschooler because I needed more while on vacation. Great store! Probably the best DT in Jacksonville! Just give yourself time to check out the other stores in the strip as well, it's worth it!

I don't know what's happening with the staff here but they are out of control. There's literally one woman every time I come in here he's rude and nasty to somebody. I won't be shopping here anymore and I'm going to call corporate as well I've held my tongue as long as. But you're not going to sit with an attitude hand on the hip arguing with me telling me I have to hand you something cuz you're the one bagging my items that I'm purchasing. Sorry there is no periods or commas I'm not sure why I won't let me edit the grammar.. corporate needs to figure out what's going on over here.
