Twice now I've had layaways put back out for sale when I've been told that I would receive a call before that would happen. I end up calling in to find out that the items I have been paying for have been put out for sale and then sold, so I not only lose out on the items I wanted but also the hundreds of dollars I have put towards them. When I ask why I didn't receive a call, I am told that it is just a courtesy and they make the calls 85% of the time. Aparrently I am just in the unlucky 15%

Never a good business practice to talk over customers to "banksplain". Understand that with this CU, they will aggressively seek your money for CDs and other investment vehicles and at the end of your term (26 months in my case) you will be notified (by mail, in 8 pt font) that you have 10 days to renew, switch, transfer, or withdraw your money. Understand that 10 days is NOT business days and does not consider holidays (New Years Day). Ok fine. Your money will be rolled into another CD. If you call 7 business days (11 calendar days) sorry, you will be penalized HEAVILY (nearly $800 in my case). You have no one to speak to that will listen to your grievance including 3 receptionist/tellers. When you ask to speak to Megan (the "manager") you will leave 3 voice messages and she still will not call you. You will have to keep calling until they get frustrated enough to take your call. The customer is NOT always right, but should be listened to and taken seriously. Especially when money is involved. DO NOT TRUST Northern Colorado CU with your money.
