I went today to cash my check from work and the lady at the counter was nice she called her boss to get approval to cash my check since it was a significant amount. Her boss said he "didn't feel like cashing my check today" ‍‍ how ridiculous is that. You never know why or what someone needed their money for. Do NOT patronize this business. It's been a few years since I used a place other than my bank to cash a check. But I do remember they charged 1% fee and with a valid ID, they would cash your check and you'd be on your way within a couple of minutes. Not so with "ACE Cash Express". I went in with a check, drawn from a local bank, and my ID. I had to fill out a membership form (they're interested in things like your employer, income, paydays, references with phone #'s, etc.. just to cash a check drawn on a local bank). Once your membership form is completed and submitted, they have to enter the info. into their system. Next, they will call the company who issued your check to make sure you're not a criminal, and then hit you with a 5% fee for cashing the check along with the membership fee - 9 dollars. This place takes a chunk from your check, and the experience will last no less than 20 minutes. "Ace Cash Express", indeed. read more

I came in to apply for a loan but didn't get approved for the amount I was needing so I told them I wasn't going to follow through with it they had me sign a paper saying I wasn't getting it and then left and got a loan somewhere else. Now weeks later they are saying I owe a payment for a loan I never received and I've already talked to the store and the general manager, Mr.Jackson, and no one is wanting to resolve it. I was forced to give the one star just to write this... Not happy about that. Terrible Customer Service. Example of what's wrong with society. I had a horrible experience here. Set Up a flare account with them never received the first card, physically went into this location to order another one and was charged to do so. 3 weeks later card Never came. Fast forward to today card expires at 4 IN THE AFTERNOON, about an hour after ordering lunch. Had to call customer service to figure out why after putting everything back at the store knowing I had the money to pay for the items. Rush Ace on Burnet Rd to get a new temp card and after waiting 40 minutes cashier is very dismissive, and pretended to call flare's customer service. Told me it was closed. She started laughing at my serious situation as if to belittle me in some fashion. So I called customer service as I left and boom, they pick up. so I turn back into the lot with them on the phone not even 5 minutes later and the cashier locks the door smiling and laughing and does the sliced throat gesture at me I guess signaling that they were closed. Unprofessional and petty. I don't like big banks but this shiesty place was thee worst experience in a financial environment I've ever been through. Do not walk through their doors unless your just used to shitty service and people. I feel sorry for her family she's probably got some off spring. read more
