I needed to have my young daughter picked up an returned to home for an occasion where I was unavailable to drive her myself. I phoned the dispatch of this company and spoke to a guy named Tim Webber. He assured me that he would take special care of my daughter and get her there on time and then home safely. They were wonderful! They were waiting when she came out on both trips and my daughter mentioned that the driver was very pleasent with her and she felt safe. Absolutely terrible. I would have given them no stars because one is just too generous. We called the cab company and we were told that it would come within the hour and we waited for two! It still hasn't come and then we saw a cab that was waiting outside our house so my boyfriend went over to ask if they were waiting for us. The cab driver didn't say anything and just drove off. I'm pretty sure it was our taxi since this is the only company here and it was right in front of our house. Totally unreliable. Be careful if you are planning to go out on the town. Even with Ontario's strict messages of not drinking and driving, ace cabs will put you in a corner if you choose them as a plan b. read more

We are a charity that is a resource and support Centre for individuals with diverse disabilities. We planned an outing for some of our consumers to see the Barrie Colts on Saturday, October 12th. Because there were 12 consumers and a couple of volunteers, we needed an affordable bus and one that could accommodate someone with a wheelchair. After a number of calls to various companies, some local and some not, we were unable to find suitable transportation for that date. We decided to try Ace Transportation in the hope they had something that could work and of course be affordable. Time was running out with the game only days away. We knew we were running the risk of having to cancel this special outing. The GM, Shane MacLaughlan was amazing. He not only found suitable and affordable transportation but he treated our consumers to an Executive Coach Bus. To fully understand how special this was, our consumers do not have many opportunities in their life to feel extra special but on that day, as they entered a luxury bus for their trip to Barrie, they felt special and important. Ace Transportation even had bottles of cold water for every passenger. Thank you Shane and your team for making this happen with such short notice. You put huge smiles on our consumer's faces and certainly made us aware that Ace Transportation will go the extra mile to give you the best experience possible. I haven't had much trouble with Ace Cabs, except when the Elvis Festival is on and it's almost impossible to get one! I've only used them within Collingwood. Usually they come within 10-15 minutes. All the drivers have been polite and helpful. Since I don't drive I have to take the bus or call a cab, or walk. I have found them to be reliable. read more

Ace Cab was great! Picked us up at crazy busy Blue Mountain Village on time and exactly where we asked the driver to meet us. We dropped a cell phone in the cab and Shane went above and beyond to ship it back to us in Buffalo. We will use Ace on our next visit this summer! read more

I'm so fed up with ace cabs I can't for the life of me figure out why such a profitable company can't get their shit straight. Every bloody time I call this service something happens, either I wait 45 minutes to get picked up, or they don't answer their phone for over half an hour. Every time I ask for booster seat they forget every single time. Come on ace you're not curing cancer! Such bullshit I have to wait an hour to go 10 minutes up the road. Can't walk with my months supply of groceries. No one ever seems apologetic when I do complain offering to comp my fare has never once been offered. Brutal. Called a cab and it took half an hour. We didn't wait outside because it was - 30. When we finally saw him outside we said goodbye to friends and as we started heading to the door he pulled away. We called for another cab and they asked me, "didn't you already call?" I said we did and we missed it. The woman sighed and reluctantly sent another cab. I guess they sent the same guy because he was very short and rude with us. They made us feel like using them was an inconvenience. Use another cab service if you can. read more

Horrible, horrible company. They advertise they service the Georgian Triangle but they don't. Driver arrived on time and drove me less than 6km and then told me it was a $58 flat rate. Wasn't told that on the phone when I booked so I asked to speak to dispatcher. Apparently if you want to go anywhere other than from Collingwood to Collingwood they charge exorbitant flat rate to compensate for driving from Collingwood to get you. Two things, tell customer in advance and don't advertise that you serve entire area if you really are only a Collingwood taxi company given that 90% of fare will be to Blue Mountain area not Collingwood. read more

Conpany in my opinion has not improved as far as the app goes. Still takes forever to even have a cab assigned to you regardless of day or time(avg of 15-30 minutes most days), its normally a cab out in no mans land as well even though on the app you can see (x) amount of cabs all just sitting around (lazy drivers in my opinion) countless times ive called saying "look, been waiting 30+minutes i see the cabs that are vacant why are they not picking the fare" it shouldnt be up to the customer to do the companies job. As always the company says hands down the app is the fastest way to get a cab. That is not true by any means. Lastly, I've had more then a fare share of drivers who finally decide that they will take my pick up. Only to then decide to cancel on me. Im sure its frustrating for drivers to see the customer cancel on them as there on the way, well its equally frustrating for the customer too. read more
