My neighbour seems really happy with their service however that is not why I chose to write this review. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and never have a had a team be so incredibly courteous. No matter who you are talking to they are friendly and accommodating. All the neighbours have been talking and this feeling is universal. Just a small example, they are working in our driveway and have fencing around the whole. Our door is down the driveway and I asked that when they are done for the day they make sure to push the fence away from our house so that my wife can get the stroller down the driveway even if no one is there to help. They were totally understanding and every single day since the fencing has been pushed back. The organizational culture of service is truly incredible. Kudos to everyone there.

Unfortunately we are extremely dissatisfied with the sealing job Canark did on our driveway. When…read morewe originally phoned to request a quote, the office told us that the quote included blowing, cleaning, and filling/repairing any existing cracks on the drive prior to applying the sealer. The tech, when he arrived, told us that the drive was in excellent condition and had clearly been well maintained, and no crack sealing was needed. He applied the sealant on the drive and the next day the sealant started to crack all over the drive. We contacted the office, and they replied the next day that they would have someone come to look at it. After repeated texts, emails and phone calls, eventually the same tech came around and said it was pre-existing cracks in the drive that had surfaced after the sealant had been applied, and nothing to do with the application of the sealant. He then stormed off and sat in his truck, leaving his assistant to talk to us before driving off. Now in our understanding, driveway sealing is supposed to seal the drive to prevent moisture from eroding the asphalt in winter. Hence our concern over the number of hairline cracks appearing all over the drive, which implies that the sealant has not sealed the drive properly at all. The cracks continue to grow in the surface of the sealant, not in the underlying drive. Rory told us he would come and take a look himself, asked about our availability, but did not turn up. They do not respond to our emails, texts or calls. They promise on their website, satisfaction guaranteed. We are not even slightly satisfied, and they could not care less. This is clearly not a reputable company, as they do not stand by their guarantee, and are now ghosting us.

Embrun Concrete poured the concrete for our entire new home in late summer of 2018. 3 months after…read morethey poured the concrete our porch cracked. Millions of cracks. Not just little cracks. Cracks that went all around our wrap around porch. We panicked. Called the company. After at many voicemails and many emails they finally called us back. Told us to wait the winter out and they would check it out in the spring. March 2019 rolled around and we started calling and emails again looking for them to at least check this out. Again a million voicemails and emails.. finally the owner (Dave) came to check it out. This was not spring.. but August 2019. It took him this long to check out an issue. A year after it had been poured! He was a bit caught of guard. His reply was "I have never seen anything like this" when he seen the porch. No kidding! Took a video and once again told us to wait it out see what happens after the winter! Winter of 2019 came and went. We organized a meeting with our contractor and Embrun concrete onsite March 2020. Once again nothing resolved. Said he'd talk with the concrete mix company and get back to us. No returned call.. So we left messages and sent emails.. Now the owner is telling us cracks are "normal". Our porch on our new home is not normal! If I could attach a pic to this review i would. Even he thought it was not normal 1 year ago. It's only now normal because this company does not stand by their work! If they did, they would have not ran from us. They would have tried to help us resolve this issue! Highly unrecommended company!
