Super fast service to get my dishwasher fixed. The technician was speedy and professional and…read morecontacted me on the morning of appointment to confirm time of arrival. My only complaint is it was very expensive for a very easy fix! Our dishwasher hose under the sink was clogged with a few rubber feet from our glass trivets. At least I learned a few things! 1. never put glass trivets with rubber feet in dishwasher. The 'food catcher' will not catch them! 2. If your dishwasher is not working as expected and is not draining, check the hose under the sink for clogs!

0/5- terrible work, absurd delays and no accountability- AVOID Totem!…read more After five weeks, nearly $1,000 spent, and countless hours wasted, our appliance is still completely broken. Initially, they charged a $167 diagnostic fee and a $663 parts prepayment, promising a 10-day fix. Instead, they sat on my money for over a week before ordering the parts. When I called to check in, staff were incredibly rude and blamed me for the delay. Four weeks later, a technician finally installed the parts and left without testing them. I paid another $143--bringing the total to $973--but the machine failed immediately. The technician visited a week later (for the third time) and admitted he didn't know how to fix it. Management has completely ignored my requests to speak with them. They eventually promised a refund (minus the diagnostic fee) but have provided no written confirmation or money. Totem defaulted on every promise. Save your resources and avoid them entirely.

Water poured off the roof, through some downspouts and into the stairwell that leads into the basement suite of our house, which we rent to a tenant. The water went right under the door and soaked the living-room carpet of the suite. We didn't notice that this had happened until a few days later because our tenant happened to be away then and we also went away on the early morning after the storm. I tried to find some companies via Yelp that were qualified and able to come ASAP to assess and mitigate the damage. I ended up speaking with Aaron on the phone who was able to come immediately to assess the damage and give us an estimate. We asked him to start right away, which he was able to do and we were informed every step of the way by frequent text messages in which he answered all our questions as things progressed. He also made every effort to save us money by salvaging carpet and baseboard that could be dried out satisfactorily rather than replacing everything. Considering the scope of the work that was done we felt that the price was very fair. We would definitely call on Carpeteer for any future related work that we need to have done.

Move out cleaning job. Jackie, Yani & Janeth did a great job! Will def use them again.read more

I've never had to write a negative review until now, but my recent experience with their move-out…read morecleaning service and my subsequent attempt to address the issue with them were completely unacceptable. I feel compelled to share my experience. Based on my research prior to booking, I understood that professional move-out cleaning should encompass a thorough cleaning of every nook and cranny in your home or apartment. This typically includes sanitizing high-traffic surfaces in the bathrooms and kitchen, cleaning all windows, deep cleaning cabinets, drawers, countertops, and appliances. All with the end goal of smooth move-out inspection and transition. However, the cleaning team missed an entire cabinet, which was left in the same condition as when we vacated (see pic 1). They also neglected to clean the interior windows, the patio door, and even the balcony (see pic 2). These areas are considered accessible per strata bylaws therefore must be cleaned before moving out. We paid a premium for their carpet steam cleaning service, but the results were disappointing. Not only were there dust and dirt left in the corners of the room, but they were also visibly present on the front surface of the carpets (see pic 3). When we messaged them to raise this issue, their response was shockingly dismissive: "place in unlivable condition, 7 garbage bags, no touch-ups." They even attached a photo from their cleaning, apparently thinking it justified their poor job. It's important to note that their services were paid by the hour, not by the amount of garbage bags used throughout the cleaning -- which summed up to an excessive $600 + tips for 3 hours of cleaning. At the very least, they should consider removing the line "No matter the type of building or business, or size of the mess, we can help" from their website because apparently, handling 7 garbage bags for a move-out cleaning is beyond their capabilities. I also need to mention that they've left the garbage bags inside the unit -- and I was the one who at the end had to dispose of them myself. Lastly, all of these were contained in the kitchen area and by no means rendered the place unlivable. I've attached the picture they sent us when they referred to our place as "unlivable" (see pic 4), allowing you to judge for yourself if that's truly the case. Also, this issue has nothing to do with the poor steam carpet cleaning and their overall lack of attention to detail in other parts of the unit. We're absolutely displeased with their horrible communication and apparent lack of concern. In the end, we booked another cleaning company that did a far superior job at a fraction of the price, leaving us satisfied. For these reasons, I cannot, in good conscience, give them more than 1 star. We aren't happy. They've left us with more frustration than cleanliness, and my money would have been better spent elsewhere.
