If the job doesn't go right, they don't want to know. - 'Accurate plastering' skimmed 2 rooms & a hallway for me. I prepared the walls, stripping the wallpaper & paint, & applied diluted PVA myself. My walls are rendered brick, for the first room I wetted the previously PVA'd walls down with a wallpaper brush and a bucket of water so they were damp when the plasters arrived, believing this to be a good idea as it was warm dry weather, and Dave seemed to think it was a good idea when he saw it, but now has changed his tune. After skimming the walls badly crazed within hours in a mosaic pattern such that when I painted a small test piece you can see the cracks through the paint, and many small pieces of skim have fallen out leaving holes shallow holes. Jamie & Scott not Dave returned to do the hall & 2nd room which went well, the 2nd room is now painted and looks great. But as to the crazing, after initially telling me not to worry he would sort it out, Dave has been ignoring my calls. I managed to contact him by not calling on my usual number, and Dave blamed me for not PVA'ing properly when he is meant to be the expert not me, he had a choice of 3 rooms, if he didn't think it was right he should have said. He said he would come round on the Saturday to have a look anyway, I stayed in all day, but he didn't show leaving me feeling quite angry. Thus I could not recommend that you use them. read more
