Jason worked totally independently and was able to bring the vision we had for our small bathroom to fruition. Quality touches that I didn't expect were sprinkled throughout and the end result is 100% topnotch. Plus his post-job clean-up was above and beyond. I'd highly recommend him for any kind of remodel.

There was also several sheets of ply wood that were not painted on another Gable. On the final day of the roofing project, Kolton assured me that everything was fine and there were no problems. He asked for the final payment and I gave it to him. The next day, I happened to look up and saw what I described in the photos. I immediately sent these photos and a texted message for Kolton to call me. After one day, I did not get a response to my text so I called Kolton and left a message to call me. By the third day after getting no response from Kolton, I sent him an email stating that I was giving him formal notice to respond and if I didn't hear from him I would file a complaint with the proper agencies. Several hours later that day, Kolton called me but not for the photos I sent him but regarding our request for a receipt, for all the money we gave him. He said he had just emailed a copy of the receipt for the final payment but I told him that I needed a receipt for the entire cost and not just the final payment. He promised that he would do it. I then asked him about the photos I sent him. He initially didn't want to do anything but finally agreed to repair the damaged Rake Board and paint the exposed areas. On the day Kolton came to paint and repair the Rake Board, he told us that he was not responsible for painting and only reroofing. He didn't seem happy but did it anyway. We understood that he wasn't responsible for painting but considering how much we had paid him shouldn't he have told us there were areas that needed repair and painting? The contract that we signed states that "Contractor agrees to undertake the Work diligently in a good and workman like manner and shall ensure that the work is executed in a manner consistent with good quality industry standards and practices" ," in compliance with any applicable Building Code". We worry that if Kolton wasn't going to tell us about the unpainted ply wood and Rake Board, what other things are there that we don't know about. During the entire time of the reroofing, we didn't know what days the workers would be coming or when the project might be completed. It would have been less stressful if Kolton would have. replied to our text and phone calls during this time. We are in our seventies and have never experienced this type of behavior in all our years dealing with contractors.

Being gravel it has made finding all of the nails difficult. Not so, the guys working for Tracy's Insulation. Simply on the basis of their carelessness I would not recommend them.

A neighbor recommended Alpha Builders so highly that I finally called. Owner Ken arrived on time and took so many measurements it surprised me. He explained he did that to be certain I'd get the right size unit for the house. Ken also talked with me about how heat pumps work, and helped me select the best installation location. And, bonus for me, the Alpha office staff pulled together the paperwork to apply for a government rebate because heat pumps are energy efficient. All I had to do was sign the forms! Jay installed the new system quickly and was proud of his work. His attention to detail was obvious. Best yet, when he was done he completely cleaned up, both inside and out. You'd never know he'd been there. A few days later the city inspector arrived and asked who did the installation. When I told him "Alpha," he smiled and said, "oh good - their heat pumps always pass inspection." And so it did. I have now recommended Alpha to others, who are as satisfied as I am. We all appreciate the professionalism and high quality of work. There is no doubt to me that Ken is honest - and he's built integrity into his company.
