Since I cannot take any NSAIDS and am resistant to opiates, this little device has enabled me to do more than I have in 25+ years! There are even times I can turn it off for a day or so!! Now I am working on getting approved for a second implant to go up into my neck helping me exist with obliterated shoulders, torn biceps, carpal tunnel which has returned after three surgeries, etc. I cannot say enough about Dr's Belmonte and Lee. I had ACL revision in my knee in 2002. Trying to avoid surgery. It would be $6500 for both knees since insurance companies don't cover it, even if I was in network. My original evaluation went well and I was looking forward with moving forward. Back to the drawing board. They really need to get the insurance squared away before making appointments. Edit: As far as transparency goes, another clinic verify insurance from the start. I had the consultation on a Thursday and when I returned on Monday for PT I was not informed that I was not in network until I questioned the higher copay. I should have been contacted by them once they knew I was not in network. One of the doctors commented about covered injections I would be paying out of pocket. I'm reaching out to another similar company and they will check on coverage from the start.

They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them.
