I'm from California where I'm used to people being rude and nasty,mean and impatient and intolerant, Judgmental etc. I have visited Nevada Pahrump area three times and just made the move from California to Pahrump within this last week. It's been a very stressful time, we are staying with my brother who is a family of six and I am a family of four. If you have bad credit they are not willing to help you at all, which blows my mind because I thought that that was their job, to help people find a place to live. We are even willing to pay a years rent in advance, my husband landed a great job not even a day after moving here delivering water to the mining area. So even if the rent was $1800, even $2000, he makes three times that if not more. I have an excellent 11 year rental history never missed a rent payment in that time. But yet these people will not help us find a place to live with me my husband and my two children... because covid screwed us up.. we messed up our credit! Didn't realize that made us unworthy people to help! Oh and let me add that the gentleman at the front desk is the rudest person I have dealt with since moving to Nevada! He made me feel less than a human being and I walked out of there in tears... read more

Agent Walt Turner from Access Realty is a AMAZING and WONDERFUL man you can ever meet. It was our first time buying a home. We pretty much knew nothing about buying a house but one thong. We wanted to live in middle of nowhere. Walt drove 3hours every time he had to go to the location we choose without complaints. The worst experience with them. When we moved into our apartment, it was not cleaned and smelt of dog. (We do not have a dog) When we moved in, I vacuumed and had huge fur balls clog the vacuum. In the small yard, which is all rock, there was a ton of dog poop. We called and complained because we do not have pets, and they said they would send someone out to clean it, it took over 3 weeks. We ended up adding dirt to the back yard ourselves to cover all the dog feces. Light switches and plug covers were not even drilled into the wall, which we did not notice when we did the walk through. On top of that, they did not let us right our own walk through review. They wrote it, so I wouldn't be surprised if everything was contained in it. One of the kitchen cabinets was not even screwed in and eventually fell off. When we moved in, we were charged a full months rent for only the last 6 days of the month, and then had to pay again (on top of the deposits) less than a week. When they finally sent someone to clean the house, they replaced all of the rug with laminate. After only a month, the laminate started to peel up in certain areas. We used a swifter and not a mop, again not our fault they do half butt jobs. Then, they tried to charge us over $2k for the replacement of the carpet!!! It was not our fault that they did not hire a cleaning company to clean before we moved in. When major appliances needed to be replaced, they evicted us shortly after. They claimed because there were holes in the wall, the only hole was by the front entrance where there was already a slight hole when we moved in. We have pictures. It looks as if the previous tenant hit the door to the wall, and they patched it. They could have added a simple spring so that It would not occur again. Especially in the wind, the door hits the wall. We put a piece of wood by the door so that the hole would not get worse. In the process of moving, and slightly relieved from moving, they came to lock us out a day early. They took items from our house while we were moving into our new place, and claimed to have returned them all, and they did not. They have been very unpleasant and flat out rude. Slumlords does not even begin to sum this realty up. They do not care to fix anything, but when they do, they want you to pay for it. They are flat out rude and do not care for their renters. I HIGHLY recommend to find a new realtor if you are looking to rent. read more

Nori sold a house for a lady I met in Pahrump. She has got to be the most incompetent, arrogant realtor I have ever met. She couldn't even take decent pictures of the property. The pictures she posted just showed one end of the house. No pictures of the inside of the house, front of the house with picture window. The many trees on the property. The owner had to take pictures of her property and send them to Nori. After those pictures were posted in the realty magazine the property started getting showings and finally sold. Nori worked against this lady through the entire realty process. I also saw another listing from Nori of just a tree. Where the house was I have no clue. I can't believe the owner of Access Realty would let there realtors conduct there business with such incompetence. Nori should have her realty licence revoked for the way she treated this lady. We rented a house in Pahrump for a little over a hear through Access. Price was ok, but far overpriced. I guess my first recommendation would be to never move to Pahrump unless you absolutely have to as we did, because it's a horrible community and really just dirty in general. Tons of drugs, crime and nothing to do with young kids. Anyway, even though we left the house in good condition, Access kept our ENTIRE security deposit due to "damage to the garage door". I don't know when the garage door was dented. There were visible dents all across the door long before we rented it, however we were the "lucky" tenants who were tricked into paying for a new one for the owner. I found it beyond ridiculous to pay for something that would have needed replacement anyway, let along the total of our deposit which likely didn't match the actual cost. Pahrump as a town is trashy and to say the people are less than educated is an understatement. We would have actively perused this issue in small claims court, but at the end of the day didn't find it worth our time. Basically, this company robbed us into replacing the door for the owner, and frankly I'm pretty sure they saw us coming. What a poor way to do business. Not only that Kim was RUDE RUDE RUDE to deal with, although we had more than a reason to dispute this. Robbed by this highly unethical company!!!!! read more

They will charge you for an application fee of $40 each adult and will nvr ever return your calls! And contradict what they say! Save your money and go somewhere better! I found a better realty that charges 35 for an application regardless of how many adults! And got approved the same day vs waiting for a local call from these people! read more

We are in one of the rental properties managed by Access. When we placed the deposit on the rental property and paid the first months rent, there was cabinets that needed to be repaired. We didn't officially move in until a month later. Access had a month to repair the cabinets before we moved in, they didn't do that. Plus all of the doors wouldn't close, and they squeaked. My BF got tried of waiting for Access to adjust the doors so he did it himself. We move in and waited another month to have the cabinets in the kitchen fixed. Then we go to use the oven, and it reeked of cat urine and dead mice, to the point it made us sick to even smell the stench. We waited another couple weeks for a replacement stove. Then we kept telling them the bathtubs weren't installed right from day one. Access told us that they would take care of the bathtubs when they broke. Well one cracked at the beginning of January, and its still not completely fixed and now were at the end of February. Just like the doors my BF was just about to fix the tub himself before they decided to stop putting us off. Though the summer, our well stopped working and Access told me to go out and check for ants and to clean the control panel. I didn't see any ants and that has 220v running through it. I know nothing about wells, I could have been electrocuted if i didn't have the common sense to not do what they said. Plus i pay rent for a reason so that I don't have to make repairs! I called them back they sent out someone and he told me that it was dirty and cleaned it. Then through the winter our pipes kept freezing, Access told us to buy a wrap from Home Depot to put on it. Why should I buy a wrap that I can't take with me when I move. Thats not right! So Access finally got tried of me calling and a month later decided to put the wrap on. We had to run the water every night to keep the pipes from freezing. I am fed up with Access not doing the repairs correctly and timely. The air ducts have holes in the bottom of them and most are covered in cat urine and mice feces. When we asked Access to just have them vacuumed out they refused. We vacuumed out as much as we could and we could have had another 5 cats with all the hair and stuff that were in the vents. I find that Access doesn't keep communication open and sometimes it feels that they forget about you. I wouldn't recommend Access to anybody with half a brain. read more

I have several single family residence rental properties in Pahrump. Like most newbee landlords I self managed, but realized with being out of town I needed someone local to manage my growing portfolio. My agent who I buy thru helped me but he would rather sell then manage so I had to look elsewhere. After TRYING to discuss my situation with 2 other alleged property management firms in Pahrump, who basically had their offices closed when I attempted to visit, did not return calls or called literally 2 weeks later, I stumbled on Access Realty. I began slowly with one property. Dan, the manager of the Property Mgmt. division is very knowledgeable about all aspects of property management and works with me on all problems that come up. The office is officially open Mon to Fri but someone always seems to be there on Saturday and Sundays. Kim Washington, the owner is always available in emergencies when they do happen, which is what has prompted me to write this. I had a new tenant move in over the July 4 weekend. It turned out the airconditioner had a leak and there was no freon. She went out on Sat afternoon to try to open the cage covering the AC, but we could not locate the key. We could not get a locksmith, and could not get a handyman to cut the lock off. We decided to wait to the next day when my handyman would be available. Later I found out the handyman was out of town and would not be in town on Sunday either. I called Kim later Sat evening and informed her of this by voicemail. Sunday AM she went back over to the house and through sheer determination was able to get the AC cover removed so the unit could be repaired. When I spoke to her of this to give my appreciation she said she was worried for the tenant because it was to be so hot that day (over 100). Needless to say the tenant was very happy with her, and I could not be more happier myself. This is but one of many instances where Kim, Dan Kelly, Terri the office manager, and their team have aided myself and my tenants in the different situations that arise in the field of property management. When I was first looking at them to handle my properties, I sat in the lobby of the office and watched how they treated their clients. I was impressed with what I saw. They treat the tenants and prospective tenants like I would like to be treated. I also want to point out they use a computerized accounting system that all landlord customers can access from home. The information/data base is real time allowing a landlord to know his delinquency status and run various revenue and expense reports. I make heavy use of this, and being a taxpreparer with many tax clients who have rentals properties, I have never seen one of my clients be able to use the computer based reports and services that the Access Realty property management system uses and provides. read more

I moved to Pahrump from back east last year for a new job, and upon my move I knew I had to find a rental quick, I was a bit nervous because I know these things take a bit of time, so I knew I would probably have to rent a hotel room for a week or so until I could find something. I came upon Access Realty as I was driving into town, and the minute I walked in I was told to view the rental list, there were many different options of properties to choose from. An agent took me out to see a couple of the properties right away, I didn't even have to make an appointment. When we returned back to the Access Realty office I was told I would be able to move into the property that very day. I sat down with the property manager 20 minutes later, signed all the proper leasing paperwork and BAM I was able to move in just like that. They truly made my moving experience so much easier. I don't know what I would have done if I did not come across this company I would have probably paid tons of money for a hotel room, and having to eat out every night because I wouldn't have had a kitchen, etc. I mean Access even offered a gentleman to help move my furniture out of my U-haul truck for me. The stuff that I have dealt with for the last few days very disrespectful I found a beautiful home which I have been searching for for the last 5 months for me and my family I applied there was no reason whatsoever for us to be denied other than maybe somebody had a better app than ours they bad-mouthed me said I had evictions on my record which are not true and I also gave them proof of that anyway point of the matter Pahrump is a small town what gets said usually gets back to the person for you to bad-mouth a client the way they did is very disrespectful on top of that they send me to a house yesterday that said was more up my alley what does up my alley mean especially when I drove up to the house and I could not get past the garage because of the smell of cat piss now let me tell you the house that I apply for was definitely not like the house they sent me to so with that being said I felt very disrespected degraded and they discriminated against me and I'm just asking myself why why did I deserve to get sent to a house like that that when they're office person was called on about it on a speakerphone she's left and said she knew it was gross and it was a million times worse and that they just needed to get it rented fast to me that sounds like they said I was in a hurry or that I was desperate no honey I'm sorry I am not desperate I've been looking for five months and I will continue to look for another five months if I have to I am looking for the perfect home for me and my family I will never ever refer them to anybody that I ever know they definitely only got one star for me cuz there's not a place to put 0 Stars this is not the first time though I have been disrespected by them they disrespected me for years ago also when I was looking for an apartment when I first got to town but we won't go there I looked past that and decided to apply for them again because they do have beautiful homes but once again but I was disrespected by the staff and their broker Kim never again will it ever happen ! read more
