Meant to inform the FACTS of ACCESS REGINA.
REGINA - PLEASE SHARE THIS :
DO NOT BUY INTO ACCESS REGINA, ESPECIALLY THEIR HIGH SPEED FARCE.
Access Regina internet speed sucks. After 1 am, they CONSTANTLY control flow of data and or completely have their internet OFF (maintenance they say) to control torrent usage.
Regular peak hours or mid-peak hours: Access Regina's HIGH SPEED loads a youtube video ONLY as fast their REGULAR rate. Often times, a simple 200mb streamed video has FROZE on my 3000 dollar Macbook Pro, with the cache completely cleared on THEIR HIGH SPEED. Phone calls to their call-center will prove this scenario: "Hmmmm sir, have you restarted your modem? Oh I see, and the high speed internet is still not any faster? But my computer shows your on high speed and you HAVE our newest, best modem ACCESS offers. " - Thanks Mister-call-center solve-any-problem.
Here is another FYI. It took me speaking 76 minutes with a non-native English speaker on the ACCESS call-center ( support) to learn about their billing scheme. I will spare you quotes from the silliness. Here it is:
Access bills you on a regular billing date, however, it is based on a continuous average of 30+ days of mid-peak hour (8 am to 2:59pm) and peak hour usage 3 pm to 1 am. You must, YOURSELF as the customer maintain this floating-point average to ensure it never goes above 200GB within those 30 days, otherwise your internet is SHUT OFF and must go to a community to review to have it mandated back on. Now consider, watching a HD Netflix movie of 2 hours..... probably around 3GB? Consider watching HD Netflix TV shows, Arrested Development et cetera.... factor in, Youtube interviews, etc.... especially any GAMERS out there????? You 200GB for 30 days works out to about 6.66 GB of allowable MAX usage per day. Creepy number huh? hehehe Here is another, tidbit, coincidentally after I had finally gotten a CLEAR definitive answer that usage from 1:01am to 7:59am, my HIGH SPEED internet went to a CRAWL - that is WAY BELOW where it was before paying more money for high speed (which also allow included 200GB of data usage, otherwise lower). So, I CAN only surmise that the tech made extensive notes, to me being saavy on ACCESS Regina's convoluted data usage policies and somehow constricted data flow at non-billable hours.... otherwise, ACCESS Regina suddenly began that shady mandate city-wide at coincidentally that period of time because it DATA stream was logically faster
than day-time when internet increases 1000 fold.... Curious huh?
What's more their high-speed rate just JUMPED 40 dollars more recently.
See ya Access you SUCK. read more
