First watch out for sneaky broker fees that he never verbally informed me of and snuck it in the…read moreagreement...I'm just noticing that now..smh..WHATEVS...but now My emails have been consistently ignored when I needed to make changes to my rental insurance...once I notified him my plans to cancel or modify my rental agreement from 1 year to 6 month (bc my apartment management made me sign a 6 month lease when they usually make me sign a 1 year lease) then I noticed I was charged a renewal fee of $98 for a one year policy after just 3 months...his excuse when I asked about the renewal charge was, "I can charge the renewal charge at any point I want."...even after just 3 months when the policy is for a year...and I just told you several times I want to shorten the policy?? BS! Then I told him he has to notify me before he charges me..and he said he sent an email...not true..and when I asked him to forward the email...nothing...and when I spoke to him he was unapologetic, had a major attitude, and told me he would charge me the $75 early cancellation fee (which was at his discretion)...even after a previous email stating he'd take care of me. !!!!!!BE WARNED OF $150 broker fee for rental insurance. He did not appropriately disclose this fee, because there is no way I'd pay $150 on a $220 policy! BOGUS!!! He is now ignoring me and refuses to forward me the email he sent about the "renewal fee". WHAT A SCAM! I have still yet to get a refund after being charged a renewal fee just 3 months into the policy...Its been almost a week of my texts and emails being ignored...I can't even get a response except on here...smh. Alan was great quick and easy when he's getting money...but once you need help adjusting a policy or getting a refund for being wrongfully charged, he will flip. He still has yet to apologize for overcharging me...I AM BEYOND SHOCKED! SMH...I will be contacting the guy who referred him to me from my car dealership and letting him know about his horrible customer service and lying on customers on yelp when they have receipts smh ‍‍ UNBELIEVABLE...and I'm a therapist smh...thought I've seen and heard it all...INTEGRITY IS NOT HERE. TRUST. From an honest social worker, single mom, and advocate for what's right and the truth. I'll first note that the agent I was referred to, Miriam, got me a great rate on insurance for the…read morecar I just bought. She also purportedly works until 8pm during the week which is great if you work until 6pm but need to go by their office. There end my positive comments. My contact info had been forwarded to LA Auto Insurance by the salesman I was purchasing my car from. This started a daily barrage of phone calls and messages, occasionally ramping up to 2 or 3 calls in a single day. I finally contacted Miriam, was quoted a price and then was able to complete all paperwork and set up EFT for my monthly payments via fax at the dealership. Right in the middle of going back and forth with Miriam on the phone and fax with information and paperwork she informs me that the quoted rate she gave me is ONLY valid for a married individual and I would have to give her someone's name to use as my "spouse". Shady. Since enrolling in a policy through this broker I have tried to contact them several times now to change the deduction date of my EFT as my online account page informed me that in order to do so I must speak directly with an agent at LA's Auto Insurance. I called the office, asked for Miriam, received an extended pause on the other end of the line and then was told that Miriam was at lunch but she would call me back when she returned. I left my name and phone number. I never got a call back and this was a full month ago. I tried calling again. Erica answered, I told her my reason for calling and she asked me "well did you try to change the EFT date online?" Hello. Why would I be calling you if that was an option?? I explained to her that "online" it directs me to call and speak with MY AGENT if I wish to change the date. She then asks me if I can call back in maybe 30 minutes. What? I ask her if there is a problem and if she will be able to help me because this sure as hell sounds like a blow off to me. She apologized and claimed to be short staffed and currently helping another customer at the moment and was "very busy". I told her I am also very busy at work and hung up. Why would she not take my contact information and call me back as soon as she is finished with her customer? SHADY. Shady shady shady shady shady. Customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. This is an excellent example of quality being directly proportional to how much you're paying. I'm switching as soon as my policy contract ends which unfortunately is not until next year. My bad for being overworked and busy and just going with a company that would do the rate comparison for me. Do yourself a favor: shop around and find your own deals as there are many out there.

I recently became uninsured and to be frank, I knew nothing regarding Obamacare/Covered California. Anna took care of me and literally answered every one of my questions. I wanted to know more about coverage, the future of the Affordable Care Act and how that affects the insured, the difference between Obamacare and Covered California amongst other things. She offered her honest advice and with that I made the best decision for me. The process took me about 30 minutes but that is because I had a sack of questions, however; it usually takes an average of 10 minutes. I came out without paying for their services. That is right, as far as signing up to Obamacare/Covered California, there is no service charge, all you are asked to pay is your premium (i.e. your first month's payment). As stated previously, Anna answered all of my questions despite having a long and painful commute every day to work on top of getting tons of calls (it was the last day to sign up for Covered California so the phone lines were ringing) and despite all of this, she was in great spirits.
