I have received some as gifts but had never visited the store itself until now. IMO this is a unique place in Sweden, or anywhere. There are two sewing machines right in the store, and everything is made in Sweden. The designs are delightful and the fabrics are workmanship are quality. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices! The dollar is strong right now and these items were much less than I thought they would be. I bought a computer case, a makeup case, some dish towels and other gifts. Don't miss Hilda Hilda when shopping in Stockholm!

The interior is unique and is supposed to look like some type of magical world which is pretty neat. Staff is really friendly and helped me a lot. This whole place had a lot of different local items that were so cute. Some items included: jewelry, kitchen gadgets, backpacks/wallets, notebooks, cards, soaps, stuffed animals and other kids items. I picked up a handful of smaller items that didn't seem unreasonably priced. The woman working at the counter was also super cool, and asked if I wanted to get my items tax free and explained the process for when I go home and showed me details of how to do it.

Nice and helpful staff, friendly and never pushy. A good selection of products and best of all: very fair prices. Bought some typical tourist stuff (first time in Stockholm, so why not). This store may be small but it seems to have the best curated selection of handcrafted Swedish goods compared to others. It does mean one may have to look up and down in addition to sideways as yours truly did in order to find something :) I was about to walk out with something small when I saw a very nice necklace for my wife just below my field of vision in the showcase at the checkout. I can be very picky about my backpacks, and I've tried a number of brands (Filson, Frost River,…read moreDuluth, and more). Right now, my go-to backpacks for exploring far off lands are the Sandqvist Forest Hike and a Sealand X DHL Stormers from South Africa. It's hard to explain, but both offer the right design combination of pockets, zippers, and compacity. My Forest Hike replaces another Sandqvist backpack that I carried for years on Earthwatch Expeditions. And just when I was planning the next one to the Mackenize Basin within the NWT, it gave out. As I happened to be in Stockholm around that time (off a nearby cruise ship), I was very pleased to be walking down the street and seeing the their Flagship Store and Studio. That visit was invaluable in trying on and picking my next Sundqvist backpack. I got to try it out in the Canadian wilderness for a solid 10 days and it performed like a champ. It has more capacity than my Sealand, which I use as more of a day pack. At the same time, more Sandqvist backpacks are tempting me, particularly anything in their Hike series. But alas, there is a difference between "need" and "want".

Their bags may be more on the expensive side but that's because they will last you a long time. They are durable and stylish.
